A Ki Restoration is a locally owned and operated business in Medina Ohio, serving all of northeast Ohio. We are able to provide customers with exceptional service because we choose to keep our company small and personal, instead of taking on too much work than we can manage. We specialize in insurance restoration, which means that we come out and evaluate damage to your home caused by weather and determine whether or not it is something your insurance company is required to remedy. Unfortunately a lot of valid claims are denied everyday so when your insurance adjuster comes out your A Ki estimator is present in order to make sure the adjuster recognizes the extent of your homes damage and gives you the help you deserve. We know the laws and we know the building codes so we make sure not one thing is left off of the estimate wrote up by the adjuster. If your home has sustained damage due to the weather you are entitled to fair treatment of your claim. If you are interested in having work done to your home out of pocket, we are also able to offer great labor at affordable prices. The roofer that we work with is a true craftsmen, raised amish and now conventional he provides incredible craftsmanship. Not only are his working skills impressive, his morals are exceptional. We are very proud of the work force we have created to restore your home to brilliance. Another great thing about working with A Ki is that most homes have a 25year 3tab on their roof, and because of the relationship we have established with our supplier and the amount of shingles we purchase we are able to provide a free upgrade to a 30 year dimensional certainteed shingle when your insurance company pays only for a 3tab. We pass our savings on to you. You can stop by the office to take a look at our display room with all of our window, siding, and roofing samples or an estimator can bring them out to you. If you're interested in remodeling your kitchen we can set up a meeting for you to discuss what you had in mind and view it in a program to get a preview of what your home would look like post remodel. A Ki Restoration is registered, insured and bonded. Any work done to your home requiring a license or permit will be shown to you by the individual performing work on your home. A Ki works only with the most qualified tradesmen, another reason we keep things small, because we have a limited amount of crews we feel are guaranteed to do a perfect job. Unlike some other companies similar to ours, we are not willing to sub the work out to people we are not familiar with or that we know for certain would treat your home as their own. We will turn away business before we take a risk like that. I will never use a company that comes to my door to say "you have storm damage and we'll get your insurance company to pay for it." Period. Don't even waste your time or mine.
Description of Work: This company has been canvassing our neighborhood for quite awhile. They seem to be the typical storm chasers. The way it works is that you give them the power to take money from your insurance company so you can get a new roof for "free." Insurance claims are the customers' responsibility, not the contractors' responsibility. Has anyone ever come to your house and said "your car has a dent, I'm going to estimate it and get your auto insurance company to pay for it"? I am wary of seeing unknown cars on our streets and receiving solicitations from storm chasers. The company will probably respond to my post by saying "this guy isn't even a customer so how can you believe anything he says?" Well, I'm not going to become a customer because any business that uses the homeowner as a tool to get their hands on insurance money is not a business playing fairly in my opinion. I have used a number of reputable local roofers in the past, and not even one of them has ever approached me saying I have hail damage from Katrina / Sandy / Whoever and they're going to get my insurance company to buy me a new roof. Reputable companies do not do that. This whole sales process screams CONFLICT OF INTEREST and should be stopped. A Ki, if you are a good company then do good work and sell on your merits instead of relying on insurance gimmicks.

Just as the previous reviewer said, way too many red flags for this storm chaser. They came door to door and would not provide an estimate. They have only been around a couple of years. They want you to sign a contract to use only them if your insurance claim is approved . Tthey say they dont need to provide an estimate as their software is identical to the insurance companies which sounds impossible to me. The guy climbed on my roof and showed me pics and said I had a good chance at a claim. I brought an established roofer to check it out and they found no damage. These guys are playing the numbers and hope they will get an adjuster out that wont bother climbing on the roof so they can persuade them. When they heard one of my neighbors had Allstate, he said not to bother filing a claim as he knew he couldnt scam their claims department. I cant imagine how they must cut corners if the roof actually gets approved by insurance. Do yourself a favor and cancel the contract if you signed it and bring over an established local company before you file a claim.

At A Ki Restoration our guys are professionally trained as estimators, and we will provide estimates if the insurance needs us to. Every highly accredited company has contracts so that when we get the job approved it will secure us doing the job. The contracts are very simple and to the point. We want to be a service to our community's and do what is write by the customer and insurance. We have an A rating with the BBB. One point I would like to make is that this guy isn't even our customer so he has no idea what our service is like. If you would like to know we have thousands of customers you can contact for an accurate review which the BBB rating speaks volumes. Ease disregard this comment as it is all false.

There was an Angieslist article on the 5 things to beware about roofing contractors. they hit 3 out of 5. Door to to , hey we are in the area and down the street we found storm damage, maybe you have it too. We need to talk to both you and your wife together, if you sign this contract we will take care of everything with the insurance agency. we will dot the job for what ever they pay, don't worry about the deductible. Trust me we don't need to give you a quote that is handled between us and the insurance company. Everything comment also seemed to be punctuated by, Hey we're on Angies List check us out. There were just to many lines used by these guys. They may do great work, but I didn't want to be the one to find out. We ended up using someone else.

Again, this isn't even a customer so how can you give an accurate review. Our estimators are very professional, caring, and highly trained to take care of our customers and theirs claims. We do have a contract that says once we get the job approved we ill get the work and 100% of the insurance money. If you go get in a car wreck and you take it to a body shop you won't be able to pocket any money so obviously this is a very similar situation except its with your property. We handles customers claims from the very beginning all the way until the job is done and final check is collected, and the warranty paperwork is given. We are highly replicable company and we are growing very fast while our work is efficient. We have an A rating with the BBB and we deserve it for the service that we give our customers. We make sure every customer is comfortable and satisfied. We are a company that takes great pride in our work and helping customers get their roofs, siding, etc replaced that they never would have noticed with out us. If you let our people work for you I guarantee you will get excellent service ad the job will be done right the first time. Thank you
