American Wood Reface

Overall, American Wood Reface (AWR) provided professional service throughout. Ron was conscientious of our time constraints and patient with us as we finalized our decisions. Terry came out to measure for our project. We had some questions/concerns, and Terry modified the plan accordingly. He always took the time to listen and to explain the details which was much appreciated! Pat did a fantastic job to transform our kitchen. He met a few unexpected challenges, but always found a solution without complaint. Like Terry, Pat was very attentive to any questions/concerns we had. We appreciated the care he took to clean up each day. Even the garage area where he did much of the work was kept tidy. Unfortunately, one of the cabinet doors came damaged from the shop, but it was fixed and re-installed within a week. Much appreciated! We also appreciated the fact that every person involved arrived on time and that the job was completed on time (actually one day ahead of schedule!). As for the kitchen, it is beautiful and functional. We had the cabinets refaced (White Dove finish), reconfigured one base cabinet into two drawers, and transformed two old knick knack shelves into a garbage can insert and an enclosed cabinet with a door. We also had the cabinet above the refrigerator reduced in case we upgrade our refrigerator to a taller one in the future. All drawer boxes were replaced with soft-close full extension ones which are so much more functional than our old ones! We are very happy with the new kitchen.

Everything went well except a small miscommunication when I changed the hardware I wanted on my cabinets. Jason was going to order the new hardware and forgot when I Called after waiting 2 weeks. Mary Jo, in sales was Great and walked me through the whole process from beginning to end. She always returned my phone calls when I had questions.

Our salesman Ron was very professional and helpful in our decision making process. He was very knowledgeable about the company and the product and not at all high pressure. It was a much better product at a more reasonable price than two other companies we met with who offered laminate instead of wood. Our installer Derek did an excellent job, cleaned up every day, and kept us advised of the progress. I love my new kitchen which was completed in a week and without all the mess of tearing out the old cabinets and replacing. Every piece of wood matches perfectly and the trim work ties everything together. We also replaced all our drawers so they now pull out completely and you can reach items in the back. We chose to have the doors glazed which really adds a nice look to the project.

We couldn't be more pleased with our amazing kitchen transformation! Our salesman Ron explained all the options and expertly guided us to cabinet, counter top and backsplash choices that reflected our ideas, worked well together and complement the flooring we had already chosen. Our carpenter Scott did a beautiful job with everything from the re-facing and backsplash replacement...to the plumbing and electrical work needed. He was obsessively neat, punctual and a pleasure to deal with throughout the week-and-a-half project. The Cambria countertop intallers also did a professional job. We would definitely hire these folks again!

We were very pleased with the carpentry and tile work done by Ray. He did an awesome job and our kitchen looks brand new. The countertop installers also did a good job installing the countertop in a quick and courteous manner.

After talking to several companies that did refacing we chose American Wood. It was a great decision. The salesman was knowledgeable and very responsive. In fact he returned several times to answer questions and help us decide on options we were considering. As far as the workmanship and product quality it was top notch. From the time Ron came over to discuss the process, brought back the samples to choose from and then to the 2 weeks it took to do the actual work, it went wonderfully. I highly recommend this company. I felt like Ron walked me through all my choices, helped me understand what should be done, without feeling like he was just trying to increase the price. My kitchen looks so beautiful now!

Excellent. Could NOT have gone better. Everyone was professional, excellent at their work and polite and punctual. I need my kitchen everyday due to multiple food allergies. The whole job was finished in less than 3 weeks and I was able to use most of my kitchen in the evenings. The resulting kitchen is now beautiful and functional.

Mary Jo came to do the original estimate and she was very knowledgeable about the services offered by American Wood Reface. We decided to go with them and our job was set to start on July 9, 2018. The carpenter assigned to our job, Derek, arrived on time on Monday to start the demolition work in the kitchen. Derek worked for 8 days to transform our kitchen. He was very meticulous in his work. He was thorough and very adept at completing the resurfacing job in a timely manner. He cleaned up at the end of each day which was greatly appreciated as we have a small dog that like to get into things! I appreciated Derek attention to detail as he completed our job. Could not have asked for a better carpenter if I had tried.

So happy with my new kitchen reface with roll out drawers, extending all the way out to see all my pots, pans, bowls, utensils, ets. Don't have to get down on my knees to find items in the back. Saw American Reface at Home and Garden Show and was impressed with the Oak cabinets that we went with in a Ginger color. Replaced our counter top and am very happy with it. Ron came out to go over everything with me at first, and then came out a second time to let my husband see what I picked out. He detailed everything and seemed very honest and suggested ways to utilize the space in our small kitchen. June 11th thru June 15, Patrick Hill, our carpenter worked on the reface.. He went over our schedule to coincide with his, arrived at the schedule times and took his time to make everything fit to our older home dimensions. We let him use our garage to put up his horses to cut pieces of wood. He kept the kitchen dust down with a vacuum and supervised the men working on our countertop and sink. Overall, we are very pleased with the kitchen reface and would highly recommend American Reface.

Excellent and knowledgeable recommendations from Mary Jo in sales; accurate site inspection from Terry; and really great carpentry installation from Patrick. We are very pleased with the updates to our 30+ year old cabinets.

