THIS IS PAUL FROM REGENCY ROOFING – SHAKEMASTERS, I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE YOU INFORMATION ON WHAT TRANSPIRED. MY INITIAL CONTACT WITH THE MEMBER WAS BACK ON JULY 12, 2008 WHEN HE HAD CALLED OUR EMERGENCY PAGER ON A SATURDAY – HE WAS CLOSING ON A HOME AND NOTICED A FEW LEAKS ON HIS FINAL WALK THROUGH OF THE HOME. HARDLY AN EMERGENCY, I WENT INTO WORK TO LOOK-UP THE ADDRESS TO SEE IF WE HAD EVER WORKED AT THAT ADDRESS IN THE PAST. THE ANSWER WAS NO, AND HE THEN ASKED ME TO LOOK AT IT ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY. I INSPECTED THE LEAKS AND ROOF AND GAVE A FULL REPORT TO THE MEMBER AND HIS REALTOR ON THE SAME DAY, JULY 14TH. WHAT GREAT SERVICE! I ALSO DID THIS AT NO CHARGE WAIVING THE INSPECTION FEE OF $250.00. NO CALL EVER CAME FROM HIM EVEN TO SAY THAT THE OWNERS WERE HANDLING. AS A MATTER OF FACT I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. THEN A CALL COMES INTO OUR OFFICE ON OCTOBER 6TH, 3 MONTHS LATER FROM THE MEMBER SAYING HE HAS A LEAK. HE DOES NOT ASK FOR ME (PAUL) EVEN THOUGH I KNOW ALL THE HISTORY. ANOTHER ESTIMATOR LOOKS AT THE LEAK, HE BRINGS THE INFO TO ME, AND I SAY, “WAIT A MINUTE, I HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE.” IT WAS NOT A NEW LEAK; IT WAS THE SAME OLD LEAK I HAD DESCRIBED IN MY REPORT TO HIM BACK IN JULY. WHY DID HE CALL US WHEN HE SAID ROOF WAS RECENTLY FIXED BY ANOTHER COMPANY OF THE PREVIOUS HOMEOWNERS CHOOSING? THEN I THOUGHT OKAY, HE MADE A MISTAKE BY NOT USING US THE FIRST TIME, SO LET’S GET THE JOB DONE FOR HIM. THEN, THE MEMBER CALLS AGAIN AND WANTS TO SPEAK WITH THE ESTIMATOR TO TELL HIM WHAT TO SAY TO HIS HOMEOWNERS WARRANTY COMPANY. AFTER HEARING THAT, WE DECIDED TO TELL HIM IT WOULD BE BEST IF HE FOUND ANOTHER COMPANY. THAT IS NOT HOW WE CONDUCT OUR BUSINESS. IF YOU EVER NEED A EXPERIENCED, HARD WORKING, HONEST COMPANY TO DO WORK FOR YOU CALL US!
