The carpet is of high quality but the installation was problematic. The installation was delayed by several hours. They wanted to reschedule because their van broke down. The installers who finally arrived were nice enough but spoke limited English so communication was a challenge. They put tools on our new hardwood floors which caused scratches. The carpet was all installed and some seams are very visible in some locations including the middle and sides of the master bedroom. There is an object under the carpet on the stairs that left a bump and I expect it is a trimming from the carpet they accidentally covered. The carpet isn't properly attached to the stairs and was completely loose in some areas. They left a few black stains on the carpet. Customer service was poor. They made an appointment to send someone out and never showed up to two appointments. When the representative made the appointment, he had no knowledge of carpet installation and possible fixes. They finally sent out repair people who had no knowledge of what needed to be fixed despite the installer's representative's appointment to go over each issue. The two repair people brought scissors, a stapler, and lighter fluid. They wanted to cut the carpet on the seams to make it look better. They only had lighter fluid to clean the stains and said they were concerned that would ruin the carpet. They put a few staples in and left the stains and seams as they were. We told them to stop cutting once we saw their fix in progress. We called to share our dissatisfaction with Lowe's and the installer. The issue has never been resolved. It has been a very time-consuming process and neither the store nor the installer seems interested in making it right.

I AM A LANDLORD AND I BEG YOU NOT TO WORK WITH LOWES!!! I am a landlord and I operate a rental unit at Washington DC. On 6/23/2020 my tenant reported that the fridge in the unit is broken. On the same day, I ordered a fridge from Lowes. I was told at the time of the purchase that the fridge would be delivered on 6/29/2020. I was told that it should take 6 days. Ok, this would solve problems. I move forward with the order. The only reason I made this purchase through Lowe's is, they can deliver the fridge on 6/29/2020. Then within a short period of time, another email arrives and claims the fridge will arrive on 7/2/2020. My tenant is furious, screaming at me, rightfully complaining that all his food is rotting. He can't eat anything at home. Because of COVID-19, he can't eat outside. He is living in unacceptable conditions. Then surprise surprise, Lowes is at work. Another email arrives, the fridge is scheduled for delivery on 7/7/2020. A day before delivery I receive an email from Spirit, the extremely incompetent company, for final confirmation and I confirm the delivery. It is 7/7/2020. The supposed delivery day. Lowes is supposed to deliver the fridge. NOBODY AROUND! NO CALLS. NO ONE BOTHERS TO LET ME KNOW WHY THIS DELIVERY DID NOT GO THROUGH. MY TENANT CALLS AT THE END OF THE DAY AND SCREAMS AT ME, I AM DONE WITH YOU. I CANNOT BLAME HIM. HE IS THREATENING ME WITH A LAWSUIT NOW!!!! Naturally, I call Sprit, the delivery firm Lowes works. They first claim it was not in the truck on 7/7/202. Someone at Spirit assures me that it will be taken care of ASAP. Spirit tells me that they will send an email to Lowes. I call Lowes at Washington DC. The store in Washington DC does not even take any phones. The next day, all day no news. As if I never purchased a fridge. I paid for all services and after getting my money, Lowes decided to disappear. They decided to forget about it. They got the money, but they don't bother with delivering the fridge. So I need to fix Lowes' issues, since Lowes does not care. Here we go again. Lowes customer service calls. Nothing. They say call Spirit. So I call Spirit again. They now started to claim someone called with your number and canceled the order. The story changed. No one uses my phone except me. And I did not cancel any order. This is a total lie. I call Lowes again, I ask to talk with a supervisor. I am being told that I should file a claim in a written format. Then it should take 24 hours for the "Big Lowes' help...". This is not a good option when the tenant is in full-blown anger. I did everything right but apparently I am working with the wrong firm, that does not even care. I call Spirit. Now they know my number and they are willingly do not open it. Just to prove their unwillingness to take calls from my number, I get a new Google Voice number, and then I call Spirit again. When they see a different number they take the call. Now they are saying you canceled it. No one canceled any orders. I am asking for a person who knows what he/she is doing. No one cares. They say it's not possible. On 7/9/2020 I call Spirit, ask to talk with their manager. They say the manager is gonna call you. But no calls. Then I call Lowes. I want to file a complaint. The first phone number they gave me looks like this: 1 374 327 73782. Something is wrong, this is not a US phone number. I ask the customer service person to check the number and tell me a real number. I get 1 347 7382. And then I call that number to file a complaint, that number does not even work. LOWES HAS A VERY SAD AND BAD STYLE. In the duration of this terrible experience, I had to call both Lowe's and Spirit a total of 20-25 times. No one wants to help. NO ONE DESERVES THIS ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE THE LANDLORD AND OBLIGATED TO SOLVE YOUR TENANTS ISSUES ASAP. THIS WHOLE THING DESTROYED MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY TENANT. The fridge is still not delivered at the time I am writing this review.

The initial install went fine, the problem is within less then a years time we noticed air coming in from the molding by the windows. We had went to the store and were advised we have a 1 Year Service Guarantee we have contacted the store 6-7 times within the past 6-7 weeks and have constantly been told they created a work order and someone would be contacting us to come out inspect and fix them, the last three calls have been made by us to (our Project Coordinator) whom has also stated someone would be out to fix them and of course no service provider showed up on our scheduled date or even called us so two other calls have been placed to store management and our project coordinator with them not getting back to us as they stated they would. So very unhappy with our investment into our home and the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and or lack of any service by Lowes Staff in regards to our Product Guarantee! Beware of very poor service lack of communication and horrible responses and frustration by a Huge Corporation!

