The service was good. The technician was excellent. He had a professional demeanor, he cleaned up after himself, kept the worksite hassle free, and kept the schedule on time every time.

The kitchen in our new downsized home was not functioning well for me in terms of cabinet space and efficiency. We did not want to replace with new cabinets because we wanted to keep the existing large granite countertop surface. American Wood Reface provided the perfect solution for us with an updated look, high quality cabinets with actual wood surfaces everywhere, re-configured cabinets to drawers, small inefficient drawers changed to single larger drawers, and the list goes on. Scheduling could not have been better. We have dealt with many contractors and trying to nail down a schedule for the work well in advance is typically a huge challenge, and then highly likely to change. AWR was able to specify our schedule early and kept to it. That was a big relief as we juggle work schedules and other commitments. The craftsmen were very courteous and professional on the job, and checked in with us to verify details such as placement of undercabinet lighting and cabinet hardware. We could not be happier with the results, and it does NOT look like a "re-do" of a kitchen...it looks completely new. My hesitance to give an "A" on price is due to the fact that the job only took 3 days rather than the estimated 5-7, so I feel it was a bit high on price for the labor involved. But in the end, still way more than a complete kitchen replacement would have been and I would highly recommend them.

We felt the job went exactly as planned and scheduled. There was no high pressure sales; a quote was given upon the very first consultation. Samples and examples of their products made the experience very convenient as it all took place in our home. Our salesperson (Melissa) was very responsive, polite, and a pleasure to work with, as was our carpenter (Scott). The project was started and completed as scheduled.

We were VERY pleased and satisfied with our experience with American Wood Reface. They were professional, knowledgeable, patient, helpful and went above and beyond from start to finish. They were meticulous in the planning/measuring phase and they were also willing to work with us on a few special requests (created a removable piece for the fridge cabinet and really beautiful and functional floating shelves in place of some cabinets). Our carpenter was outstanding. He did really beautiful work and was kind and friendly and a pleasure to have in our home. He always listened to our questions and concerns and was very reassuring. He did a particularly outstanding job with the backsplash tile and the floating shelves, which add a really unique component to the kitchen. He also cleaned up well at the end of each day, making the whole experience very easy. The cabinets look amazing - like brand new. We chose glass doors for two sets of cabinets, which really adds to the overall effect. We are so pleased with the outcome and simply can't imagine it looking any better. It really surpassed our expectations. We highly recommend American Wood Reface.

I Am a retired tool and die maker, so I’m used to expecting perfection and boy did Patrick deliver. We are so happy with the quality of his work and the timely manner in which he completed it. And the owner Jason Hicks made sure that he went the extra mile to make us happy. I will definitely give them an A+ rating to anyone who asks me. And I’m looking forward to recommending them to all our friends.

Not very well. The sales rep was good. The workmanship not good. The door fronts were not painted well. Most of them had to be taken off and repainted. Still after that, they were not 100% and bother me when I look at them. The lazy susan door was incorrectly put on and another person had to redo it. The person who did the tiling for the backsplash admitted that he had not done that pattern before and watched a U Tube video to see how to do it. The spacing was not even. The grout was not properly cleaned. For weeks, I was cleaning grout off the tiles, and the caulking was places where it shouldn't have been. The grout mixture, when mixed in the kitchen, splashed on to the bottom of our refrigerator. It left a mess, which the person applying the grout denied doing. It was extremely difficult to remove from the stainless steel. A different person had to come back and clean it. Where the grout and tile met the corner of a wall, it looked awful and a second person came out to try and fix it. After making it look minimally better, we were told that the painter we had coming to paint the kitchen afterwards, would have to essentially make it look better. The painter was only able to do so much and commented on what a bad job the tiler had done. I have tried several times to fix it with paint. It still looks bad. I could detail other quality issues, but I believe you can understand what we went through with this company. I have pictures, which I sent them, of the poor painting job on the cabinets and the tile mess. For the cost and quality, I definitely would not recommend them.

The refacing of kitchen cabinets, along with overhead light fixture replacement and crown and base mouldings was extremely well done by American Wood Reface in January, 2018. I've had numerous compliments and 2 of those couples remarked how they would make plans to have their kitchens replaced in the near future. The kitchen looks beautiful!! We would do it all over again if we would move to another house.

We are thrilled with our new kitchen. From start to finish American Wood Reface was prompt, attentive, and professional. Mary Jo, our initial representative was thorough, offered great design assistance, and explained the process in detail. She took all the time that was needed and did not pressure us to decide or to make a sale. In fact, she offered us a year to decide and almost a year later when we (finally) responded, she remembered us and immediately assured us that of course the initial agreement would be honored. The actual work took about two weeks to complete and the carpenter was easy to work around. His work was perfect in every detail. Every square inch of our new cabinets and drawers are beautiful. Honestly we were a little wary about refacing as opposed to going with new cabinets but we could not be more pleased. If you choose American Wood Reface you will receive exactly what is promised and you will not be disappointed.

