This work was for a tiny kitchen - but American Wood Reface managed my job as with the professionalism and perfectionism as if it has been a huge job. Working with them was a pleasure. The initial consultation helped me to decide on the changes I wanted to make in the kitchen, and they were supremely helpful during the follow-up visit to choose the finishes. The selection of cabinet doors (woods, stains, styles) was excellent and I found exactly what I wanted. The team was very helpful in discussing styles and colors for my countertop and handles/drawer pulls. They were patient and thoughtful in explaining the advantages and disadvantages of features. Jason was meticulous during the detailed measuring; and we refined the plans at that time. I probably wouldn't have thought to even ask for the soft-close hinges and drawer glides - but I love them! The functionality of the pull-out drawers in my pantry has given me usable storage where I formerly had jumbled, disorganized and dysfunctional space. There is a long-lead time for the cabinets to be ordered/built, but once the date was scheduled they never wavered. Pat arrived on time the scheduled start day and was super conscientious! He did beautiful work -- especially considering, remember I said the kitchen was circa 1948? I don't think there was a level surface or a straight line in the entire space. His work is just perfection; it looks beautiful! He ensured I was comfortable with all the details, such as the placement of the door/drawer handles and the way each cabinet door opened. A true craftsman; Pat was also a true gentleman. I felt entirely comfortable having him in my house all day when I was at work. He cleaned up at the end of each day, and finally left me with a kitchen that gives me daily pleasure - I love it! The only drawback I can think of was how long the lead time was to have the work done, but it was well worth the wait. Thank you *Pat* and American Wood Reface!

Fine. The guy was very neat at putting stuff away. It was real nice. He measured all the pieces just fine and refaced the cabinets. He was good.

We chose American Wood Reface because of the quality of their product. Our sales person, Mary Jo London, listened to our ideas and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't ask for. We wanted a kitchen island built and two other companies we had in for estimates told us we didn't have enough space for one. Mary Jo measured and assured us we did. She was right. Within an hour she had our measurements and door and hardware choice. She left a detailed job estimate (which was the actual final price) and didn't put any pressure on us at all. Our installer, Patrick Hill, was professional, courteous, very friendly and the best finish carpenter I've ever hired. We couldn't be happier with the results. Their price for genuine wood was nearly the same as other companies that want to sell you laminate. If you are looking to reface your cabinets this is the company to hire.

It was a great experience right from the start. Everyone we dealt with was polite and informative. We did not feel pressured at all. We had to make some last minute changes in the design and they were more than willing to do it with no argument or extra charge. They even made suggestions to lessen our overall cost and still be able to get the result we wanted. We can not say enough about our installer, Patrick. This young man was a joy to have work in our home. He completed all the cabinets alone and his work was excellent. He was so precise in all his work, our kitchen looks beautiful. He actually handmade our new cabinets. He cleaned up after each day's work. This is a good company to work with good product . We would recommend using them.

The good - our main craftsman, Roger, was terrific. Very skilled, did meticulous work, was not intrusive and cleaned up fully every day. The company was very open to customizing our work and was able to provide the finish and distress level we wanted, as well as did some other custom work that was beyond just refacing - adding a wine rack, granite-topped island, installing a new oven, etc. The end result exceeded expectations - materials and finish were very high quality and we feel we truly have "new" cabinets at 1/3 the cost. A few minor challenges - There was a communication issue regarding the selection of our cabinet hardware, leading to a delay that resulted in our worker moving on to another job when our project was about 90% done. It has taken over a month to the job finalized, though the company has been very responsive and helpful during this time. Overall, though, we couldn't be happier with the end product, and would highly recommend AWR to anyone considering kitchen refacing or remodeling. They provide a level of quality and customizability that is far beyond what Home Depot or other refacing companies can offer.

American Wood Reface was the third company that we talked to regarding updating our kitchen. Our initial contact was Mary Jo and we instantly knew this company was head and shoulders above the others. Mary Jo was professional and knowledgeable. Our initial carpenter, Rick brought decades of experience to our project. We had follow up work with both Terry and Brandon. They all were excellent and professional. We were very comfortable leaving our home in their hands. We have never encountered a company so dedicated to have us 100% satisfied. After we signed our contract, Jason the owner called and made suggestions that further improved our finished project at additional cost to them, but never asked for a penny from us. I don't think you could find a better company.

Roger, our carpenter, was fantastic. He arrived promptly each day at the prescheduled time and always did a thorough job of cleaning up when he left for the evening. We were so impressed at the unbelievable attention to detail that he put in to transforming our 22 year old cookie cutter kitchen into a beautiful, warm inviting space. They said it would take about 8 days and ended up taking 9 but who cares as it looks amazing. AWR made everything so simple. I was also impressed with the fact that there is no down payment required. All money is paid to the carpenter on the final day (checks only -- no credit cards). Also, I purchased a new disposal and range hood which they installed at no additional cost. They do outsource the counter and backsplash tile work but the gentlemen that they used for those projects were extremely professional and caring as well. I liked that they built into my pricing the labor to install the backsplash tile and then we went and picked out what we liked. They even offered to check if they could get our final tile choice for less through their distribution channels. I would highly recommend you speak with this group if thinking about redoing your kitchen. We were very impressed and absolutely love our new kitchen.

The job went well and was completed within 5 days. It looks like a brand new kitchen. at a much lessor price then then a new kitchen

It was wonderful from the first meeting with MaryJo who helped us with design to the measurements to the final installation! Everyone was professional, helpful, courteous, and patient. Mary Jo followed up and was very helpful with planning and design. Roger, our carpenter, was amazing!! His work was flawless. His attention to detail is matched by none! He kept the mess to a tiny minimum and cleaned up everyday to the point I wondered if he was there! Roger was pleasant and patient and he went above and beyond what most carpenters would do! I highly recommend American Wood Reface. It could not have been easier and my kitchen looks AMAZING!! Thank you all!!

It went great, from the start with our sales rep Mary Jo, who was so helpful and informative to the great work by our carpenter, Ray. All the employees we dealt with were very professional and spoke very highly of the company. Each day I watched with excitement as the job progressed, and was still awestruck when it was completed. In addition to the reface, we had our original cabinets extended to the ceiling and under counter lighting installed It looks like we had all new cabinets installed, it looks great and I love, love, love, my new kitchen! Would highly recommend this company.

Fantastic. I am very pleased with the results. Looks even better than I expected. No one would ever be able to tell the cabinets were refaced - looks like a brand new kitchen!

My carpenter was Pat, who did an excellent job. He went above and beyond to make sure everything went as planned. His overall work ethics were excellent as well as his craftsmanship. During the restoration period, he left the area as clean as he found it. I would highly recommend this Company and Pat, my carpenter.

It went very well. The garage was used as a shop area to keep the dust from cutting to a minimum in the house and the area was partitioned with heavy plastic inside. The job leader kept us in the loop with frequent questions as to how we would like the final product to appear. He offered options where applicable so that we could choose. This is our second kitchen that AWR has done and the quality and outcome were as amazing the second time as the first. Also, AWR took the kitchen apart carefully and reassembled the equipment that remained carefully so that all we had to do was unload the cabinets and reload them. We purchased the new faucet and provided the tile for them to install both. I have no hesitation recommending them.

By the time they left, the kitchen looks absolutely beautiful ! I will continue to refer them !

The sales lady, Mary Jo London was excellent and pointed out things that should be done. Terry Murray, the craftsman is excellent and did a truly professional job. He was meticulous and careful. There was an unexpected delay in the delivery of new drawers, but in the end, not consequential.
