I was asked to provide the site map for my property, which I did within 48 hours. In the month since then I have called at least four times asking for the sales associate to call me back with the price estimate. To date, I have yet to receive a return call with the estimate. It is obvious this company did not want or need my business. I will be pursuing options elsewhere. Update 9/5/15: I was NEVER told they we're not interested in taking on my project. To the contrary, I was asked to provide the site map for my property so it could be quoted and was also told they were waiting on the manufacturer to provide pricing, I take deep offense to being called a liar.

They showed up as scheduled and did the job professionally. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of their work.

The work was done over the span of 8 days (Saturday - Saturday). On the first Saturday they cut down the old fencing and set the new posts in cement. One the following Saturday they came out and built out the remainder of the new fencing. The new fencing looks great and the craftsmanship is good. The crew of two acted very professionally as well. The new gate isn't ideal, as it has pretty large gaps on the sides, but it functions well and since it's built on a metal frame will last a long time. unfortunately the hinge and latch hardware causes there to been larger than desired gaps on the sides of the gate. Overall I'm happy with the project.

North East Ohio Fencing and Deck came out and gave me a quote right away. They scheduled the job and installed the fencing in a timely manner. The fencing looks great and is very sturdy. I was not home when they were installing the gates. When I saw that they were installed differently than I expected, they came out and changed it at no charge. The fence is beautiful and I get many compliments on it. I recommend them highly.

l am Very VERY happy with my fence install. Absolutely the best service and skills I have seen. These are the people who you want to put in your fence! From the beginning Heather and Hank on the customer service end, setting everything up, excellent communication to the men who came out and set the posts and completed the install were all very kinda, professional and very skilled. I should have gotten more quotes. I was in a hurry to get a new section of 5' fence to replace my neighbor's 3' fence - because my new rescue dog was jumping over the smaller fence! I feel the price was high (and so did my landscaper), although since I didn't get any other quotes I'll never know. The fence looks nice and is strong. The installers were nice and left the old fence for my neighbor to scrap, when asked. The salesperson was also polite and easy to contact. But that's about it. He didn't give me any options as to materials or mention that there would be no bottom wire on the fence. When I asked about it later I was told that it was not a part of standard installation and could be added at an extra charge. With the fence I'd previously had installed, it was a default part of the installation. The bottom wire wouldn't be too much of a concern except it's quite useful when you are fencing dogs in a yard - it keeps them from being able to dig out more easily. And they knew about my dogs. Also I feel like the installers were more focused on getting the top line straight than having the bottom of the fence close to the ground. Since the new fence was inside the line of the old fence, they were putting the new fence "on top of" some flower beds. They could have dug down a bit (through mulch - not hard ground) to get the fence flush to the ground. Instead they just sort of lined it up with the highest mulch and strung the fence without regard to the bare ground. I complained and they moved it a little bit lower but still it's not as close to the ground as I'd have liked it to be. They also dug holes for the posts (of course) and just dumped the dirt right there in my flower beds. They could have taken it away, or asked where they could dump it, or at least checked to make sure they weren't dumping it over flowers. Now I've got flowers growing up through odd clumps of dirt on top of mulch. Also they had to remove some boards from along the fence, behind the flower beds, to put in the new fence. They stacked the boards up for me and left them in the lawn but for the kind of money I had to spend they could have put the dang boards back in the beds. It would have covered up their huge stupid gap! Anyway, all my fault for not getting more quotes, and not getting more involved I guess. But I am underwhelmed by this company and merely not-completely-dissatisfied with my fence.

Very prompt. Great explanation of what I was going to get. Helped plan and design the deck. workers cleaned up EVERYTHING! AMAZING company and service.

