I contacted Hansons for an estimate on windows we need replaced. Their quote was way too high in my opinion, and they harass by telephone CONSTANTLY. I downloaded an app called Mr. Number to automatically block the calls when they come in as they've become a nuisance. They quoted nearly $9,000 for 5 windows. Way too much

They came when they said they were going to. They did a pretty professional job of installing the windows. They were reasonably priced and the windows seemed OK. They haven't saved me that much in heating costs, unfortunately.

They were pure salesmen. I could tell the guy had nothing to do with construction and he was a pure salesman. It was not a good experience and we would never, ever consider going with them. They were very responsive and pushy as heck. They were there when they said they would be there.

I was not impressed with the contractor that they sent out to do the job. But our complaints were resolved. I didn't appreciate the contractor that they sent out. The job was well done up to a certain point but we had issues with it afterward. It took about a month to fix it like we wanted it. I thought spending that much money it should be exactly how I wanted it. We had took pictures of the issues that we had. They had two supervisors come out and look at it. It took two or three weeks for them to address it. Overall, that was the only thing I didn't like. After everything was finished we were satisfied. The salesman that came out and sold us the job, we were impressed with him and that's why we went on and had the job done. He did his job well.

I was really impressed by the salesman's presentation compared with the other companies we had out to our home. The product also trumped their competitors. I did my research regarding U-factors, R-factors, etc. (window and insulation energy efficiency numbers - the NFRC rates each product, and the companies have to disclose this information to you if you ask for it). Hansons numbers were very good and the final product looks great.

From our quote to installation to the final product - very pleased overall. Not to mention that the exterior of our home looks great!!! Looking forward to never having to paint my siding EVER again. :)

Had seen Hanson's television ads on TV for several years. When we wanted a price on replacing our roof, I went on-line and set up an appointment for my day off. The company called, and accepted the appointment. The day before the appointment, someone from Hanson's called to confirm the appointment. Their first question was would my wife and I both be at home the next day. I told them that my wife would be at work. All of the sudden, the appointment was a problem. The rep I was speaking to insisted that we both be at home for the appointment. I told the rep that having us both home would be a problem, since my wife was working 6 days a week at the time. On top of that, my wife really didn't care why style or color of shingles I put on the roof, only that the roof didn't leak. The rep continued to insist that we both be home, so an appointment was set for the following Sunday afternoon. Another rep called the prior Saturday to confirm the meeting. Five minutes later, this same rep called back to tell me they could not keep the appointment, since one of their estimators had just called in sick. Another appointment was set for the following Sunday. On Friday afternoon prior to this most recently scheduled appointment, a rep called to confirm the Saturday appointment. By this time, I didn't care if they came or not, and agreed to the Saturday appointment, since it would be my wife's first day off in several weeks. At the appointed time, the estimator showed up, and evaluated the existing roof. He estimated my roof at 40 squares, and was sure to cover up the numbers as he jotted down his calculations. I didn't tell him that I was able to read upside down, and he was crazy if he thought I was going to pay what he was writing down. The moment of truth finally arrived. Thank goodness they were having a half-off sale, because their "suggested manufacturer's retail price was $34,000 to tear off and replace my roof. But, since they were having a half-off sale, they would do the job for only $16,000 !!! I guess I didn't realize that it was my lucky day. I told the rep that I had only planned on spending about 7 or 8 thousand for a roof, so he quickly called his "manager" to go to bat for me. Problem was he told the manager I was only prepared to pay about $13,000 for a roof. Now remember, this was my lucky day !! The manager didn't lower the price, but agreed that I could give the rep a check for $50 to "hold my price." I guess I should have mentioned their website stated their estimated price would be valid for 1 year, but I bit my tongue. My wife asked if the $50 would be refundable if we went with another contractor. Of course, the $50 was non-refundable. Hanson's price was double the price that we accepted from another contractor, even after Hanson's half-off sale !! Needless to say, I won't be singing their little jingle, or calling them for any future business.

They didn't complete the project as quickly as possible. They had to come back later to finish the trim work. The price was phenomenal for the quality. They subcontract out the installation. There is a substantial amount of negotiating power with their price. They're able to come down a lot.

They weren't the most expensive nor were they the cheapest. They did an excellent job. The guy that sold the windows was very knowledgeable. The installers were very nice and respectful. They answered all my question very knowledgeable and thoroughly. They were quick and did great clean up. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend them to others.
