 + -1 moreAlthough the subs were great, I feel that the owners themselves are not honest, do not return phone calls, and are not an advocate for you. We were told that air conditioning was impossible in the new kitchen and great room due to the age of the house and the boiler heating AFTER a price for air conditioning was agreed upon. We had already dealt with a contractor that had a heating and cooling company out to the house to map out the cooling and knew that it was not impossible. My husband had to leave work early almost every day to make sure things were being done properly. Many corners also were attempted to be cut and caught by their lead carpenter, an excellent worker. I would not hire them again to be my contractors. 6 weeks after the project was supposed to be done, I still have people trickling in to finish small projects.
Description of Work: We bought a house built in1844 last August and heard of Memmer through a family member. Ours was a renovation and addition project. We had two additions put on, adding about 2,000 square feet to the house. A kitchen, great room, 3-car garage, basement, mudroom, master bathroom, and closet were added.
