I have to resort to leaving a review, because the customer service at Stormaid is basically non-existant. With the exception of 1 phone call and 2 email responses from the receptionist. She is the ONLY ONE I’ve been able to talk to... and all she can tell me is “we’re working on it” I signed a contract back in November 2019 and Paid my full deductible...Which was the only out of pocket I was to be liable for! I picked out my new shingles, my insurance company approved the replacement, and I’m STILL waiting for ANSWERS. I was informed in April, by the receptionist, that due to COVID, my roof would be delayed and I was put to the bottom of the list, and my roof would be replaced in June. Apparently my salesperson had quit, and I had to send them copies of my contract, because they had no records. Since then, my insurance company also has had a very difficult time reaching anyone. Only recently, has she had email communication with one of the contractors. TYLER, was who I thought took over my account, and he hasn’t returned my texts, multiple emails and phone calls in the last couple months. I’m beyond frustrated, due to the lack of communication and neglect I have been dealing with. In 2 more months, this process will have been going on for ONE YEAR! I’ve never dealt with a company that has such horrible customer service! Especially when, THEY ARE THE ONES THAT KNOCKED ON MY DOOR SOLICITING MY BUSINESS!! I foolishly took the bait on their sales pitches, and gave them my business and THIS is the service I get? I hope this review generates some form of communication by SOMEONE at this company, other than your receptionist! It’s not her fault! The least they could do is to stand by their false advertising and salesman crap, and RESOLVE my situation in a professional and honest way that I was promised, BACK IN NOVEMBER 2019! My insurance has done their part, I have done my part... when and who will be taking care of YOUR PART, STORMAID?! Make this RIGHT!

The work was necessitated by the Memorial Day 2019 tornado/hail storm damage. I signed the contract with StormAid June 24, 2019. and paid them $18,658.00 as a deposit. The contract estimated completion of the work within 4 months. Over a year later, the company has not even set a date to start the work. Little to no communication has been initiated by the company throughout that period. Only after multiple attempts by me to reach them (phone, text, e-mail), and usually after a week or two passes, does anyone contact me. Even so, that response has typically been vague and noncommittal, with no assurance that the install will be done in any particular time frame. The representative who was originally assigned to me was apparently terminated from the company sometime after the new year (2020), without informing the customer or introducing any new point of contact. The weather this past winter was about as construction-friendly as we ever see in this region. I watched other companies completing similar work all around our neighborhood and throughout the area during that period. Even with two-months of downtime due to COVID 19 restrictions, 13 months (and counting) is not a reasonable period of time to complete the work - all while holding the customer's money. A reasonable consumer can only conclude that I've been ripped off! To summarize it in generous terms, this company exhibits poor customer relations and terrible communication, as they don't appear to even care whether they have the customer's confidence once they have your money. They engage in questionable business practices by taking the customer's money and holding it for over a year (and counting), while ultimately failing to even begin delivering on their contractual obligation. (I wonder how much interest my money has earned for StormAid over the duration?) There are plenty of legitimate, responsible and diligent roofing/siding companies out there. Unfortunately for me (and a growing number of others) Stormaid has proven that they are not one of these companies. For a deeper look, check out the story on the Better Business Bureau's site, where the overall "grade" is very superficial and misleading, but the growing number of formal complaints involving this company is very revealing.
