I received a bed footboard with the serial number written in permanent black magic marker on it in clear view. On December 26, I was promised that within two weeks, I would receive a replacement. I am still waiting. I have called them numerous times and have put the bill into dispute. The general manager is nonresponsive and doesn’t seem to care at all about customer satisfaction. This local company used to be a great place to shop. Unfortunately, that has changed. I will NEVER shop there again. I do not recommend. Meanwhile, almost two months have gone by and still no bed and no communication from Appliance Center in MAUMEE, Ohio.

Never really write reviews but my blood is boiling right now and this is the only repercussion I can take since my problem was not resolved by staff or manager at Appliance Center. I bought expensive appliances for a house I am renovating. Took awhile to get them installed which was by a professional. Weird thing #1 - I bought the floor model stove at a discount since it was on a long back order. Stove is delivered out of box (installed incorrectly as the handle was put on over blue plastic, then plastic ripped off, leaving pieces sticking out) which is expected. The dishwasher and microwave out of box as well but fridge left in box. Dishwasher and microwave also have blue plastic syndrome. Plug in microwave and the metal on plug literary melted and a giant black smoke mark barked up my wall. Spent hours of my time and paid others to see what I did wrong. The answer was nothing... I got a bad microwave. Returned and waiting for a new one. Go to use dishwasher and I thought, how nice, it is super silent. Opened up and steam was coming out. Wow this is nice. After cycle realize dishes aren't so clean and the detergent pod is laying on bottom. Pull out, see water going in, going out, but never a washing cycle. Call AC and service person says can only send repair person and she cannot authorize exchange. Say can I talk to a Manager or someone who can? Hold forever with annoying commercial playing over and over with the jingle in the background. She comes back and says she cannot get one free but I will go on a list and be called... or go back on hold... God NO! That music and screaming about their specials. After an hour I call back. Service person puts me on hold again for the same length of time but chose, each time, to use the word "brief" which upset me even more. So, I am getting angry. She tells me to call back and choose a different extension to see if someone can get me manager as she cannot. Um, crazy. I did this with another long wait but more interesting is that I told the service person my blue plastic theory and asked if she could please tell me if all the appliances sold as new were actually new. She told me that she could see pictures of them taken by delivery people so yes. I said how does that tell you they are new? Is there a different method from pictures? She said yep and went down the list explaining the blue plastic theory proved correct and I was delivered floor models. Talk to manager finally and he says no exchange... same as the first person. I asked if he thought it was moral to sell something as new when it is not. He said it is new. I said nope, a floor model, that does not work. He said it was never hooked up. I asked if he could promise me that it was never bumped by someone, hit with vacuum, etc... He said no. I asked why couldn't he put this one back into the display and give me a new one. He said it does not work. I said who cares? You just told me it is never hooked up. He said how do you expect me to sell a broken dishwasher to someone. I explained that he did it to me. Anyway, so he went on about protocol, repeating the same thing over and over at such a pace that I could not get a word in until I asked him to please stop talking. I said do the service but I will no longer shop there or do the exchange a keep a customer. He went with repair and needed to put me on hold. Again, long wait. Guess who answers, the first person I talked to... but this time her attitude has changed as you could see over the phone her excitement that I was back to her and doing what she initially suggested. I used to deliver appliances for this place. We took a lot of care when we delivered. It is no longer free, at my last house the delivery people did not remove shipping rod in washer so it never ran right after I tried to start (don't know why I did not check), now the above, and to top it off I am wasting my Saturday typing this because I do not know what else to do. Sorry so long.

The sales associate was professional and knowledgeable. I shopped around for price and they matched it without a hassle. They were even able to do same-day delivery and haul-away of the old fridge. It was a great experience.

This was a bad experience. When I purchased my dryer, they sold me a dryer vent. When they came to install the dryer, the dryer vent was the wrong size. They did not have the right size on the truck and were out of stock at the shop. As I drove to Lowes to pick up the right size for the installers, I called the store manager Jim to complain and ask why the installers were not prepared. The manager was rude and kept speaking over me. Instead of listening to my frustration, the manager hung up on me. I was very shocked by the manager’s inability to professionally communicate and resolve the situation. When I called back to ask about the refund on the original vent I was told I would have to wait until it was reviewed by accounting. Whatever...

