ECO CARE CARPET CLEANING

Todd was very thorough and spent a long time working on the many spots. The carpet looks great! He charges by the square foot and measured and quoted me the price before he started so I was paying for exactly what he was doing. It was our first time to use Eco-Care but will definitely use them again and highly recommend their service.

I had been happy with the carpet cleaning service until one 4th of July. After completing a job of finishing off our basement and installing brand new carpeting, I was carrying some old paint cans out of the unfinished area, across the brand new carpet for a distance of about 30 ft and then up the newly carpeted stairs. Must to my consternation, I realized that the paint can had rusted out and left a solid stream of paint all the distance I had travelled. I called the owner Todd and got a recording that his business was closed, but in case of emergency, to call an alternate number. I called and Todd came on the line. I explained my situation and Todd immediately started berating me. and quot;I can't believe you called me on a holiday for that, why would you do that. Of course I'm not going to come out there. I'm spending the day with my family!and quot; I was aghast at his attitude and I said, and quot;but you gave an emergency phone number!and quot;, thinking I was not just calling for an appointment for a later date, but a ruined carpet. and quot; what do you consider to be an emergency?and quot; He then said to me,and quot;if your sewer had backed up or if you had a flood, that's an emergency.and quot; Well, Todd, I hate to tell you, but both of those incidents are emergencies because they end up with a ruined carpet. But so is a half gallon of paint streamed across it. Replacing brand new carpeting is $8000.00 dollars whether it's sewage or soaked in paint. I was mortified by the way he treated me, considering I was a tried and true client who always paid him and also had referred him to my friends. I was embarrassed beyond belief by his nasty response to me, even after he could tell I was very upset, he never apologized or tried to calm down and be reasonable. He never tried to assure me that he could remove paint at a later date, but instead just treated me very rudely and we left the question unresolved. I ended up calling someone else who did come out to clean up the damage, but I was very shaken by my experience and would not call him again. He made me feel like an idiot, when with a little tact, we could still be working together in a client/provider relationship

I liked him a lot. He leaves it dryer than most. I had fallen and hit my head outside and got blood on the carpet, he got that out. He also made an area where I had spilled bleach look so much better. He works really hard at getting it as dry as he can, I really think he does a good job.
