Description of Work: He built a shelf in the garage to hold trash cans in a way that made efficient use of the space. It is well supported. The door to the garage need new weather stripping and a new lock, which he fixed. He also hung other items on the walls of the garage. The cost included materials he purchased on my behalf. I was pleased with the work.

Description of Work: Repaired damaged irrigation pipe leading from rain gutters or sump pump to back yard along the side of the house. In hindsight I wish he could have taken a picture of the repaired pipe to demonstrate it was fixed before he buried it. Need a strong rain to see if it works properly (time will tell).

Description of Work: James took a look at some rotting wood on the trim of our front porch. He was honest in saying that he did not want to take on the job is he was not sure that he could perform the work correctly. He advised getting a finish carpenter. I will call him again for other needed repairs. He seems honest in his assessment and recommendations.

 + -1 moreJames was very professional and friendly, and did a great job with all of our household repairs. He even noticed a problem with one of our downspouts that would have eventually caused cracking and dropping of our front steps, and he repaired it.
Description of Work: Caulked exterior and interior windows, caulked bathtub and shower, repaired tile, fixed door that wouldn't shut, and repaired shutter that was causing rust on house.

 + -1 moreI am very happy I came across James Payne. Without him I feel the doors would of never gotten back the way they should have been (the first six) and then completed the job. Excellent work and the company was prompt and courteous. Very professional.
Description of Work: Replaced 15 doors for white six panel doors. Actually had to repair 6 of the doors that a previous contractor had started on and botched up terribly. The other company had put gouge marks on the frames and door and even cracked some where the latches met the sides. Also repaired some of the frames. Additional work was done which consisted of odds and ends such as a dryer vent, wood molding on sides of stairs, put up handrail, and a few more miscellaneous jobs.
