Stanek Windows

Sale and installation went reasonable well, the sales guy wrote it up wrong and they used the wrong trim on one, it also has issues closing and I noted it during installation but they said since I signed off it’s my problem, a guy came out looked then said he had the wrong materials in the car and someone else would resolve it, that was 12 weeks ago and they don’t respond to emails or phone calls..

From the time of 1st meeting to the installation everything went great.

They did half the job and did not come back. I am still waiting for my outside windows. On Monday, 12/2/19, my installation was started in the rain. Halfway through, they said that they could not do the outside windows because of the rain. It was raining when they loaded the truck. It was raining when they started. But suddenly the same rain was a problem. They said they would finish it on Saturday, 12/7/19. It was clear and dry all day and no one ever showed up or called. It's too dark for them to do anything now. So I have no outside windows, just wood and insulation hanging out for almost a week. I have photos.

It was awesome! They were on time and professional.High quality work!

Techs came out didn't have what they needed to fix window and said material is not available. So much for the lifetime warranty. The next day a representative called to try and sell me a new window. to replace the window that should have been under the " lifetime warranty". I would never never never recommend this company.

Took 3 attempts to come and get things right. Stanek Windows accounts taken over by Patio Enclosures, Great Day Improvements. That’s where the problems began. Grateful I only had 3 windows out of about 16 left when takeover occurred. They only came out to solve problems AFTER I reported to the BBB. Otherwise ignored me. Now calling me because of poor review. Hope god never see them again.

The work was finished within one day. The windows look beautiful. The price was expensive, but the windows are great quality.

Ordered 3 new windows, specifically stating that one of them needed to be able to accommodate an air conditioning unit. Salesperson said it would, installer said it wouldn't. After some phone calls, finally got a piece to insert in the window, which looks like it will work. The other two windows seem good, although the window crank has plastic on the handle, which I hope won't break. We should have done more comparison shopping.

Replaced three windows, specifically changed one window design so that an air conditioner unit could be put in. Talked about this with the salesperson who said the window he was selling us could have the A/C unit in. When the windows were installed, the installer said that we would need to purchase an extra piece to put into the window because otherwise it would buckle from the weight. When we called 3 times to the salesperson to discuss this, he said he'd get back to us and never has!! I feel the windows were overpriced, but we didn't want to deal with getting quotes and so we made a big mistake on that! Never again!

Quality of the product and installation was excellent. The base that the installer created for the new door is far superior to the original door base. I will buy from Stanek again later this year when I intend to replace a front door.

Very badly. In speaking with the Service Rep, I admitted using a heat gun to strip paint from wood on one window, not both. I was told it would cost $229 to have the inside molding fixed. On a second call with the Service Rep and Installation Manager, I was basically told the installation issues I described could not have happened, insinuating I was not telling the truth. I admitted using a heat gun on one window. The Installation Manager told me a heat gun was used on both windows. I advised the Installation Manager and Sales Rep I've spent $40k with the company. I was willing to talk about some compromise - but, I was told what I've spent in the past did not matter, and the company would only fix the windows if I paid the $229 fee. I cancelled the repair appointment.

The service was excellent. They have a quality products, excellent customer service and do a fantastic job. They were finished in one day. They did a great job at cleaning up. They were prompt and I would recommend them to friends and family.

Purchasing our windows through Stanek was a $17,000 mistake. We replaced all the windows in our home with Stanek and did the project in two phases. The first phase, replacing seven windows in our bedrooms in 2012, went off without a hitch. The installation crew was professional and did a great job, and we've had no issues with the windows. The next year we ordered windows for the rest of our home -- 16 in all. The whole experience was a nightmare. I was told over the phone that this would be a three-day job. The crew they sent was headed up by a meth addict who tried to install all 16 windows in one day. During this rush, they cut corners in installation, telling my husband that they didn't remove the shutters to caulk (a process the previous crew did, and said was important to prevent water seeping behind the siding) because one of them was allergic to bees. They also cut a hole in our siding. They patched the hole with caulk. No surprise, they did not finish the job in one day, so the next day the head of the crew proceeded to install the remaining windows -- including a large, very heavy picture window -- by himself. After months of research, we selected Stanek because we had heard great things about their windows and about their installation service, so my husband and I were very upset by this process. After the installer left, I called to complain. I was given lip service apology. Two days later, the head of the crew showed up at my house completely strung out. He terrified my babysitter and two young children, and demanded to know why he wasn't being paid. I felt threatened so I told him to leave and that if he returned I would call the police. I was furious that a Stanek employee showed up at my house and behaved in a threatening manner and made me feel unsafe in my home, so I called Stanek; their response was that they are sorry and that it is very hard to find good help. They sent three managers out to my house; one of them told my husband he'd give us a $100 rebate that we never received. Today -- November 10 -- I decided to take advantage of the warm afternoon and washed my kitchen windows. The mechanism to clean the window snapped and the window wouldn't close. When I called to complain, I was told that they couldn't get anyone out to help me until tomorrow. It is completely disheartening to have paid nearly $20,000 and know that my children will be freezing in their home tonight because this company is completely incompetent and uninterested in standing behind their product. If anyone is considering Stanek I urge you to reconsider. Our experience has been just terrible. My old house had Andersen replacement windows. They are more expensive, but in retrospect it would have been worth every penny to pay more for better quality and service.

They replaced most of the windows in my mother's upscale rental in Beachwood. They were timely and professional and I would highly recommend them. They matched the exiting windows to keep the continuity of the look of the home. Good quality and air tight.

The windows look great and are of very nice quality but the workman lied about cutting our security Wires. We were told they would need to be cut but that they would be brought back through so the security company could hook them back up. They came out brought them through the woodtrim which was of no help them refused to come back and do the job properly. We had to pay someone to fix things.

They were outstanding. Their customer service was fantastic. They did what they said they were going to do. A window was scratched, and they called to let me know about it and ordered a new one for me. They were so neat and clean, and their integrity definitely showed. They used long-time employees who were nothing but polite. I received a quality product from an outstanding company. I have 43 Pella windows in my house and I will be replacing them all with Stanek windows.

This is the second year we contracted with Stanek windows, and like before we had issues with the completion of work. Since I do not have central air, I opted for another air conditioner sash. When the installers arrived the air conditioner sash was not yet manufactured (same problem last year). When I spoke with Stanek's office staff, I was told that the air conditioner sash was manufactured and would be delivered with the replacement glass for two of the recently installed windows. When the installers finally arrived several weeks later, I was told the he had to manufacture the air conditioner sash himself the night before. So, basically the Stanek representatives that I spoke with lied about the sash being manufactured and ready to be delivered. I mentioned that I had to have two glass panels replaced because of defective glass. One of the glass panels had a chip inside the double pane, the other had a deep scratch on the outside. I'm almost certain the installers knew of the defects but still installed the windows. This was such an inconvenience to me because I had to take time off of work to be present during the installation and the replacement of the glass panels. I learned that Stanek Windows was recently purchased by Great Day Improvements, so this may be one of the reasons for the poor quality control and customer service. There are many companies offering windows of similar quality, so I would suggest shopping around. This year's experience with the representatives at Stanek Windows left me angered and disappointed. Since I had problems with Stanek two years in a row, I will not be contracting with them next year to complete the replacement of windows in my home.
