+ -1 moreTom is a Microsoft Certified Technician (an expensive and through certification), who has worked for IT departments of international corporations. He was prompt, through, polite and rapidly took care of all of my problems. In addition, he gave me tips on taking care of other items which needed to be taken care of. He gave me specific instructions and stated that they were easy enough for me to handle and I didn't need to pay for something that I could clear up myself, I would highly recommend Tom Phipps for any computer repairs, as I found him to be very efficient and knowledgeable in all areas of computers, as well as the vast variety of software programs. He is a professional through and through and I would trust him with any data and any type of computer problems. This is a person who takes great pride in his work and deals very well with complex problems. For complex computer problems there is no one else whom I would recommend higher!
Description of Work: As a tax accountant it is imperative to have my computer working properly & utilizing the the security demanded by the IRS. At the end of January I started getting error messages, programs closed on their own & the unit was so very slow (DSL connection). I contacted Tom and asked if he worked on individual units vs international networks & he said yes! He was prompt, courteous and started to work after I tried to explain all the various problems I had. He immediately started to work, downloaded Registry Mechanic, cleared up syntax errors, found that my self installed outboard hard drive had duplicated my original hard drive which slowed the unit all on it's own! Tom explored everything, even things that appeared to be working. Explained how files could become corrupt & how links can be broken. Verified my antivirus, spam filter and other security features to make certain that the settings were correct for the data to be protected. The computer now runs like it's on steroids!
