LAUX PLUMBING LLC

We bought our house last year and now the copper plumbing is corroding and has become a real problem for us. A lot of it is green - tarnished and needs replaced - it's leaking water into the crawl space. Jerry and Andrew Laux arrived on time after calling ahead. They proceeded to replace the pipe in question as quoted & planned. While checking the pipe for leaks, they discovered another leak and troubleshooted the cause. It was another corroded section of pipe behind the bathroom wall. After showing us the problem, we were given a few options. We gave them the go ahead and have it replaced. They minimized the hole needed to be cut and replaced the section quickly. Then proceeded to inspect the toilet in the same bathroom as planned. They reset the toilet and they were done. They were prompt, courteous and professional. They discussed options and what they would do if it were their house. I followed their advise and respect that they did not try to take advantage of us by replacing everything when it wasn't really needed. We plan to utilize their service in the future and would like to utilize them for all of our plumbing needs. Their honesty and skills have earned our trust in them.

On the Sunday afternoon Andrew Laux, the son of the owner, came within 1and 1/2 hours of my call. He capped the pipe very quickly, and made the appointment for Tuesday, and told me how much the new shut off would cost. Andrew and his Father, Jerry, the owner, came at the appointed time on Tuesday, and within 25 minutes completed the job. No fuss, no muss, no bother. Considering the fact that they came out on a Sunday afternoon, and capped the pipe, which enabled us to have water until they could come back, I think the price was very reasonable. Laux Plumbing is now on my speed-dial.

We're very happy with him. Our experience was fine. He came in and fixed everything. He didn't leave a mess behind. He was very polite. It was him and his son and they got the work done fairly quickly. We haven't had any problems with the things that they worked on. I called them on a Monday and they were out on Wednesday, and it was just small non-emergency jobs. I was very happy about that.

I really like him. Last summer he did my soil pipe, the main four inch plumbing that was cast iron had come down through the house, a part of that had a crack in it and he replaced that with scheduled PVC. When he put the plumbing stack it cost me $900. Quite frankly I had one estimate that was fifty percent higher. He's a great plumber, he really is. He is thorough, competent and punctual. He contacts me ahead of time if he is about to get to my house. He's done work for my son and my daughter.

Contractor was here within an hour of calling him...on a Saturday. Did a good job and even gave some additional pointers for potentially longer pump life. Jerry also replaced our water heater...on Christmas Eve, when I called him on 12/22 saying the tank was leaking. Not only was he responsive, but was a decent price compared to some of the other quotes.

They did an excellent job. There were a few extra part that did not come with the toilets and they ran out to Home Depot and picked them up (and paid for them) at no extra charge! Definitely will use them again!

Jerry gave us a great service. He was able to identify the water leak within a half hour. I would recommend them to anyone who needs an honest and efficient plumber. He is very responsive and professional. If we have another plumbing issue we will be calling Jerry Laux to the rescue.

I have used Jerry and son Andrew in the past for several projects since I purchased this house. They have done an excellent job each time. This time, I needed an appointment this week and even though it was not an emergency they came the next day. They explained and advised on several issues, spent a long time fixing a stubborn poorly designed kitchen faucet that kept swinging back and forth, and they repaired a toilet that was uneven on the floor. Professional, thorough, friendly and clean. Couldn't ask for anything more except maybe cheaper prices but I know that you get what you pay for and I am very happy with their service and quality of their work.

For plumbing we used Laux. They came when they said they would. I like their work. They gave me some advice. They were fine. I like them.

