The worker showed up and stated that he was in a hurry. He said that he would see what he could do about unclogging the drain. After four or five attempts he said that he couldn't get the drain unclogged and did not know what was the cause of the clog. He did offer to contact someone else who had a scope (150.00 Charge) and could scope the drain to possibly locate the clog. The worker said that he had to catch a plane and had to leave. He handed me a 115.00 bill for his attempt. He stated that is what the owner of the company charges. The worker used a very old "snake" and said that he paid a couple hundred dollars on Craigslist for it. The drain that was clogged was located in my garage and should have been a simple run. Again, he said that he was out of time. Reluctantly, I paid the bill and thought I would just contact the company and have them send someone out to either put a little more time in the job, since the first guy was there for less than 20 minutes, or give me a reduced rate since they "ran out of time that day." I made contact with the owner after days passed. I left her numerous voicemails before she finally returned my call. She had attitude with me from our very first contact and said that she would see if she could send someone out. I explained to her that if someone would come out and at least attempt to unclog my drain, I would be fine. No one was ever sent out and she refused to return my calls. During my conversation with her, I inquired about the companies certifications. She immediately gave me attitude and said that they didn't need to be certified. She could not tell me where her workers gained their experience and she did not tell me that hey were even insured. Before the worker left, he said that she was running the company into the ground and that she receives lots of complaints. This was such a bad experience because Drain Wizard is a local company and is a small outfit. I try to give my business to local companies and help out the little guy. I think I will be sticking with bigger outfits who are insured and actually care abut their name. **The check I had written to her was cashed the next morning first thing.**I will be taking her to small claims later this month.**

They were nice enough people but I won't call them again. I am not questioning their honesty at all but they need to consider how bringing a "crew" that doesn't stay together in someone's house can be disconcerting to some. And charging me that much for simple toilet clogs and then dripping poop through the house was not great customer service. I'm going to get my own auger!
Description of Work: I called Drain Wizard about three in the afternoon about two toilets which were running sluggishly. The lady on the phone was very nice and said they had two other jobs and then they come. I told them it wasn't an emergency. They arrived about two hours later. I was impressed with how quickly they responded. A crew of three showed up--a man, a lady and a young kid probably in his late teen or very early twenties. I was a little uncomfortable having three people show up to unclog toilets. They took care of the toilet in my walk-out finished basement and then had me take the young man up to the toilet on the first floor. I was very uncomfortable that the two adults did not go with us but stayed in the basement. When I took the young man up to the first floor, he dripped poopie water from his auger all the way through the basement, up the steps, through the hallway and into the first floor bathroom. Since I was leading the way I didn't see it until we went back downstairs. When the young man and I returned to the basement the other two had left and gotten into their truck and I never saw them again. It made me very uncomfortable to have people alone in parts of my house and then have them leave when I am in another part of the house. I think they should have either stayed together or not brought so many people for a simple toilet unclog. Then they gave me a bill for $170 an hour. I asked about a senior discount and they gave me $10 off for a total of $160. Wow.
