The sales person took her time and did not pressure. She was patient and helpful however there was some miscommunication requiring 3 change orders and added expense. The job was promised to be completed in 2 weeks. The 'installer' worked very hard, was very friendly, cleaned up each day very well and did a superb job. The finish cabinetry is beautiful and we've had many complements. However, there were many examples of miscommunication along the way and work that I assumed would be included was not. Remember that 'the devil is in the details'. I recommend to prospective customers to ask many questions. Assume nothing. Remember that THE INSTALLER IS NOT AN ELECTRICIAN AND NOT A PLUMBER. The job also ran over time. There were headaches. The finished project looks great and we are happy with out updated kitchen.

Great experience. Terry the carpenter was wonderful to work with, on time, friendly and did everything we asked and then some. Electrician Troy and tiling people were good as well.

The Owner promptly contacted me about the minor problem and offered to make things right. This was very much appreciated and impressive. This is a very reputable company and I would recommend them to anyone.

Their advertising says "forget everything you think you know about cabinet refacing." That's for sure! We have essentially a new kitchen! All but two of the cabinets in the main area of our kitchen were modified in some way or replaced. The new custom built cabinets eliminated a "blind" and provided a feature corner cabinet in its place. New drawer boxes were built with depth increased by one third. All are now "soft-close" with full-extension drawer glides. We chose country pine stain on select cherry with full overlay and New Venetian Gold granite counter tops. Beautiful! Although there is a disclaimer regarding natural defects in wood products, we were concerned because the doors were so perfect that one stood out (the one on that feature corner cabinet) due to the natural imperfections. That door was replaced. We couldn't be happier!

Rick the carpenter arrived on time every day and did an excellent job! Very friendly and professional and finished within a week. Would highly recommend him and the company. The kitchen looks great!

Although we signed the contract in May 2014, we were not scheduled for installation until almost the end of October. A testament to the amount of contracts they signed in 2014. The job went extremely well. They started on time and finished on time. There was a little hold up for installation of the backsplash in the kitchen due to illness, but all in all--this was a great experience in remodeling for us. Very professional organization as well as very personable to deal with. Would not hesitate to suggest American Wood Reface to my friends and family. And would not hesitate to use them again. I also should add that the Kitchen and bathrooms look awesome!

It went just fine. The expertise of their carpenter is what stands out the most. When he said he would be here he was. I would tell a friend that he did a very good job. We are very happy with his work. They look beautiful.

Wonderful job, I love everything they did - from start to finish - The carpenter cleaned up every night was very professional. The workmanship is beautiful you would never know the kitchen cabinet are refaced and not new - the two bathroom sinks, cabinets and granite counter tops were totally replaced - and as promised job is complete in two weeks. It has been a long time since I have been this happy with a contractor.

From the original quote to the completion every appointment was on time and if not received a call they would be late . The quality of the work is exceptional. Anytime I called the office if I left a message it was returned promptly. I guess my biggest surprise was that the frames of the new cabinets where constructed on site. Now days everything is so prefab this really was impressive. Brandon who did the cabinets definitely took pride in his work and it shows in my kitchen. Matt who did the tile also did an excellent job and both asked what I wanted before starting a job and during. My kitchen was left every night is good order and I think I was only without use of my kitchen sink for a day and a half maybe two. I think that is what I most like about this process is that you don't have a mess with everything being torn out and there are no unexpected cost. The quote is what I paid at time of completion, and after getting some quotes for a complete teardown where it was always stated plus any unexpected problems. I needed to know what the final cost would be as I saved up to finally get this done. I also like that they used the 1/4 inch plywood to overlay on the original cabinets and not the stick on veneers that I have seen before. They provided new drawers with the soft closing option. The quality of the finish ( I chose white) is beautiful. My kitchen looks brand new and I love it. In the beginning it seemed like a lot of money but after seeing the process and the quality of the work I am now ok with it along with their guarantees on the finishes. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who asked.

All I can say is...I am SO in love with this kitchen. Ken Moehring was my contractor and he, along with Ray and Sean, could have not been more meticulous or more accomodating. The job was completed in 7 business days and they returned once to finish /fix a few things that I noticed after they had left. Recommend? Absolutlely Have them do more work in the future? You bet. I plan to use them for renovating my 4 bathrooms.

