One Handyman & A Van

tI called James Payne the first of the week and explained I had some repairs we needed taken care, some of which I did not have time to do and some I was not able to do. He came out on Wednesday and looked them over, gave me an estimate of around $200 and we set it up for the following Monday. I did tell him about my son going into the hospital at the end of that week so I really needed to get these repairs done at least before then. He made some calls and was able to come out the very next day if that was okay with us which of course it was. We went out and bought the light fixtures that evening so he would have them there. He said he would be out at 0930 am, and at 0925 James was at our front door. On tackling the broken drawer, he did find that there were some broken parts he was not aware of, so he did have to run out to get those which took no time at all. He as done by around 0230 pm and our final bill was $210.00 due to the extra parts. James is a very nice man and we enjoyed having him at our home doing these jobs and will definitely call on him again in the future when needed.

James is very courteous, was prompt and did an excellent job.

Very thorough job in pruning diseased branches from a tree, patching a cracked wooden section on the outside of our hut tub and removing an old hot tub cover and firepit to go the trash.

Did not return my calls. Work was not completed.

Excellent experience. Punctual, professional, fast, and efficient. Will have him back after the first of the year to replace all our door handles from shiny brass to bronze. Highly reccommend!

Great service and quick turn around time.

We were very pleased. James came a bit early and got to work right away. He was very professional and did excellent work. He even vacuumed up sawdust and plaster dust.

Everything went very well. It took two days and both days Mr. Payne was punctual, professional, personable, and clean. Of course, we will have to wait to see if the repairs last, but Mr. Payne told us to call him anytime if anything goes wrong. We have had this done by someone else previously and we can tell immediately that this job by Mr. Payne was done correctly - not like the job done previously. We recommend this company.

He was exceptional. He had great ideas and pointed out things that needed to be done. He told me things that could be done without spending a lot of money. He was very good and very thorough. He called back later to make sure everything was done right. If I need other things fixed, he is the one I will call.

James arrived promptly and got right to work. He is very pleasant and personable. He cleaned up after he was done and I would definitely use him again. He did a great job.

Everything was fine. They were out here pretty quick and they were out when they promised to be.

I have never had any issues with James' work, his prices, or his professionalism. Best of all, he cleans up after the job.

We highly recommend him. He comes on occasions to do odd jobs around the house. He's reliable and is fair in his estimates and in his cost. He does his work in a timely manner and he doesn't extend it out. He comes when he says he's going to come. We would use him again in the future.

James was super professional. I received several estimates, his was not the cheapest, but definitely the most thorough. He was the only handyman that really measured the door, went up in the storage space and gave me a realistic estimate. I felt the others were likely to run into problems once the job started and it would end up costing a lot more. James is also the only one who actually researched the part needed (door w/pull down stairs) so was able to give me realistic costs and be sure it fit. He was extremely thorough. Did extras, like moving the light to a better position and dragging all the junk down without charging me more. Cleaned up great. Door looks wonderful and works well. I will definitely be using him again.

He has been awesome. His name is James Payne. I spent $100 the last time, but before that he did 2 pages of small odd jobs that was about $4000. He did anything from plastering to parking to putting in a new ceiling. He's great. He helped me get my house ready to sell. When I suggested some things that I thought I needed to do, he helped me save money by pointing out some things that I should do and how I could make things look good without spending a lot of money. He did not have expertise to do some plumbing so he brought in someone to help him and just included it in the price.

Very well. He was professional in all aspects (returned phone calls, show up on time, quality of work).

We use him on a regular basis; he has been reliable, efficient and has reasonable pricing. He is honest and does a good job. I will use him again in the future.

James arrived on time and started working on the screen and finished it promptly. I had a few minore repairs with my front door lock and blinds on a window which were not functioning properly. He was able to figure out quickly and get them done. Very pleasant/honest experience. Would recommed to anybody who needs repair done.

He came out right away and looked at the repair my husband had started. He said my husband was fixing it just fine and that my husband should just finish what he was doing. He said he could fix it at a fair cost, but that he'd just be doing the same thing my husband was already. He also went on to give me advice on how to make sure the job was watertight when it was done! I felt it was very honest of him and such great customer service to take his time to come out and look at the job and even give me free advice, all without getting any work out of it! I would definitely hire him! I called him because I've seen his van in two different neighbors' driveways, so I know others in my neighborhood use him as well. By NOT getting my business he made me a fan.

n the afternoon on the day I called. He was right on time. He showed me the sump pumps which were available and recommended the least expensive model. He also added a safety back up. He worked quickly and left no mess whatsoever. I don't recall the actual price; however, I do recall feeling it was very fair. I have called Mr. Payne since. When I explained what I needed, he told me he didn't feel that he could do a good job. He declined the work. I will call him anytime I have work to be done.

We rescheduled several times due to weather. He always called to follow up and reschedule, arrived on time, and the steps look great.

I was very pleased with their work, but they are a little pricey. It may only took them an hour to fix something and the price was just too high for how long it took them to actually do the work. I feel like they can improve if they estimated/billed per hour so I can actually see how much I am spending. The were punctual, very efficient, and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I asked them how I wanted it done and they did not argue the went ahead and did it the way I wanted it done. They listened to my input.
