I was leery of getting a new roof. Our house is almost a hundred years old and had asphalt shingle over the original wood shake. As Matt (owner of MAP Construction) explained to me, when you tear off a wood shake roof, you have to completely re-deck the whole thing. In our case, that would mean almost 90 sheets of plywood. I had heard horror stories about roofing contractors and how unprofessional they were. And getting a new roof is a big scary-- your home is opened up and vulnerable for the few days it takes to complete the job. I was also worried about the high cost of a new roof. I had put away more than $20,000 and ended up spending a lot less. So I decided I would get 5 or 6 estimates. Matt responded first and came to our house at exactly the designated time. He spend over an hour and a half with me and my wife, answering all our questions. We didn't get any additional estimates. The whole process went exceptionally well from estimate through clean up. The whole crew was courteous, timely and a pleasure to be around. Matt checked in every day, returned my calls promptly and answered all my questions. In the end, the final bill was exactly what was estimated to the penny. I would have done the roof 3 or 4 years ago if I'd known it would be this easy.

I have used Matt with Map construction on over 12 roofs in the last 2 years. Matt has always been extremely reliable and we have not had any leaks or issues! Any minor issues that popped up, as happens with any construction job, Matt personally showed up to handle and made sure they were fixed immediately. The only roof I didn't use Map on, I had to have Map come out and make several repairs, will definitely only be using Map moving forward, highly recommend!

Matt was very responsive from the beginning, good on the phone, sent a clear and readable quote via email. Once quote accepted was able to schedule the job within a decent timeframe. Once both jobs performed they were done well. I would definitely use Matt with Map Construction again.

Matt the owner was the 1st person from multiple quotes I looked for that actually came out to meet me on the new property. That was a great first impression. I also didn't think think replying to emails / phone calls was that big of a deal...but MAP was on of 3 companies that actually replied back to me within 5 days out of the 5 companies I called. Excellent customer service. However for a roof replacement, the part most people care the most about is the price. They were the cheapest by a few THOUSAND dollars, which actually had me worried at first... Instead, they alleviated my concerns by remaining in constant communication, and being straight forward with the pricing and what was going to happen next. The month I planned to have my roof replace it rained a lot, and he conveyed that they need 2 days of clear weather to proceed...so our schedule got moved back a bit.... Not a big deal, and not their fault. The down sides: The folks that tear off roofs for a living are usually not the cleanest of people. They got rid of 90% of all the roof waste but there were a few scraps on the (woods) lawn of my property. I had to remove on garbage bin full of trash myself, and clean up a few odds and ends after they were done. But they finished quickly and removed an entire dumpster worth of roof-waste in 2 days, and gave me a great new roof. Would highly recommend! Thanks Matt!

Went very well. Nice guys. Only issue I had I just noticed months after work done. That was an old satellite dish was just left hanging off the side of the house. Other than that, nothing but praise for these guys.

Matt was great. Very reasonably priced and had no issues. We weren't able to be home but we left a key in the lockbox for them to get the job done. Very trustworthy and tidy.

We needed a furnace replacement, Matt came quickly for an estimate, job was done a few days later. They arrived on time for the job and left the work site spotless. The project overall was a challenge and included a house roof and a garage roof. The house roof was mildewed/rotted through in places and there was an old shake roof underneath. Plus it is a Tudor home with steep inclines that they were working on in early November. So that meant it was chilly with occasional snow/rain which meant the project took longer than we originally thought: the original estimate of 2-3 days ended up being about 5. However, the thing I REALLY appreciated about Matt and his crew were their accountability, communication and clean up. In terms of timing, Matt managed my expectations by making sure I was aware of delays and why they were happening (always weather) so that I could inform my tenant. This kept both me and the tenant from getting frustrated. Also, due to it being an old house, a pipe fell through my ceiling (no fault of MAP’s) and a window was inadvertently broken. Matt was on top of both! He got a plumber there ASAP to fix my pipe (who was so good I now use him as my go to plumber) and Matt personally removed the broken window, took it to be fixed and reinstalled it himself. Amazing customer service and accountability. And every time I called him with a question or concern, he called or texted back ASAP. As for clean-up, each day the driveways looked like the crew hadn’t been there. Matt even had his team clean up after the gutter guy (who Matt managed seamlessly although it was a separate company he brought in - also did great work). Plus Matt is actually nice - he genuinely thanked me at the end of the work which I appreciated. He was a pleasure to work with and seems to surround himself with other reliable contractors. If only all contractors/biz owners could be like Matt. I wish him and his company all the best and will definitely refer MAP to anyone else who needs a new roof. I highly recommend them.

