Description of Work: We entered into an agreement with Ken Mills to install a new roof, two skylights and gutters on my home on November 21st. (He had given me an estimate on November 8th.) We signed the agreement with a tentative start date of Nov. 26th, and paid him a $3000 down payment. He told us he "needed the work" and assured us that it would be done at the first possible time that the weather permits. He also promised to give us additional quotations for some inside work (dry wall etc.) that had resulted from leakage. Several opportunities have passed (good weather) since then. December 12th thru 14th were excellent weather forecasts and we assumed he would be there to get started. On the 12th, my wife and I called him 4 times to find out where he was. He didn't answer his phone and didn't call back until late that night. He then told me he wouldn't be there the next two days either, because he had other work pending. I reminded him that he had told us he needed the work and would be on it at the first opportunity. We were extremely upset. I also told him I needed the additional quotes he promised me.

Description of Work: We gave Ken $6000.00 half of the agreed contract to finish our basement.

Description of Work: He installed my marble backsplash in my kitchen. He also di some trim work for me around my countertops and installed a cabinet I bought myself all for free!! He is very kind, professional, and thorough. He did what I asked, and then asked what else he could do. He never left me hanging with unfinished or an unhappy project. I would definitely call him again.

Description of Work: They did a new kitchen floor and had to remove the old one which was tile. They put in a new drop ceiling in the basement and removed the old one. The put in a new soffit on the west side of house and removed old siding. They also put in a new shower in the basement plus they buried all the water pipes. New windows were installed in the sunroom, plus cosmetic improvements.

Description of Work: I needed quite a bit of repair to my home: including leveling off a sloping kitchen floor, repairing cedar siding to the side of my home and my sun porch; building a sky light for the bathroom; and doing some interior work inside (painting, plastering, dry wall etc). At our initial meeting Ken was prompt and on time (early) which I appreciated. It was obvious as I explained the problems that he was astute and professional. He took his time to measure, talk, ask questions and give wonderful suggestions. He was timely with his estimate, which was detailed, thorough and complete. I was tremendously impressed with Ken and his price was more than fair. Sadly, I was unable to use Ken because I had to attend to other personal matters. Ken was understanding of my dilemma and we agreed that when I was ready to proceed I would call him.

Description of Work: We had some indoor water damage due to a crack in the front stoop and the driveway/sidewalk area that was sinking due to a crushed drainage pipe. First we had the floor in the closet repaired. The damage was moderately extensive. Ken and his crew did an amazing job. I showed them a picture of what I had in mind. I am very pleased with how much we now use this area. Ken's crew put in a bench seat with a shelf which has hooks for coats and also put tile down for the shoes. They also made sure the structural portions were sound and replaced as needed . His crew worked efficiently and were very neat. Secondly, we had the top of the stoop replaced along with the sidewalk/driveway area. Ken and his crew replaced the drainage system from the down spouts which was washing out the dirt from underneath. In the process we also had to drop a tree and do some extra digging to make sure the pipe was fixed properly. Ken's crew who did the driveway and sidewalk did an excellent job. They even put in some decorative flagstone markings to break up the look from the sidewalk to the driveway.

Description of Work: Ken Mills onstruction was very professional. Ken and his team got us out of a bad situation with another contractor. All the work completed by Ken and his team was excellent. At the same time,they were very professional and friendly. I would recommend Ken Mills Constuction to all my friends and neighbors.

Description of Work: Completed a small unfinished back porch deck including railing to match the main deck, a bench, and lattice.

Description of Work: I received an estimate from Ken Millls Construction LLC for drywall, filling, painting and strip out some wallpaper.

Description of Work: Ken Mills Construction remodeled the addition on the back of my house. The addition was lacking a sufficient foundation and became un-level. KMC and his subs lifted the structure, poured a proper and very strong foundation, let the structure rest back on the new foundation, and replaced the floor. Afterward, they replaced the padding and carpeting, and finished the trim and walls as needed. Then he re-sided the entire addition.

Description of Work: Remodeled basement - 2 bedrooms, hallway, kitchette, family room and small office area. Work included insulation and dry walling on all outside walls and any inside walls that were not already drywalled; drop ceiling with lights; windows in basement to meet code for additional living space; painting; enclosed the steps; installed cabinets for kitchette; made built-ins around the sump pump and water meter; added additional outlets as the need was identified.

Description of Work: Ken Mills Construction LLC came out for an estimate for finishing the basement. The walls are up, but he would be covering the block walls, insulating and installing windows and a drop ceiling. His prices are extremely reasonable.

Description of Work: I had Ken come to my house and quote us on adding on a Master Bath and extending our Master bed room in 2004. I have since used him on some other smaller projects, but this one deserves mentioning. I was able to agree on job terms, expectations and cost and Ken brought his crew in to our home. They literally had to remove the back wall of our home and expand out master bedroom out almost 20 ft and 18 across. Over doubling our original size. Once he redid the foundation, he began framing the walls and roof system. Within 3 days it was closed up. Wow, this was impressive. He installed a brand new master bath (more like a spa for us) and finished installing the floors (hardwood and tile) and finalized with paint. Great project by Ken. I would recommend him to anyone considering a renovation at their home.

Description of Work: I needed my ceiling replaced in my living room due to a water leak. Once the repairs were completed I wanted to recreate the intricate crown molding that was in place before the accident.
