Air Authority Heating & Air Conditioning

The product was excellent. The service was great. Any problems were addressed. The installation was the key to make the job.

Among others, I called Air Authority and their technician called me back within an hour. He came over at about noon and quickly fixed the problem. His name is Scott, he was really professional and polite. Did the job right. I appreciate Air Authority's responsiveness and commitment to reliable service.

They called to see if they could install a day early because they had a cancellation. Since we were without ac due to our old unit breaking, we were happy to go early. They arrived right when they said, and were very clean and courteous. They spent time training my wife and I on using the new programmable thermostat and made sure everything was running smoothly. Due to the excellent qualification work done by Dan Knollman our sales rep, my 2nd floor is the same temperature as my 1st floor for the first time in 4 years of living here. Their price, while not the absolute lowest bid I got, was completely fair given the work done and quality of the equipment used.

Great Experience. We contacted several companies reference a bad AC leak. We spoke with Dan Knollman at Air Authority and he came out right away. After sitting down with us and explaining in detail all our options, we inquired about replacing our original (1963) furnace as well as the AC. He took the time to answer all our questions and at no time did we feel rushed since it was an evening appointment, he gave us a background on the company and his experience and knowledge with the business. He was very understanding when we asked if we could get back with him later, and he didn't give us the high pressure sale attempt. The estimates were all close in price but not all installs included new ac service lines and updated ductwork, so along with that and the quick response by Dan we went with Air Authority. I contacted Dan on Friday for the install. He had the installers scheduled for 2 days so the job was done right. Monday they were there by 845 and went right to work. Both gentleman were very polite and respectful to my family. They protected the floor/work area and wore foot covers. They worked non-stop but didn't rush the job. The 2nd day they were there early. The majority of the time they had access to my residence without anyone there. Once they finished, they took the time to explain everything to me and the operation of the system as well as the thermostat. Dan stopped in the to check on the progress and to see if we had any additional questions or concerns. With the Duke Energy rebates for the products we paid $7600.00.

They were recommended to me. They did a great job. I was very satisfied with them.

We had both our central air conditioners break down within a week of each other just before a heat wave hit the area. Air Authority came out to the house within one day to give us a quote. They were able to install the two new air conditioners within two days. They brought two crews out to install the units and were completed in about 4 hours. They were very professional and the entire experince was great.

They were at my house within 30 minutes of my call. Had the new system in before dinner! Very professional, courteous, prompt.

My overall experience with them has been good.

I had hired them for furnace repair two weeks ago and they charged $150. They were prompt and helped me out of a bad situation as the original equipment had failed and they were able to rectify.

Motor conked out at 1 am; Glenn arrived about 10 am the next day and went right to work. He made sure that we had exactly the motor and parts for installation. While he carried on with his work, he was congenial and cordial when asked questions about the repair. He cleaned up the area when the work was completed very well. When we called to schedule the installation of the humidifier, we requested the services of Glenn and he arrived the next dayfor "phase 2". Again, he worked very meticulously to install the humidifier and cleaned up well but also told us there may still be a bit of residue on the floor which was very little. We were very pleased with the courtesy and professionalism displayed by all the folks we had contact with at this company. Their services were prompt, professional and thorough. Coupons can be found on their webite and will save some money.

We were told by the company that originally installed the unit that the system needed to be replaced. We contacted two other companies ( Air Authority being one) to check the system and give us a recommendation. Both indicated that it was probably a good idea to replace the system. We chose Air Authority primarily because of its high rating on Angie's List. Two installers arrived at the time promised and began the work of installing a new Trane AC system. They were pleasant to deal with and approached their task in a professional manner. They were finished by early afternoon which surprised us a little because they had to make a number of duct changes along with installing and connecting the outside unit. It was a pleasure doing business with this company and we will undoubtedly use them again when the need arises. We called them again in the fall to service our furnace and entered into a service contract with them at that time.

Our furnace was not working and we were approaching cold weather. It was an 18 yr old furnace and we were not sure whether or not to replace or fix it. They came out attempted to fix but our furnace needed a special part. They said they could get us a quote by Monday to order & replace the part. To fix the old furnace was $600 and they told us this may or may not completely solve the problem. So we opted to replace the furnace. They were prompt & did exactly what they said they would. We went with another company to purchase a furnace because of personnal relationships.

They are very professional, timely and have a fair price.

Signed a contract to do furnace maintenance now, a/c in the spring. Scott was great -- professional and efficient. We will continue to use Air Authority.

They installed the highest efficient gas furnance available at the time and the latest high-tech humidifier (steam). I also had the highest "seer" rating heat-pump installed. This hybrid system works very effieciently together and has lowered my energy costs while improving our comfort levels. Air Authority did a first class job with the installation. Do to the age of the older equipment, several modifications were required and completed flawlessly. They set up the systems to perform properly and verified the install with factory technitions. We are very happy with the Trane systems and Air Authority. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Our 20 year old furnace was found to have a crack in the heating elements and needed to be replaced. We contacted 3 other companies and Air Authority was very well priced and carried the Trane line, which was rated highly by other sites as being very reliable. We had special circumstances with our needs and the salesman was very understanding and did not try to push us into a more expensive model. The installation went very well. The workers were curteous and prompt. We would definitely use this company in the future.

I like their promptness, their professional installation and attitude. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

They were very efficient and fast to come over. You give them a call and they are there the same day sometimes. It was a good service.

I really thought they did a very nice job all the way around. I hemmed and hawed about which system was right for us, and made the sales guy work overtime with all the different proposals. Plus, since our ac system went out due to a lightning strike, we had to do more paperwork for the insurance company. Air Authority does a premium job on installation, cleaning up, and making sure it's done right. I had no problems with their work in any aspect. I had a better offer from Carrier on rebates at the time, including a quote on a 17 SEER ac system that was cheaper than Trane's 15.5, so to choose Air Authority over the "deal" was trusting Air Authority to give me high quality installation and systems. So far, I am happy with my systems. The furnace is quieter, it radiates actual heat, not blows mildly warm air as hard as it can. Now that I think about it, the old furnace reminds me of a heat pump. Getting a good quality system not only saves money in the long run on energy costs, but the overall comfort level is so much better!

Requested estimate because competitor seemed high. I was given several options and very thorough explanations of each, along with planning for the future replacement of my blower/furnace. Very impressed with data provided, did not feel pressured, and felt confident that the company took pride in what it did - rare these days. Product functions properly and I will call on this com pay again when my furnace needs to be replaced in a few years.

The replacement installation was very neat and clean. Better than the original units that were replaced. They cleaned up all the construction debris and were very carefull to not track anything into the home. The installers explained fully how the new units operated and gave me a tutorial and tips on how to best operate the system.