Wonderfully! Matt the owner met his professional installer Mike at my home to insure the job got off with out a hitch all the tools were available. Mike works until the job was complete...past 10:30 PM. The job was completed with out a glitch and our basement was cleaner than when he started. We could not have asked for more.

They were in and out in 2 days, as promised. And I have a tall house, lots of square footage. Cheaper than the 3 other quotes I received as well! Highly recommend Matt and his team.

The 1st project replacing the Air Conditioning system, as a Consumer was successful. The 2nd project Roof & gutter replacement, also successful. I feel for next bunch of years, I will have peace of mind. And it is refreshing to know you can find Tradesmen, who know what they are doing.

Exceptionally well. I had a large, complicated hip roof that was damaged in a wind storm last March. I had originally contacted another contractor who strung me along for months. A friend of mine heard of my peril and put me in contact with Matt/MAP Construction. He was professional, prompt, honest and courteous. The work was performed when promised and Matt was very responsive to questions and needs throughout the entire process and even after the project was complete. I took a stack of his business cards and have been handing them out to all my family and friends.

I was very pleased with the work that was done and the concerns Matt had for his customers. Phone calls were answered promptly and every problem , no mater how minor, was taken care of without question. I would not only recommend this company I would adopt Matt as part of my family. AC went great, they were on time for the replacement and completed in on day, very prompt and professional The roof replacement went great. Complete work was done in one day, finished by 4pm. Protected the landscaping, cleaned after the completion including the magnet sweep to make sure all of the old nails were picked up. everything went smooth. My parents needed a new system and I didn’t want them to get taken advantage of. I called Map Construction and Matt came in with a significantly cheaper estimate for the same project that I had quoted by another company. The job was done on schedule, Matt communicated very well, the job was thoroughly explained and his team did a fantastic job.

Matt worked with us before we even purchased our home to provide a quote on a roof that we knew needed to be replaced. Matt was recommended to us from our home inspector, and I'm so glad he was. Matt was honest and took the time to explain everything he was quoting. He was not our least expensive quote - but he also wasnt our most expensive. I'm not sure how we got on the topic of needing a new furnace to replace our 1956 original "beast," but he mentioned he did HVAC as well. Our home didnt have central air at all. The quote for the roof was right in the middle of what others quoted for our roof: but the difference was the QUALITY of the shingles and the WARRANTY that was provided. Oh, and some of the people quoting the roof for us - let's say they were anything but professional. Matt is well spoken, very professional, clean (taking his shoes off as to not soil the repossessed homes already filthy carpets), and kind. We got a 50 year Owens Corning shingle for LESS than others were quoting on a standard 30 year shingle. We've got a great warranty and peace of mind that if anything were to happen to the shingles, we can call Matt or Owens Corning and they'll take care of it. The roof was torn off and replaced within 1 business day. The workers and dupster got there after I left for work at 8AM and were gone before I got home at 5:30. You would have NEVER known that anyone was there except the stark difference of our mold-covered roof and the brand new onyx black shingles. There was a little piece of pink plastic stuck in a shrub - that's the only way I knew someone was working on the roof. There wasnt a single nail left behind - everything was cleaned up and again, to me, it looked like roofing fairies visited the house while I was at work. Even over a month later, we have people in the neighborhood complimenting the gorgeous new roof. The furnace was a bit tricky - as it took the installer an entire day to tear out "the beast." The install of the new furnace was nothing. The brand new A/C seemed to be much easier. There were some electrical issues but Matt and team took care of them with very little strife on our part. We opted for warranties and efficient furnace and air conditioning units. You cannot get a more honest contractor than MAP Construction. We paid exactly what was quoted to us - not a penny more. I know Matt did a few "add ons" for us on his dime. Matt let us know what was going on the entire process. We cannot say enough about Matt and his team. If we need anything done on the house - we know exactly who to call.

Still collecting money to prepare to hire Mr. Matt and I should be calling in a month.

Seemless. Matt came by and explained the process from start to finish. I wanted to get other estimates, but when I called others, they wanted to just screw the insurance company for a small amount of storm damage. MAPP doesn't do insurance claims so they are up front. Completed and cleaned the property up to original condition.
