carpet installation

About a month after carpet installation, problems developed. A seam is showing and carpet along edges does not look every good. This is Home Depots highest quality carpet. I stopped at the store to let them know of the problems. They told me they would contact their subcontractor-Coverall. The problems began. It took 5 visits to the store,7 phone calls, a call to company headquarters, over 9 hours of my time over several weeks for Home Depot to arrange a inspector to come out. During this time Home Depot kept repeating themselves that its the subcontractors responsibility to honor the warranty, not them. My paperwork shows its Home Depots responsibility. The inspector acknowledges the seam problem but wont commit to a time to fix it. For the carpet edge problems, they told me that's the way it is. They acknowledge others have complained about the same issue. We wanted the carpet ready for the holidays, instead we got a mess. Because of not fixing the problem promptly. I give them a F.
Description of Work: Recently Home Depot installed carpet. Then problems developed after the installation. I now have found Home Depot does not stand behind it product or service when the warranty process begins.