The entire experience from beginning to end was virtually stress free! Our salesperson was very professional and extremely helpful in guiding us through the process. All the materials used were high quality. Our carpenter was great! Very professional, paying attention to every detail, and did just a terrific job! Our kitchen is absolutely beautiful! The job was perfect. Mary Jo, the sales representative from American Wood Refacing, was very helpful and thorough. She made several suggestion on how to make our kitchen more efficient by just re-configuring some of our kitchen base cabinets. She did not waste our time and came fully prepared to answer all of our questions. The material used was top notch and Ray, the carpenter for this project, is an excellent master craftsman in his trade. He was efficient, kept a clean job site and completed the project on time. Ron the salesman was very helpful as we selected our cabinet wood and accessories. Patrick the carpenter was excellent! He was precise, thorough, professional, and did a fantastic job! The follow-up with Rick to check the under-cabinet lights was prompt and courteous. This company is first-rate and we are completely thrilled with our kitchen improvements!

They came to our home for everything, but the review of our granite, 25000which was convenient. We’re just very happy with the final product.

With a referral from one of my friends/neighbors, they did our kitchen cabinet refacing and counter-top replacing with granite last yr. Without comparing the price with other vendors’, I can’t say their price is the lowest. As far as the quality of the work, we like the result so far. During the remodeling process, we even requested to make a small modification and they did. They are very professional from the initial in- home consultation to the final cleaning. They have never pressured you to make a quick decision, which is different from my experience with some contractors who do so call “free home estimates.” When we first asked Mary to give us a quote, she did the measurements and provided us a detailed quote. After that she left us to make our final decision without even making us to sign the contract right away. Overall, I am satisfied with the service provided and highly recommend it.

The project was much less painful than we thought it might be. We couldn't be more pleased with the finished job. Everyone we dealt with was courteous, punctual, and willing to answer any and all questions along the way. From the very beginning, our salesman Ron was very patient with us. He obviously wanted to make a sale, but there was no pressure or attempt to "up sell." He concern was to show us the options and let us decide what was right for us. Scott, our installer, was very detail oriented and did an outstanding job for us. I don't believe he could have done better for his own mother! The completed job was done on time and right on budget. NO SURPRISES!!

We were very pleased with this project from beginning to end. We were very pleased with the range of finishes offered and grateful to have a sample of the finish we chose provided to us. The sales representative, the estimator, and the carpenter were all very professional and great to work with. They were great about informing us when each activity would take place so that we could plan around them. Our carpenter, Scott, is a true craftsman and was pleasant and courteous to have working in our home. He kept us posted day by day of what he anticipated would be completed during the day and when he hit a couple of snags, he immediately informed us so that we always felt like we were knowledgeable of progress. He worked such that he was the least intrusive as possible and we could carry on with a pretty normal life while the work was being done. One thing we really appreciated was his cleaning up after himself at the end of the day. We did not feel like we were living in a "construction zone" during the completion of our project. At the end of the project we were very pleased with the result and are really enjoying working in our "new" kitchen! What a transformation! We would highly recommend American Wood Reface.

If you are sick of your kitchen, hire this firm and ask for Patrick. Our kitchen was transformed from blah oak to fresh brite looking white. His professional craftmenship transformed our kitchen to a modern fresh look. When my wife saw the final product, after coming home from work, she cried. It was more than she could have anticipated. Ron came to our house and showed us samples of the refacing wood. He helped us select the best one for what we wanted for our kitchen. He was very honest in explaining the cost, and all the benefits of the upgrades, including soft close hinges. Scott arrived on time each day, and completed the job ahead of schedule. The end result was an updated kitchen with beautiful cabinets, that look brand new.; No one could ever guess that the core, being the old cabinets, is over fifty years old! I highly recommend this company, as you get top value for your money. They are not cheap, but I think they are the best at what they do.

Ron Ipavec who was the sales representative was great. He was patient and attentive to me while still giving me good decision making ideas. He was a real pleasure to work with. The job at hand did have a few issues but were taken care of and fixed to my satisfaction. I would use them again and I will refer them.

Our cabinets were of high quality, just dark, beat up and dated, and this company refaced them with beautiful hickory. The project included new soft close hinges and hardware, plus new granite countertops with a deep undermount sink. The process was easy, and the kitchen is beautiful. We had the kitchen and ceiling painted prior to beginning the process, and the floor is being replaced as we write this. They installed the new kitchen faucet and new appliances that we supplied. All in all, the transformation is stunning and was much less than it would have cost to gut the kitchen and install new cabinets.

After deciding to reface rather than replace and after discussion with a family member as well as viewing the many reviews for this company as well as others on Angie's list as well as the BBB I chose American Wood Reface (AWR). I am extremely pleased with the outcome. Ron from AWR met with me for my initial consultation and he was very knowledgeable of the product as well as offering me solutions to a space problem in the refrigerator area and he responded to any questions I had with no time constraints on his part. In addition he went the extra mile to provide me with samples of my choices and there were NO high pressure sales tactics used during any part of this process. After deciding to go with AWR Terry from AWR came out to do the precise measurements and again walked thru everything that would be done and answer any questions I had. I ended up doing the cabinet refacing in cherry wood with Tuscan stain and counter tops were replaced in granite (Santa Cecelia Classic) as well as having custom cabinets including pantry built by AWR in the refrigerator area. As a side note Rocksolid Stone Works who AWR uses for the counter tops I met with Sue at Rocksolid to view the different granite slabs that I was considering and she to was extremely knowledgeable and even went so far as to show me additional slabs she thought of that ran along the same lines as those I was looking at. Sue also took whatever time was necessary to answer any of my questions. Finally and last but certainly not least I can't say enough about my carpenter on the job Ray, besides being a true gentleman he was meticulous in everything he did and his work turned out fantastic, he is a true craftsman. Ray also installed my new over the range microwave as well as installed the new faucet including hooking up the plumbing after the granite was installed. In addition, every night prior to leaving for the day Ray took the time to clean up the work area including the floors which in my mind is extremely important for any contractor one uses. Would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to do this type of project.