Bought a dining set and the bench cracked after only being sat on a couple times. After 2 months of calling to see what was going on they repaired the bench only to have it crack 2 minutes after the guy left. It was never touched after he repaired it and we heard it crack from across the room. We have continuously been told that they would call us back to let us know what was going on and they never call back. I have talked to Managers Jules & Jeff, which both promised to call back and have not. When I call they are always on the phone, gone, or with a customer and NEVER have they called back. I asked for them to come get it and a full refund but was declined. I WOULD HONESTLY NOT BUY FROM HERE AGAIN. Bought cabinets from them as well and they were crap. Even the sales lady said that she would not put them in her own home. They would not let us return them but ordered us new cabinet fronts only to have them look the same as the first ones. They sent a guy to fill the cracks and chips but fillers do fall out. VERY POOR QUALITY OF EVERYTHING WE HAVE BOUGHT FROM THERE AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MANAGEMENT IS WORSE!!!!

Description of Work: We bought a full sized washer and dryer from Appliance Center. When it was delivered the next day it was too big to fit in the space we had (I apparently didn't measure it correctly). The delivery guys were incredibly friendly and helpful considering that they had to lug this stuff to the second floor using a very narrow staircase. The Appliance Center gave us full credit for the sale and we applied to a small (and better) washer/dryer.

Sales was awesome! Working with Jane Davis is always a pleasure! Unfortunately, when she's done, the delivery and service folks are not that great. The brought my kitchen set (after I sold my old one) and they didn't have the hardware for it. They left it in the box leaning against the kitchen wall for four weeks. Once everything was set up, the chairs started to fall apart. Service was scheduled multiple times to address it and never seemed to call or show up. I'm still waiting for this service. Also, when the table was set up, they still failed to have the final hardware door the cabinet doors which are part of the table system. I still don't have those, either. I'm pretty tired of the no call, no shows. It was the same with the initial delivery. I had three different delivery dates. The first two were no call, no show.

Everything went fine and I was satisfied with the service and knowledge of the sales people at the store. It went wrong when I went to buy a converstion kit for the Gas Range that I had just purchased. I needed to convert it from natural gas to propane. No problem, I went to an appliance parts store to purchase the conversion kit. It was there that I found out that I did not purchase the newest model range, as I had thought, but instead, I had purchased last year's model (2013). The range on the showroom floor was priced at $949. The sales person told me he would sell it to me for $849. I thought that was a good deal so I made the purchase. With the startling news from the appliance parts store, I went to the Appliance Center web site and researched the model number that they sold me. I found out that the model they sold me is very, very similar to the floor model (which is advertised on their site for $949) and I would not have known the difference from appearance or features. What got me angry was that the model I bought was being advertised for $729. That's $120 less than the and quot;dealand quot; they were giving me! (Please note that I did not purchase the range from their Outlet store. It was from their main showroom.) I called the store and talked with the sales manager who apologized and offered to refund me the $120. Since there was little to no discernable difference between the two models, I accepted the offer. Bottom line is that the sales person was deceptive and truly dishonest. I am really disappointed with their lack of integrity and honesty.

The salesman was knowledgeable and accurate. No hype or pressure. I verified on line some of the information he gave me about which I'd wondered and found he was correct. The delivery crew were punctual, in fact early, and considerate. While turning on the hot water, however, the one doing the installing snapped off the valve handle. He found the shutoff valve and called the warehouse manager immediately, who sent out a plumber within 2 hours to repair the problem at the store's expense. The plumber told me that the handle that had broken was corroded and replaced it with a newer type. Delivery and installation was free. From start to finish, my experience with Appliance Center was totally satisfactory.

He cleaned up after himself. He laid down a quilted cover to cover the stove when he installed the microwave. He came the following day after the purchase to install it. The price was pretty good.

A couple of kids delivered and installed it. The machine vibrates a lot, which is not a good thing. They were okay except for that. The price was good too, but I'm sure I wouldn't use them again.

They have great appliances. It has been a good experience working with them. We shopped around and they were one of the only stores that had the Jenn-air oven that we wanted. They have good costumer service and are easy to deal with. I will shop here again if needed.

The moment we entered the store we were treated horribly by the sales people. I knew what we wanted and I was force-fed information, a sales pitch. We decided to buy anyway because their pricing was the best we saw. My wife called the store to check the sizes. I checked it against our cabinets and it was exactly one inch bigger than the opening, which meant that I would have had to cut a solid-oak cabinet to fit it. So I asked my wife to call back for verification before I cut. My wife got the same person, and was treated like an idiot for calling back about the same thing. They told her a second time that was the size, so we cut, which left our cabinets looking funny because of the way the doors are hung. They gave us the measurements to the top of the hinges on the front. It would've fit if we had turned it around and faced it toward the wall. I called them back, they will do nothing and don't care. I contacted the BBB and the BBB basically ignored it.