This was to be a basic fencing job to complete fencing of back yard for my two small rescue dogs after moving into the house in November 2013. The first problem was the salesman miscalculated the amount of fence needed by 21 feet. After getting their estimate which was the best I found out it was due to the fact that he had missed 21 feet of fencing. The crew showed up and didnt have enough fence and called me. We called owner and after a few discussions figured out the problem. I then was charged for the additional fence at cost and had to pay an additional or so which was upsetting since I was on a strict budget with home repairs and move. At this point I agreed to only work with the owner Jim who was apologetic but I still had to pay for the additional fencing cost. Once the fence was in the gate was not placed correctly and the fence was not set low enough so my dogs were appearing on my neighbors porch and luckily retrieved. Unfortunately I have had to have them out 5 times since then. That was as of October 2014. The fence was placed in November 2013 and they were just back a few months ago due to fence coming apart. My dogs were able to go under fence in different areas. They have been good about coming back but it has been quite upsetting to have to continually call to have adjustments made or gates repaired due to the workmanship. Also the fence was not cemented in the ground as much I thought it would for longevity and I now have to have them back because the paint is peeling. The fence also is still too high and I have called again just recently. March 2015, the fence has to be regalvanized and painted. They fixed the fence gate which came off due to weather but it needs adjustment, They have been to my house 6 times to correct issues and now Im waiting for them to come out to handle issues. the fence was very pricey for the quality that was received and the ongoing issues.

Bob was on time and professional. It was muddy and drizzling but he had not problems measuring my yard and making suggestions. I am now just waiting for an estimate so I can make a decision.

They did a really nice job. Had to put two posts really close to house and neighbor's garage. Gate works great and looks really good from street and up close. Feels very sturdy. Have had the gate for more than a year now and I am very pleased with how it has held up through two pretty hard winters.

It went very well. The whole experience was positive.

Quote process went well, but once installation started experienced a few problems. One gate was completely mis-installed as it was not the right size for the space. Installer deviated from the quoted drawing in another area, extending the fence too long. After the fact there were quite a few missed nails on boards as well. When these problems were brought up, NEO Fence was quick to send someone out and fix them. For this reason I am giving them a B. An A company would have done it right the first time, but they did make good on their workmanship. I would recommend them, but be advised you have to pay attention to the details for them depending on the crew they send out.

NE Ohio Fence and Deck sent a representative to my house for an estimate. Hank was professional, efficient, and explained everything to us in detail, and answered all our questions. He then went to measure the area. A week later, after having a few estimates from a few companies, I had a question regarding the initial plan of the fence. I spoke to hank, and he came out to my house again to remeasure and redraw the fence schematic. I was given a date for installation and it was actually moved up a few days. The workers came out, mapped out the area where the the fence was going to go, trimmed some trees and even carted away the limbs. They installed all the posts in about a day, and returned the next day to put up all the fence panels. The returned a few days later to put up the gates. Overall, I was extremely happy with their work. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for fencing. I will say, that I got 4 estimates for the job. Their pricing fell right in the middle.

My problem is that fence has too many 1/2" gaps which makes it not very private. Goes beyond shrinking issue. Some pickets are acceptable. About 30 pickets need to be moved closer together. May have started with a board being put in crooked. Neo is not going to do anything to fix this. Their idea of a fix is really not acceptable or aesthetically pleasing. They just do not want to move any pickets. Be aware that using very green wood you have shrinkage but not like I have. My neighbor has same fence and does not have this problem. Also have one picket that has split on bottom and nail popped. Posts and gate are good. though.

The builder arrives on time and with the proper materials, and within 5 hours, he had extended our privacy fence 18 feet. He even worked in the sprinkling rain, and it looked great! We've enjoyed the extended fence all summer and it's held up well to the rain and weather and is still in great condition. We look forward to having the fence stained next year and enjoying it for years to come. We would highly recommend Northeast Ohio Fence and Deck to anyone who wants a professional company with friendly employees who do quality work. We will definitely call them in the future for any further needs.

Great. Fence looks beautiful.

That’s a sad story in some way. First of all, the construction of the fence was poorly done. They put up bent, damaged, naildo-infested boards. They were poorly attached, bent nails. They put in iron nails, which bleed into the wood. It was unacceptable that they did such shoddy work in installation. So I called and talked to Heather, who is their receptionist. She is very professional, very nice, and with difficulties and several calls, I got someone to come out and look at it and they did come and replaced a lot of the damaged boards and the ones that were pure black and they did get the fence into acceptable condition. Every person that I talked to was courteous to me, especially Heather, but the installation was poor.

The first contact was 5/27/2014 set up appointment to look at work that needed done. Salesman came on 6/6/2014. Measured area to be done. 7/10/2014 workers came to remove and replace the old steps. One worker arrived at 10:30 AM and the supervisor arrived at 2:00PM. They completed the job and were gone at 3:00PM. The power washing the decking occurred on July 24, 2014 started at 1:30pm and completed at 3:00pm. Due to weather delays and other work related issues the staining/sealing was completed August 8, 2014. Start time approx. 9:00 AM completed at 11:30PM. The total time to do all the work 7!/2 hours and it took from 2 months to get done.

