Don’t let your time and money be wasted by this company. I’ve actually ordered dirt or stone from Albrecht on three previous occasions. The service has been worse with each new order and I will choose another company going forward. It was okay when it was only inconvenient, but now it has cost me money and it is time to move on. I generally prefer to order from family-owned local businesses. Indeed, they are less than a mile and a half from my farm and I’ll never use them again. On the last couple of projects, I have begun to get the same responses from their office personnel regarding fees and services. Nobody working there knows anything about their own products. They can never tell me what the cost is of any particular medium, how much they have stocked nor when it can be delivered. I get the same sort of answer each time “I’ll have to call Isaac” or “I’ll have to ask one of the guys”. Even the simplest question causes hours of delay waiting around for someone to call me back at their convenience. This last project was for ten tons of gravel. Admittedly, it was the Thursday before New Years, which was on the following Sunday. I called around noon on Thursday and nobody answered the phone. There’s one day of delay. I thought maybe they would call me the following morning or perhaps they were out on a long weekend. I waited until noon and called again. Someone answered this time and I asked them if they were in the office Thursday. They stated that they were in all day. So I said “So, I left you a detailed message midday Thursday; nobody decided to listen to your messages or call me back?” She just gave me a brief chuckling “sorry” and just sort of blew me off. It was like this was no big deal. So I asked about getting ten tons of gravel delivered and I got the same answer “I’ll get ahold of Isaac and have him call you”. I asked how much it was and she didn’t know. Almost five hours later I got a call from “Isaac”. Now it was the end of the day. That’s two days burned. He said he didn’t know exactly when because he hasn’t been feeling “real great”. I said “well I have a team of laborers I’m paying to trench some drains on Monday so I kind of need to get this stone by early Monday. You guys do a half day on Saturday don’t you?” He said usually but he didn’t know if he would do it Saturday morning or Monday morning but that they’d “get it done one of the days”. He did complain that he didn’t want his truck getting scratched by any trees. So I went outside and removed some items from the yard and prepared the drive so he could get straight in. Saturday came and went. No call. No show. (that’s three days) Monday my laborers show up and start trenching. No call. No show. “Isaac” calls Tuesday afternoon and asks me if I still need it. I said “Yeah I needed it yesterday when my laborers were here. I had to pay a team to come and not finish the job!” His response? Not “I’m so sorry” or “How can we make it up to you”. He simply shouted “Hey, I never guaranteed you anything! I told you I wasn’t really into it”. The conversation degraded after that. I didn’t curse. I didn’t use any foul language. But I did hear a few classic “chest beating” phrases like “nobody talks to ME that way” and such. I did however say “No sweat. I’ll fairly review your company online. Thanks for nothing” He was incensed and I had to hang up. If you need to get a project done and you want a professional company that won’t cost you time, money and normal human decency and respect, call anyone other than Albrecht. Total days lost: 6 Total money wasted: three laborers for a half day each. I still have trenches all over my yard that need filled.

Everything went great.The person showed up on time and spread the stone perfectly.I love my new driveway!

Based on reviews I saw on Angie's List, I contacted Albrecht Trucking for a price for #57 limestone for a 17' x 100 foot driveway and turnaround. Kelly quoted me a fair price and explained all charges up front and we settled on a time frame for delivery. The weather was bad on the day of scheduled delivery but Kelly kept an eye on the radar, saw a break in the weather and after several phone calls to keep communication open, sent the truck. Isaac, the driver, did an excellent job of spreading the stone and as had been previously discussed, we saw the need for a second load ( They had to use a smaller truck due to wires and branches overhanging the driveway, so we decided to get one 10ton load and then see how much more we would need and order a second load if necessary). The second load was needed and delivered as agreed upon and again Isaac did a great job laying gravel down just where I wanted it as well as shoveling and raking into a couple of places the truck could reach. The job went just as promised and as expected. The price was fair. Albrecht employees were courteous and very helpful. I will definitely deal with them again and will recommend them to others.

We selected Albrecht Trucking over others even though they came from a farther distance. That added a little to the delivery charge, but it was well worth it. We were totally satisfied with their price and happy with the finished job.

Mark and I estimated the amount of #57 driveway limestone needed for my 150 foot driveway over the phone. 14.65 ton at $20 a ton plus $75 delivery fee from Medina. The amount of gravel was correct for the drive, he was prompt on delivery, and the stone was spread evenly. I have no complaints.

They got out and raked a little, they did the whole driveway. I would refer them to anyone. It was excellent, they were courteous and thanked us for calling them. They were wonderful. We have never had such a great experience. Their price was very reasonable.
