CABINET IMPRESSIONS DESIGN

Design of kitchen layout of island, perimeter counter and cabinets was very good. Total project was about 4 weeks delayed due to Cabinet Impression's lack of follow up on the salesperson/designer's behalf. The problems began when the cabinets were delivered. I had asked the Cabinet Impression/designer if she would be there for the delivery to make sure everything was correct. She said no that the general contractor could verify the cabinets had been delivered. A truck arrived with 1/2 of my cabinets because according to CI person, they were two different colors!!! As the cabinets were being offloaded into my garage, I noticed some of the boxes they were leaving were not mine. They removed them and found the balance of my 1/2 order in the nose of the truck trailer. Had I not been there, I would not have even gotten 1/2 of my order. For example, when we initially ordered our cabinets, I had mentioned I wanted a spice rack for one of the drawers. It was not until after the drawers were installed that I had to call my salesperson to inquire about the spice rack delivery. It had not even been ordered yet. She sent me an email asking me to make the choice. The island quartz counter top installation was horrible. Cutting Edge installed the island and perimeter counter top but mis-matched the counter top for the island. They left the job without going over the job with me first. It was not until I would not pay the final project payment to Cabinet Impression and insisted that our salesperson contact them to get them back out, did that happen. She initially told me that they (Cutting Edge) was really loaded with work. The Cabinet Impression salesperson/designer presented me with the final payment bill which I would NOT sign and the upper level of the island was not even delivered yet. Both myself and my general contractor could not get responses out of the salesperson on delivery of items. Often times, the promise dates given were never met. Both myself and my general contractor, Total Quality Construction, will never recommend Cabinet Impressions.DO: Contract for kitchen design ONLY (all their design takes very long as it is done on a drawing board, not on computerDON'T: Contract to purchase cabinetry and countertops elsewhere (will cost $500 for design) There were so many examples of poor customer service, to both me and my general contractor that they are too numerous to enumerate.