The installation can be described in two words: Expertly Done. This was my first use of Angie's List to find a craftsman and it was an outstanding experience. I called Jerry as well as several other businesses who installed backup sump pumps. With all but Jerry, I had to leave my phone number which is always a problem because the return call is often not convenient for me AND because of the area code for my phone number. Cincinnati's area code is 513 and my only phone is area code 512; therefore, my calls occasionally go astray - no matter how much I emphasize the area code. Jerry had no problem with this because he answered all my calls - didn't have to leave a message. On the day of service he called to let me know he was on the way and he correctly called area code 512... When we discussed the system he installs he provided a lot of information about the pump including the manufacturer, Zoeller, the battery type, and other facts that helped me make an informed decision based not only on cost but also on merit. I learned why Jerry answered my calls when he installed my system. His son accompanies him on the job so while Jerry was on the phone the work went on because his son continued with the installation. They were completely compatible and respectful to one another as well as to me. Upon completion of the installation, they - together - explained the system, how to use the alarm system, care of the battery and the warranty. The left their phone number in a prominent location in case any questions arise in the future...and, of course, as a contact number for any future plumbing needs. Very professional and I was left with a sense of satisfaction with the neatness of the job and a sense of safety for my home.

Laux was responsive to my initial call and setting up the appointment to do the work. They were on time the day of the install, very courteous & informative, and the install took almost exactly the amount of time they said it would. Our only complaint was that there is a small dent in the new expansion tank. Though Jerry confirmed it will have absolutely no negative effect on how everything works, we are picky designers and don't like that, aesthetically, it looks imperfect. It's been working great and there have been no tiny leaks at all since they came out to tighten things up a touch. I would definitely use Laux Plumbing again.

Great. Very professional. We were without hot water for two days and he rearranged his schedule to get us back on track. He also provided various cost estimates for different, cheaper options. He even recommended a more cost effective alternative. I plan on using him to replace a sump pump soon.

They were very nice. They did a really good job about educating me on some of the other issues that we might have had as well. They were on time and very reasonable.

Jerry and son very nice men and efficient. They even searched internet for proper sized tub drain to be instaledl tomorrow.

They have excellent and professional service and they were able to install the back-up sump pump within a couple hours.

Andrew called me in advance before he came to my house. He was very professional and skillful with demonstrated quality work. He answered all my questions with detailed explaination. He worked meticuously and maintained a clean work place. This was my 3rd attempt to use a plumbing service after previous two bad experience. This time it was a delightful experience. Great job!

I initially contacted them after finding the company Angie’s List and there were no troubles with scheduling. Their costs are very reasonable and half the cost of a plumber I had previously hired. Overall, I am very pleased with their service.

They came out and took the time to find the source of a leak in our shower. Once he found it, he told me that it was a simple fix with caulk, and that he really didn't need to do anything. It would be a $5 fix. He spent an hour looking for the site of the leak, then didn't take any money for his time. I will definitely use them again. Great service, and very professional.

Jerry and his son Andrew, showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. They presented us with a time and cost estimate to complete the repair with no pressure or "scare tactics" (if you don't repair this today....). We thought the estimate sounded fair and the repair was completed without incident. They also provide a warranty on their work and sounded as if anything went wrong, just let them know. While completing this repair, they noticed the flow of our supply lines were low and took some steps to help increase it (no additional charge).

I got a call from the tenant in a rental property that the water heater was leaking. After calling a plumber I had previously used who couldn't come to do the work when I needed it, I called Laux plumbing. They were able to come out within 24 hours to check the problem and replaced the water heater within another 24 hours They were extremely courteous and professional and considerate of my needs for prompt service. Great job! I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

Called the day before to confirm the appointment. Arrived on schedule. Willing to install my choice faucets. Replaced two faucets two other plumbers did not have the tools to resolve. Excellent job!

He was professional as always, I have used Laux Plumbing a few times and have sent other people to them. It's nice to deal with a family owned business and to receive the awesome service they provide. I hope to not see them for a while, no disrespect! LOL

I called on a Saturday when we were made aware of water leaking. They said they would be there in 1 1/2 hours. They came within the time frame. Fixed the leak under our house. Had to get parts to repair a leak in pipes. We could not be happier with service. We have used Laux plumbing for same problem in past 2 years ago.

The plumber did a great job. He was quick and cleaned up his mess afterwards. I would definitely contact him again for help.

It was fine. They were professional. They got to work right away. They cleaned up after themselves. They were on time. Two people came out.
