Description of Work: They replaced slate tiles and repaired the roof over the garage. I also had them replace a couple of downspouts. They cleaned the downspouts too. In the past, I've had him also repair some brickwork on my balcony.

Description of Work: They replaced approximately one third of our cedar shake roof with a new pine product with a 50 year warranty that does not require chemical treatments. The gutters and down spouts were replaced with copper, including copper leave guards. They will be doing the remainder of roof as well.

Description of Work: Replaced our flat roof, tuck pointed or chimney. Installed new gutters and back splashes.

+ -1 moreWe have used Tamas Hegyi in the past and highly recommend him. He is a true professional: knowledgeable in his field, strong work ethic, and reliable. He also has a delightful, friendly personality. His crew arrived on time, was careful to protect surrounding areas when they worked, and did a good job. Tamas stayed in touch throughout the scope of the project. The price seemed high at first (we are restoring the home using authentic materials, such as slate and copper), but in view of the quality, attention to detail and thoroughness of the work--along with the peace of mind coming from a 15-year transferable warranty--we know that Tamas has been the right choice every time, and his price is fair. It's hard to imagine anyone with better customer service or expertise with slate and copper roofs.
Description of Work: When the wind and rains came pouring as part of the aftermath from the Sandy hurricane, we found leaks in three different rooms on the 3rd floor of our historic home. Tamas took photographs showing the areas needing repair and responded quickly to our need to stop the water intrusion. Above & Beyond Roofing replaced chimney flashing, tuckpointed chimneys, and tuckpointed walls.

+ -1 moreTamas Heggil, the owner, made the inspection of both chimneys, photographed them, arranged for all the work, supervised and completed the job in excellent fashion. We have used Tamas on other roof work and although not the cheapest his work has been outstanding.
Description of Work: Project went from 11/21/12 to 11/29/12 Erected scaffolds on both sides of the house around the chimneys. Tore down bricks to the flashing on the roof. Rebuilt the chimneys, removed the scaffolds, and cleaned up.
