Company delivered a quote for business and started work. The company left the site without finishing the work nor did not notify me that they were not delivering on the intial contract. Owner Paul Powell finally showed up and stated he will not complete the work under the intial contract and will consider completing the work after an updated contract for $700 more added on the initial contract. The company is fraudlant in there work and work ethics. Stay away from this business.

AMAZING! Paul himself came and quoted the job. VERY reasonable, almost questionably so, but my neighbors had hired 3 years ago and they were very happy and the house looks great. The subcontractor was very professional, frequent contact, and tidy. The house looks amazing. Neighbors have actually stopped as driving by to complement it! There was no part of the process I would say "I wish this was better/different" 100% satisfaction from this customer.

He meets with you when you first contact him; he comes to your house and once the price is agreed upon, he sends out his workers. If there are any issues after the job is done, he'll come out to take care of it. I've always been happy with his work.

I had used the company 3 other times for exterior painting in the last 15 years. They did a good job on the exterior of my home. I asked the owner, Paul, to come take a look at the interior of my home for some painting. He gave me an estimate for about 2500.00 for the interior painting. I asked if he could send a women out for the painting and he said he had guys that I knew that would do the work. I ended up finding another company who had a women that could come out for the interior painting. He then said he could find a women to do it all of a sudden. I contacted Paul to let him know and he said I was under contract and if I did not hire them for the interior painting there would be a $150 fine. I ended up having to pay it. I was very displeased by this and will not use their service again. I think Paul poorly operates his business.

One painter was assigned to the job. He was routinely later than he committed to. In spite of his statements that he primed the areas it was obvious that he could not have, he surely would have seen the places he missed. When challenged he insisted he had primed all of the surfaces. There were areas where no paint had been applied at all, multiple areas where there was bleed trough of the original color. At no time did the primary contract holder come to inspect the job. We felt like we had to continually ride herd on the painter and finally withheld part of the payment until he addressed the sloppy paint job. We repeatedly took pictures and offered to show him the areas in question, but he really didn't want to see them. We had used this company previously and were pleased with their work. They had sent a team of painters and an excellent job foreman who made sure the job was done right. It was disappointing to receive such a bad paint job this time. We did not expect to have to perform the foreman's job and push the painter to do his job.

They did an excellent job inside and out.

He was very nice and considerative of my circumstances. I didn't end up utilitzing his services, but I will going forward if I still pursue the job, he even sent us a christmas card

The painter began well, then became completely sloppy. Paint was dripped on woodwork, on floors & on wood cabinets. Walls were treated & smeared 2 times broken in the house by the painter. It was so bad,another paint, company was hired to fix the paintings.

They sprayed the house as opposed to using a brush. The house looked nice after but had done no prep work. The put the paint on without cleaning the house first. After the entire house was painted, one of the guys mentioned we should have someone come check the chimney because the wood was rotted as well as the siding all around it. Instead of telling me before they painted they slapped the paint over it and told me after the work was done. The prep work makes all the difference and they do not do that at all. I would never recommend them to anybody.

Getting this job scheduled took weeks. Once it was scheduled, things went wrong and I fired them before they even started. The subcontractor showed up in a smashed up van, was 2 hours late, was completely unprepared, and was alone for what I thought was a large job. He began bad-mouthing Paul for not being aware of the job in the first place, and considered the job "fast and easy", which gave me the impression he was going to rush through it and it would therefore look awful. I kicked him out and hired someone else. Paul later talked to me and my husband to apologize for what happened. He gave excuses of this guy's previous DRUG HABIT as the reason for his behavior ... which obviously makes me feel really good (NOT) about having somebody like that in my home.

If the other painter we've chosen doesn't do an acceptable job, and we'd need services in the future, I'd definately consider contacting Paul Powell & Co. again. Again, nothing against them, but another painter just sold their services better.

He came and started using patronizing comments. I used him anyways as he had a high rating. Then his staff came out and those guys were great. He restricted his staff from doing work properly. The job turned out great because of his staff.

We've used Paul Powell in the past to pressure wash the house but not to paint it. This time we hired him for both. When he came to give the bid he gave me copies of his insurance and workman's compensation papers and itemized the contract (i.e. paint trim, paint doors, pressure wash house, pressure wash driveway, etc). They came to paint the day after hurricane Ike remnants blew through the Cincinnati area (September, 2008). We had a piece of siding torn loose and they replaced it for us.

The interior painting was about $900 and the exterior work was about $300. The price was a little high, however they did a very good job. The job was worth paying extra. He is very accommodating and nice. We will use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

Paul was prompt, pleasant, and thorough. The main reasons we did not use him were his price was not as low as another contractor and he was reluctant to use the brand of paint we wanted, since it was not his usual brand. ($2,900)

Initially I was pleased with the results of the work, but after 6 months, I am experiencing cracking and peeling of the paint on some window sills and bubbling, cracking, and peeling of the paint on a couple of door frames. I am currently in discussion with them regarding their one year warranty of their work.

It went great. The estimate was done quickly, they came on time, they finished up the job ahead of schedule and they cleaned up. Everything looks good.

The job went well overall. They came each morning as planned, worked hard but were pleasant. They moved all the furniture to do the work but moved it back each night so there would be minimal disruption. They even helped to re-hang some heavy artwork and a big quilt (we're both in our 70's so really appreciated them going the extra mile) without grouching at all. They made sure everything was as we wanted it before they left, packed up all their things and left us a lot of leftover paint for future touch-ups as needed.

Excellent work. The quote was very professional and easy to understand. I had to call about one item but they quickly told me what it was. The work was completed within a week of us approving it and the porch looks much better than before.

Paul Powell came out and did the estimate. He was on time and very precise. The workers were actually early and did a good job.

Paul Powell came out to give the bid and gave me details on what they would do. I spoke mostly to Kelly who pressure-washed the house and pavement. A third man repaired the step. Everyone at the company was professional, polite, and easy to work with. My house looks wonderful.

They also did all the prep work and pressure washing, as well as the trim in a different color than the exterior. They did a good job. Everything was great!

The finished product looked very nice, although I was under the impression that they would do more scraping & spackling of imperfections on the trim than they did.

I WAS NOT PLEASED WITH THE WORK DONE BY THE FIRST CREW. COMPANY OWNER IMMEDIATELY OFFERED TO REPAINT & DID. THE SECOND TIME THE WORK WAS PERFORMED VERY WELL.

GREAT WORK. I APPRECIATED THAT THE ESTIMATE THEY PROVIDED WAS DETAILED, & BROKEN DOWN TO DIFFERENT PRICES. NO COMPLAINTS.
