The experience was great. Allen, the owner,scheduled an appt to talk about our ideas and look at the bathroom. Our original idea was simply to expand and update the shower. Allen pointed out we needed to be careful about too much updatingin the shower looking awkward with the rest of the dated bathroom. Allen made some suggestions and submitted a proposal. It was a little higher than we wanted to spend, so Allen spent time with us working on a plan to meet our budget. The overall change is fabulous! It looks like a completely different room. Allen sent us to a tile shop where we worked with a tile expert, showing us options within our price range. I brought the tile samples home and Allen helped me decide which to use. He suggested 18" tiles on the floor and 12" tiles around the tub. Looks great! The woodworking was all custom. We asked for a 'cabinet look' around the tub. Allen built this himself along with the bookcases and cabinet on the counter, both of which he suggested. We now have separate mirrors, another suggestion from Allen. Another simple update with a lot of impact. Allen kept me informed through the whole process. When he would be at the house, when he had to make stops to by material, when he would have certain phases of the project completed. My house was a bit of mess through the whole process due to the dust, but that's to be expected, He laid down drop cloths and covered all the furniture in our master bedroom.