My experience with American Wood Reface was flawless from start to finish. The salesman was knowledgeable and provided references in my neighborhood. There was no attempt to “up-sell” when I said I wanted to re-use the existing cabinet hardware. One re-design suggestion was made which I’m forever grateful that I accepted — I love the pots-and-pans drawers that replaced a cabinet with pull-out shelves. The carpenter who executed the job was highly skilled, exceptionally neat, and detail-oriented. He was delightful and fulfilled every request I made. The only hitch was I did not like the grout color used between the new granite counters and existing wall tile by the sub-contractor. The office promptly sent someone to change the grout to the lighter shade I preferred. I am thrilled with the overall results and get frequent compliments. Thanks to American Wood Reface, our kitchen looks like we did an upscale remodel for a fraction of the price. Highly recommend!

Perfectly! Removed all material, cupboards, countertops, sink and more. Reconfigured new drawers and cupboards, resurfaced everything, new countertops, new sink new hardware! Roger did an amazing job! Looks beautiful and would highly recommend this company. Took 9 days and was so worth it.

The entire American Wood Reface team was great to work with. Mary Jo was our salesperson and was very knowledgeable about the entire process. She let us know what to expect and helped guide our decisions. She was very responsive with questions or changes that we wanted to make before our project started. Derek and Anthony were onsite to do the actual project. Both were vey easy to work with, had good attention to detail, and made sure to clean up the work area when they were finished for the day. Derek did all cutting in the garage so we never had dust in the kitchen area. Derek easily answered any concerns and was able to come up with solutions such as how to make adjustments to the drawers on either side of the cooktop which was wider than our old cooktop. They worked quickly and efficiently and finished the project in 8 days. Eric responded quickly when the countertop cutout for the cooktop needed to be adjusted for the cooktop to fit. Andrew from Top Advantage was out the very next day to make the adjustment and actually installed the cooktop for us! We are very pleased with the results. The kitchen looks great and the overall quality of work was excellent.

Can't imagine how this could have gone more smoothly, and we LOVE the results!!! Roger was our carpenter and he did a masterful job. American Wood Reface partnered with Rock Solid Surfaces on the sink and countertop, and everything looks as beautiful as we could have hoped. Tear out and redo was completed in 10 working days at a price more than a third less than quoted to us by other kitchen reface companies. The work included replacing all the cabinet doors/drawer fronts rather than just refacing, and the quality of wood and workmanship on them is outstanding. I am so thrilled with the results! I was very confused with all the options out there until meeting with Leanne. She was so informative and had answers to all my questions. Her design suggestions were invaluable! Scott, my carpenter, was a total professional in all areas and friendly also. He really cares about the work he does and it is evident in the finished product! It was also important to me to have one company oversee and complete the whole project!!

I had some issues with this kitchen that had to be resolved as well as a complete reface, new counter top and backsplash installed. I was nervous going into this not knowing what to expect but quickly relaxed when Scott showed up and started to see the work he did. I can't say enough about his attention to detail. The kitchen far exceeded my expectations. He arrived on time every morning, cleaned up before he left every night and was a total pleasure while he was here. He made a plan for each day and executed it before leaving. He kept me updated along the way and helped me make some decisions on additional things I wanted to do to with the finishing touches. I also made a last minute addition to the job, after Scott arrived, that American Wood Reface accommodated and were able to execute before the job was completed. I truly appreciated that and the job was still completed on time. I want to give a shout out to Eric who answered all my questions, and there were a lot. He was so patient with me and never made me feel like I was being a pain which I'm sure I was. Also thanks to Marisa who fielded the rest of my questions and always replied in a timely manner. Jason, thank you for helping me decide how to accommodate the items into the kitchen that had to be moved around. The whole project went off without a hitch, was well organized, everyone involved was so helpful and every precaution was taken to insure everything was done correctly. The time spent on measurements both for the countertops and the cabinets was amazing to me. The granite countertops are gorgeous and that company was so professional as well. Sue was so helpful there when I went to view the granite piece that would be used for my countertops. I would not hesitate to recommend American Wood to anyone and have already done so. Top-notch would be the best short description I could give.

The company is excellent. From the consultant (Mary Jo), to the carpenter (Patrick) to the quartz counter tops. Everything this company did was top notch. Mary Jo checked in often to make sure things were moving along and Patrick did a superb job. We appreciated everyone's professionalism and pleasant demeanor.
