Description of Work: Following a very heavy rainstorm on Saturday May 30th, I experienced flooding in my basement and first floor ceiling. Due to the nature of the leak, it was clear that the water was coming in somewhere from the outside roof area. On Monday, I called several roofing agencies to get someone out as soon as possible as I was leaving the country for the next two weeks. Jim of Approved Roof Systems was the only person to answer my call directly. We arranged to meet at 10 AM on Wednesday. He was prompt and immediately identified the source of the leak and gave me an estimate. At the same time, I asked him for an estimate to repair and replace a flat roof and install new gutters. While I was away, he repaired the leak and completed work on the flat roof. The job was very well done and the area left pristine.

Description of Work: Jim Weigel replaced our entire large roof in 2005. He did an excellent job, as remarked by other contractors who have worked on the house. Jim has come back each year to inspect the roof after the harsh winters, and made minor repairs at minimal or no cost. Jim also replaced old, complicated skylights for us in 2014 and we used his excellent contractor for the complicated interior repairs and design problem. Jim is extremely professional, up to date, and very responsive.

He was very professional and suggested that I call a roof consultant to come out and provide a roof condition report. Description of Work: I CALLED FOR AN ESTIMATE TO REPLACE MY LEAKY GARAGE ROOF. THE OWNER RETURNED MY CALL WITHIN ONE DAY & ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY TO SURVEY THE WORK TO BE DONE. HE PREPARED A THOROUGH ESTIMATE- DESCRIPTIVE DOWN TO ALL THE MATERIALS USED & HOW MANY OF EACH. HIS ESTIMATE WAS NEARLY $200 DOLLARS LOWER THAN ANOTHER ESTIMATE I RECEIVED. THE REASON THAT I DID NOT CHOOSE HIS COMPANY WAS BECAUSE HE TOLD ME UP FRONT THAT HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE WORK FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER SIX WEEKS & THAT DEPENDED UPON THE WEATHER. I APPRECIATED HIS HONESTY, BUT I WAS AFRAID THAT MY ROOF WOULDN'T LAST ANOTHER SIX WEEKS- ESPECIALLY WITH WINTER WEATHER ARRIVING SO SOON.

Description of Work: GOT AN ESTIMATE ($2250) FOR RE-ROOFING GARAGE AND OUTSIDE WORK.

Description of Work: HE CAME OUT TO ACCESS A LEAKAGE PROBLEM, BUT IT TURNED OUT ITS UNRELATED TO A ROOFING PROBLEM. HE TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND WHAT THE SOLUTION WOULD BE.

Description of Work: HAD LEAKS DUE TO ICE ON THE ROOF. THEY CAME OUT PROMPTLY, CHIPPED AWAY ICE, FOUND THE PROBLEM, FIXED IT AND DID SOME PREVENTITIVE MAINTENANCE.