From the very beginning the staff was professional and prompt. Each day the carpenter insisted on cleaning the space and was very courteous. We our new kitchen.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with this Company. AWR did extensive work because some cabinets had to be rebuilt while others just needed to be refaced. The owner of the company came with great ideas and lots of experience. They came to begin work on the day they said they would begin and left when they said they would. There are some loose ends to be tied up but only because I made some changes at the last minute and now we need to wait for some additional parts for some of the cabinets. Their carpenter was professional and very courteous and couldn't do enough to make us happy. I believe that I've died and gone to kitchen heaven because I never thought I would like my kitchen as much as I do.

Within weeks, a project designer from the installation company, S E Services Inc., came out and took very exact laser dimensions. This is the contractor of choice for Cambria quartz products. They did a very professional job in removing the old countertops and installing the new ones as well as the new under-mount kitchen sink we had purchased ahead of time - all in one day with hardly any mess. SE Services also arranged for the plumber to install all new plumbing work and reinstall garbage disposal - again all in one day so disruption was minimal! The biggest inconvenience was OUR prep work in removing everything on the counters, naturally, but also all the drawers and cabinets below so there was easy access for them to remove and install, and the clean up. Good time to get spring cleaning/sorting done too of all the stuff one accumulates over the years in ones drawers/cabinets! :)

What a phenomenal company to work with. We could not have asked for a better experience than what we received from American Wood Reface. From MaryJo(sales), Jason(measurements) and in particular, Brandon(Installer), everyone was fantastic. The quality of the work is phenomenal. Everything feels so solid and top notch quality. Workmanship in custom built drawers, doors, etc., are amazing. I can't express how great an organization American Wood Reface is to work with. Brandon, our installer, came everyday on time. Stayed all day. Never left. Cleaned up every speck of dust at the end of the day. Blew the garage floor clean. We would recommend them to everyone.

The whole process was both professional & seamless. Very detailed on the measurements & the quality of the cabinets was excellent. The installer was very efficient and careful. Very happy with results.

My husband and I contacted AWR to have our 1990's kitchen refaced based on Angie's List reviews and our rather tight budget. Ben, our salesman, was very nice and patient with us as we changed our minds several times throughout the process. Because they have a busy schedule and we had other construction happening in our home simultaneously, we booked ourselves out several months. Once the day arrived for install, Brandon, our carpenter, arrived to start demo of the kitchen. He came, on time, every day and worked long hours. Our project was to take 5 days, but took 7, which was not a huge inconvenience to us. The resulting product looks like high end custom cabinetry and the quartz countertops are gorgeous. I have no complaints about the process and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an upgrade without completely busting your budget!

Completed the work on time in a very professional manner. No follow up by salesman. They lost a piece for our fan, but paid to the piece replaced.

Omg! Our cabinets exceeded our expectations..."stunning" is the term I used to describe them to pat, our carpenter, upon completion. Mary Jo walked us through every detail & the cost was way below what we budgeted for. Everything went smoothly & professionally. Pat was the best. He put up with our 3 dogs, one of them a St. Bernard. We had a lot of work done over the years in our home, & American wood refacing is no. 1 on our scorecard...

The entire process was very professional. The sales person did a thorough job of explaining all of the options and helping pick the best solutions for our kitchen. The installation was performed much earlier than originally projected. The single carpenter who did the job was very competent and easy to work with. Whenever there was a choice on how to handle an item he went with the one that we preferred. Every night he cleaned up the mess before he left so we could use the kitchen. All of the materials and workmanship was first class. The end result was terrific.

The carpenter was on time, pleasant and very capable. The granite people were great at measuring and installing - all. The front office sales person was helpful and ready to assist. It was a very good experience.

Everything went well and the end product is truly amazing and excellent, My old kitchen was transformed into a new kitchen that looks like one of those kitchens you see in home remodeling magazines. One of the things I liked about this company was that their product is made of 100% solid wood and it is guaranteed for life. The cabinets look brand new and you cannot tell they have been refaced. Their price is very reasonable compared to other companies and you don't have to pay anything up front until the job is completed. Other companies wanted ridiculous amounts up front before the job even started. There is no high pressure salesman who tries to force you to commit to this company. I was provided another company, Rocksolid Stone Works (RSW), where I picked out a granite counter top, which looks really beautiful. The work took approximately one week to complete and the counter tops and sink/faucet were installed on the second day. The carpenter that did the work was very good and cleaned up at the end of each day. Jason, the owner, suggested that the kitchen island could be redesigned so that I had 6 large drawers instead of 4 very small drawers and 2 cabinets. I was skeptical at first because I wasn't sure how this would look but I really love how this turned out and it has helped me to stay neater and more organized! I would recommend this company to anyone looking to reface their cabinets.
