AVALON GLAVIS PEST CONTROL

I have used Avalon-Glavis for the past three years and have been extremely happy with their service. Steve was on the first two calls and Tom was the most recent call. Both gentlemen were very professional, taking the time to explain what they were doing, the treatments they were using, and any follow-up needed. The prices are well worth it, and I highly recommend Avalon-Glavis Pest Control.

I didn't end up using this company. I called them on a Wednesday and they said they would be out Thursday afternoon or Friday, but they would call me if they weren't going to be able to come until Friday. I never received a call so on Friday morning I called to see if I was on the schedule for that day and she informed me that one of their service vehicles just blew up and she wasn't sure if they would be able to come so she would call me back. She did call me back a few minutes later and said they would have to reschedule me for Monday so I let her know that I was going to try to find another company that could come out sooner. I did find another company that came out the same day so I didn't have to wait the weekend.

Since we used them last year, we called to schedule an appointment for service this year. They said that they would be able to come out in about a week or so for an afternoon appointment. We told them that we would have to be their first appointment of the day because we have free-range chickens that we would have to keep in the coop until it was safe to let them out and we didn't want to leave them in there any longer than necessary. They then told us that the first appointment of the day wouldn't be available for about a month. We said that we wanted to schedule that day. They told us that they would be at our place between 9:00 and 9:30. Around 8:30 we called their office to make sure that the appointment was going to happen in light of all the rain we had. Their voice message said that their office opened at 9:00. We were expecting a return call shortly after 9:00 but by 9:30 I called to ask about our scheduled appointment (they don't have a good track record of returning phone calls). I was told by the woman who answered the phone that she had just talked with the service person and that he would be coming to our place right after he finished his prior appointment. Even though I wasn't happy that they didn't really schedule us for the first appointment of the day (and that we waited a month) I ended the call expecting a service person soon. Once it passed 10:00 I called back to find out what was happening with our scheduled appointment. The same woman (at least he voice sounded the same to me) explained to me that he would be at our place when he was finished with his other appointment. I asked her if she realized that we were scheduled to be the first appointment of the day. She said that she had nothing to do with it; that the service person had all of the paperwork. I asked her if the service person was the one who scheduled the appointments and she said, no, that she was. So I asked how it was that he was at another appointment before ours. She then took a very belligerent tone with me and said things like, "we don't live in a perfect world" and "things happen"; and that she hasn't been able to talk with the service person yet this morning (curious, because during our earlier call she told me that she had just talked with him and that he would be stopping at our place next). I then asked her if she realized how pathetic their customer service was. She argued, in a much louder voice, that their customer service was not pathetic. At that point I told her to just cancel our appointment and that we would find another company who could service their customers properly.

Good. They showed up on time and did a very professional job. I'd use them again.

They come out every year. I have not had a problem with them. They're very punctual. I was having problems and they immediately recognized where our bee problem was and handled it accordingly. Their prices and quality of service are excellent.

We have used them for several years. We used them last year, and we will use them again this year. We just moved into a new home. They are very prompt and attentive. They stand behind their work. We had ants, and they came back. They said that was normal, and to wait a couple of weeks. The ants disappeared, but Avalon told us they would come back out and respray if we wanted them to. We have never had any problems with any insects including wasps.

We have been using them for 10 years and they have always done well for us.
