Description of Work: We have had Laux out to the house twice. Very pleased on both occasions. The first was to have a sump pump replaced, and the second was an emergency repair to a punctured water line. They also corrected some check valve issues when replacing the sump pump.

They came over that afternoon to inspect and we determined a new water heater was needed. They returned the next day around noon, removed the old water heater and installed a new one. Could not expect faster service.

+ 0 moreWe're very pleased with the work the Laux men did. They were diligent and polite. For all the work involved, we felt the price was reasonable. We were able to go forth with our Christmas plans.
Description of Work: We called Laux Plumbing with slow drains and they came the next day. Mr. Laux and his son found that the slow kitchen/laundry tub drains were clogged at the connection to the sewer line. These connections were under the basement floor which made it extra difficult. It was necessary that they locate the underground sewer exit from the house to the main sewer line. Having no water with a few days left before Christmas made this an important repair for us. They worked an extra-long day on the first day and made good progress but need another day to finish the job. Since they already had a job lined up for the following day, they came the next day, Saturday. Again, lots of work due to the excavation, etc. After about 5 more hours, they finished the job and cleaned the area. All we had to do was wait for the cement to dry. Fortunately, by Sat. eve we had running water in the laundry and the kitchen. During this complicated drain problem, they demonstrated that they're very knowledgable, experienced plumbers. And, they're careful as they track through the house for their equipment.

When I explained the urgency, he was very accommodating to squeeze us in to repair pipes and change the shower head to a hand held to help my husband shower more comfortably as he recovered from surgery.

Owner wasn't sure if one part, that needed to be replaced, was in his estimate but replaced it anyway at no extra cost. Old and new units had to go through our house and they left no dirt. Work space was clean also when they finished.

+ -1 moreReplacing the shower cartridge went smoothly. Intent was to replace the facet cartridge but he could not get handle screw out so had to replace entire facet. He ran out and purchased a new facet and would of had it replaced in no time but my house is plumbed with PVC and he ended up breaking one of the lines. he repaired it quickly and was done in short time.

They arrived on time, they were professional and they got right to work. It was one of the coldest day of the year and they seemed dedicated, because they left my home around 5:30pm and still had other jobs to do.

+ -1 moreJerry and his son did a fantastic job installing a whole house filter system (Aquios full house softener and filter system, model# AQFS220) on the main, 3/4" water line to the house. He also had to replace the main shut-off valve. Due to the position of the hot water heater to the main water line, he had to locate the filter about 3 feet to the right of the heater. This made the filter very accessible for changing out cartridges in the future. All totaled he installed about 6 linear feet of copper, 3 ball valves and the filter, while having to turn off the water at the street. Total time took about 2 hours. The work area was left clean and tidy. In short, a quality professional job for a good price. Would definitely hire again.

According to my insurance company, and the water damage mitigation companies, plumbers were in short demand due to all of the claims. However, after contacting Laux, they made themselves available within two hours and had our home's water back on shortly after.

+ -1 moreFine. I was appreciative that they could come out same day as call. Another plumber was booked out 5 days. Extremely punctual. Arrived almost to the minute of the estimated time, and called ahead to let know on the way. They remedied the problem, and put a temporary fix in place so we could use water. And will come back in spring to complete the rerouting of pipe that was not originally laid out very well by builder (a no rush project).
Description of Work: Evaluate burst pipe situation. Closed off exterior water so we could use water again in house. Will have work done in spring to have pipes rerouted.