All went very well and I am pleased with the fence. Everyone from the salesperson, to the office personnel, owner, and installers, were helpful and very pleasant. It was evident they wanted to please the customer. I needed a minor repair a few weeks later and they came out in timely manner and fixed the problem. Very impressed!

First of all the fence is a hazard, it is not secure. On the fence on the right side of the garage is loose - if a child were to run up against it, would it stay? The other side of the fence is up to high, a pet could go right under it. I wasn't there when it was installed, I don't know if they reinforced it, or put any wood in the posts to make sure that it was secure. The fence on the right side of the garage is supposed to be an L shape, but it isn't. They didn't close that off at all, and went back too far. They didn't clean up any of the dirt they pulled up, they just left it on the grass. There was no communication, they didn't do the job in a timely manner, and when they did come out it appears to have been a rushed job. When I got to the house and saw the work that was done I immediately called Dan, an employee, who said that he went out to the house, looked at the fence, understands my concerns and would have someone out Monday - today. I called Dan again today because I hadn't heard anything back, he told me that he wouldn't be able to get anyone out today because he needs to put in a work order, and that he would call me back in a few hours. He hasn't called me back. I would never recommend them to anyone!

I called the company to let them know I would like to proceed with the work. Unfortunately, no one answered so I had to leave a voice mail message. It took them two days to respond to my message. Bob finally called me back, and sent me a copy of the estimate and asked me to sign and date it and return it with a $400 deposit on the work and he would get me on the schedule. I did so but stipulated that I had to get approval from my homeowners association before the work could proceed. Today, I received the following email from Bob: ______________________________________________________________________ Kristine, After I submitted your contract to my boss I estimated the contract in error. Because there is under 75' of fence to install I was supposed to add a minimum charge of $250. I did not add this to your total as pointed out by my boss. Your new total is $1445. Please let me know as soon as you can if you want us to do the install. Thank you. I politely told them to cancel the install.

The situation was a nightmare from start to finish. The night before my appointment I called to confirm. Rick returned my call and said I wasn't on his schedule. He managed to maneuver his appointments to fit me in, thankfully. I considered it a fluke and understand that mistakes happen, but it wasn't the last. Rick promised to have a quote to us in a few days. A week passed and we had to call him to follow-up. He gave a verbal quote over the phone - that was it. As we collected other quotes, we still did not get the formal, itemized quote. So a couple of week later we not only left a voicemail at the office, but emailed him as well. No response to either. Called the office a week later and spoke with Heather who said she would 'message' him right away. No response to that, either. The lack of response is unforgivable and I would not use this company nor recommend to anyone I know. Like another Angie's List member, we were wanting to hire NEO Fence & Deck, but their unresponsiveness was an enormous red flag.

It went fine. They had a good price and were available. They were very professional.

Fence was installed in August of 2013. Shortly thereafter, I started getting water leaking through my basement walls in the corner where the gate post was installed. The water influx lessened but did not cease when I pulled my downspout out of the tile drainaage system. They broke my tile drainage system when they installed the gate post. I called and talked to Jim today. I procrastinated a bit on this as I knew it would be a confronttation and Jim didn't disappointment there. He was belligerant, accused me of making the whole thing up and denied that they had anything to do with my drainage problems. There was never any water in that corner of the basement before they installed the fence. He says now there is "allegedly" a problem and how do I know they caused it? "It could have broken on its own." Again, I had NO water in that corner before the fence install!!!!! Jim says I'm to pay for waterproffing myself and he will reinstall the gate for free. He broke it, he should fix it!! Stay away from these people! If you have problems, they are unwilling to mitigate any damage they cause.

We talked with Dan, the rep, about what we wanted. He measured and wrote up an illustration of exactly what was to be done, and gave us a very reasonable price. We were having a carport built at the same time, so there were some conflicts with the installation time that were unavoidable on our part, and that NEO Fence took in their stride. When we finally were able to give them the go-ahead to install the fence, it was completed within a three-day period. We are totally satisfied with the professionalism and work done by the installers, and we love our fence! We would recommend NEO Fence in the future with no hesitation.