Unlike another home improvement store whom we considered Lowe's would actually cut and install the molding that I had finished off for them to finish off the job so that the laminate would look nice in this bedroom. They were actually able to cut and put that in. The other home improvement store would not do that unless they were the ones that were providing the material -- even though I was paying for the labor. The thing I did not like about it is that we had some difficulty with some sliding doors in a bedroom closet and we had to do some adjustments for a floor guide for the sliding doors. They got some adhesive on the laminate and it did not really come up very well. It is not all that noticeable, but I can go in and find it. They were working late at night, it was getting dark and I guess the they just did not see the adhesive that they had gotten on the laminate. Unfortunately it did not come up entirely. They came back and tried to make it right, but it just did not come up. The interactions were satisfactory. Overall I was satisfied with it, I mean, you know, the product is acceptable. I had to do a lot of preparation. They did not mess up the molding and did not really mis-cut any pieces or anything like that. They did a good job on that. It was part of what I wanted them to do. I really don't have anything much to compare the pricing because we were limited because we wanted that flooring to match what we had done earlier in several other rooms so it had to be the same kind of flooring. I did not shop around because this is where we bought the original flooring and we were able to get a pretty good match for it for the price we wanted so I guess it was competitive. Overall the project turned out okay. It wasn't perfect and I would not say it was excellent. From what I understand and what I have seen before on jobs we've had laminate flooring is not difficult to do. It is just laying it out into a rectangle. There is a few little issues and the issues that came up they did okay with, but I had to go back and do some very creative things to get the sliding door problem solved.
Description of Work: I think we went through Lowes, whoever their subcontractor was, to put down laminate flooring.

We received a call today stating that they would not deliver the range when promised and that it might be available at some future date in August. Our current range is no longer functioning and as a result we are without the use of a range. The than informing us that they would not be delivering the range as promised Lowes offered no other resolution of the issue. They stated that they had very little leverage with LG and that they were sorry.
Description of Work: We order a new LG electric range on May 30th and were told it would take until July 27 to deliver. We were charged for the full [price when we ordered it.

It was good. The only issue we had was the line of the tiles did not match up but it was minor. The other thing was that it required the removal of the toilet. There was a problem with the reconnection of the piping. They were very responsive. Their price was good compared to others.

Installation went well. Installers were very professional. My big issue is 2 spots in the family room that have no threads any longer. Installation was in early 2011 and we started seeing loose threads around the house in late 2011. By the time we found the affected areas and the papers from Lowe's, it was too late to claim an installation issue (12 months limit). Lowe's sent a rep from their store to take pictures and we also had the carpet manufacture's rep visit us. The manufactures rep mentioned that it looked like the edge of the carpet was not melted well enough and threads were coming off. After the 2 visits mentioned above we didn't hear from the store for a year (we had a baby and didn't follow up as we should). In early August '13 I stopped again by the store and talked to a new Sales rep (Sarah). She apologized for the lack of response and said she will investigate. They sent the installer to take a look at it. After I sent more pictures and the installer's visit their conclusion was that the Warranty was voided because we didn't clean it professionally every 6 months . Huh??? They could fix it if I had extra carpet around my house. So my response to that claim was - you're telling me that if I have brake issues with my Corolla, the response from Toyota might be, did you watch the car as we recommend? This is very upsetting, I have carpet in other rooms that is older than the new one and I don't have this issue. Lowe's advertises carpets that last 20,25,30 years but are not responsible when there is clearly an issue with the carpet or the way it was installed. Because of this incident, I WILL NEVER VISIT OR BUY A SINGLE ITEM AT LOWE'S!!!

Everything was done well. The only glitch was that the installer called a telephone number we had before we moved 8 years ago when they set up a time for delivery/installation (I found out that they called from my son who now lives in our old house and has the old phone number). For some reason Loew's did not update their computer with our new phone number even though I gave them the correct information.

Overall I am happy. When I first went into the store(about a week before Christmas)they had an advertisement that it could be installed before Christmas. Good thing I didn't need that, because there was no way it would have happened. But I told them I needed it before New Years Eve and they were able to accommodate that. The price in store was a little misleading. The sign for installation said $199 whole house installation of carpet and pad. Well installation of pad, but the pad itself costs extra. Almost as much as the carpet! And there were "extras" for taking up the glued down carpet and drilling tack strips into the concrete floor and a per step charge. These were reasonable charges but it just added up quickly. Communication was good once they were ready to install, and Lowe's does a good job of following up to make sure you are happy with everything. The installer brought three helpers with him to complete the job and they finished in about 5 hours. They originally thought it might take 1.5 days. There were a couple of small problems that I notified Lowe's about when they proactively called to make sure I was satisfied. Within a few days, the installer came back out and fixed them.
Description of Work: Took up glued down carpet in basement and installed tack strips, pad, and new carpet of approximately 800 sq ft.

The project was not done because they never came out to measure so we could get an estimate.
Description of Work: We paid them in advance to have someone come out and measure our bathrooms for counter installation. The contract said they would call within 2 business days. No one called. I called Lowe's on the third day and they said the fax had gotten lost and they would call right back. Two days later I still have not heard from anyone.

Called in AM to give me 2 hour window in afternoon. Arrived at the beginning of the time slot. Took care to avoid damaging doors and woodwork. Leveled stove, checked to make sure it was working properly and reviewed features with me. Polite and paid attention to the job.
