Although no one ever plans on something like this happening, once in this situation, we did our homework to find the very best company to handle the mess. Ray's was the only well-rated company that we found able to provide the services we needed with the reputation to back it. Ray and his team arrived on time for our scheduled appointment. His team of five cleaning wizards, Jerome Sr.; Jerome Jr. (yes, father & son); Demetrius; Reese and Bub were each introduced to us. Wanting to make sure everyone was comfortable around our 84 lb. German Shepherd, we then had a meet and greet. She is extremely calm, trained and human friendly, so the guys enjoyed taking a minute or two throughout the day to pet her or throw her a toy. Ray and team wasted no time in setting up their necessary equipment including cleaning product0s, towels, sponges, cleaning products, ladders, waste bags and very clean, newly filtered industrial vacuums, to begin their long day ahead. Of importance to us was use of "green" and safe as possible products that cause as little odor or affect on an asthmatic too. In fact, Ray went over this with me during the estimate as he is very conscientious of such details. The crew spent nearly eight hours hand cleaning, scrubbing and vacuuming every inch of our home interior including, but not limited to: ceilings, walls, fireplace, skylights, sun tubes, closets, baseboards, door frames, windows, sills, shades, carpet, flooring, ceiling fans, personal effects, bathrooms, bedrooms, light fixtures, mirrors, all furnishings and artwork. Each of them set to work in specific areas with attention to detail, thorough and careful cleaning, as well as great care of our personal property and effects. They worked tirelessly, scrubbing, washing, vacuuming, and cleaning by hand every inch of our home from ash and soot. A number of actions are particularly noteworthy of Ray and his crew: 1. He replaced a couple of burned out light bulbs he found during their cleaning. 2. One 4 foot piece of hand-sculpted copper artwork required great care in removing from the wall and replacing. They not only used great care, but also came up with a way to prevent the piece from sliding, which had previously scratched the wood wall to which it hung. 3. When the ash/soot incident occurred, we still had many moving boxes in one bedroom as well as some that were opened and partially filled. Ray and his team moved all the boxes to get to all areas of that room, certainly something we did not expect them to do. 4. They took just one half hour break for lunch, which we insisted on paying for. 5. Nothing was poured down any of our inside drains, everything was poured into a drain in our garage. 6. Ray is the owner, but just as hard a worker as his crew, and above all, committed to excellence! Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to Ray and his team. Pride in their workmanship is most evident. Whether your cleaning is due to our circumstances, (hopefully not!), or you would simply appreciate a thorough scrubbing and cleaning of your home, Ray's Cleaning is well worth the money and you will not be disappointed.

Ray is pretty much a god of cleaning. After 13 years of neglect, our older 2-bathroom 1,080-square-foot home needed a lot of work. I pored over reviews before deciding that Ray was my guy. It was easy to get in touch with him, and although we had some scheduling conflicts, he was more than accommodating and able to come out for an estimate within the week. I had a minor heart attack when first reading the estimate, but after a few days of recovery, decided to go ahead with the service. It did take a couple months to fit into his busy schedule, but today was the big day! I will admit I was a bit nervous because 1) Ray's Cleaning Service has absolutely no online presence outside of Angie's List, and 2) I have just never heard of anyone spending this kind of money on a house cleaning. HOWEVER, my fears were eased within the first half hour of Ray's team arriving. These guys were thorough and professional, and seriously just went to town on my home. Even though I didn't know every last detail that needed work performed, Ray sure did. He and his team of 5 other guys scrubbed down every wall in our home, cleaned baseboards, framework and windowsills, detailed light fixtures, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, appliances, vents, blinds, mirrors and lamps, and washed all of our hard floors, including hand-scrubbing grout. I used to have a little tiny dark dingy kitchen that is now bright and sparkling and beautiful. Ray removed deep stains from our bathtub/shower stall that I had given up upon. The guys moved furniture to vacuum every last corner of the place. When our bedroom air conditioner wasn't running too well, Ray took it upon himself to take it apart and clean it all out. He checked our furnace filter and replaced burnt out lightbulbs, and went ahead and scrubbed our back doorway and the stairs to the basement even though we'd never technically discussed that. He answered a lot of my questions about maintenance and household repairs, and gave me cleaning tips. He was friendly with my young son, who was quite intrigued by what was going on, and also my cat, who couldn't care less. Overall, it took 6 guys about 8 hours to clean our house, plus quite a commute each way. They arrived on time, brought all their own tools and supplies, and worked efficiently all day long. It was a big job, and the result is absolutely outstanding. I am so glad we pulled the trigger on this!

Went very well. Came at their scheduled time and worked efficiently. Ray is very pleasant and professional. He also checked our ceiling lights, to see if we needed any bulbs replaced. The windows, fans and light fixture are sparkling clean.

Did HUGE FAVOR referring me to specialist to do big job preparatory to selling my house. The referral was FABULOUS. Nice of him to go to the trouble!!!

Ray and his crew were great. They were prompt and through in all that they did. My home looked sparkling clean when they were done. I would hire Ray again and will not hesitate to recommend them in the future.

Things were ok. There were a couple little things that weren't well cleaned, liek the bottom of the kitchen sink and the inside of the oven. For what we paid those things should have been taken care of. Ray himself did seem like a good guy, just disapointed in his cleaning team.

The best job ever! Super clean, had 5 men on the job, they found what needed doing, and did it! Even replaced the dryer vent tube as it looked full!

Ray was outstanding. I did not plan ahead very well and reached out to him just days before my move in date. He was able to rearrange his schedule so that I could have a clean house before we moved our goods in. The home has had a few owners and we wanted it to be deep cleaned so that we could simply move in and not have to clean base boards, walls, cabinets, appliances, basement, garage, etc. He did all that and more! He said the previous owner had a dog and their was dog hair everywhere. I am happy to say if he hadn't of told me, I wouldn't know about this dog - because they got rid of it all! After Ray left, we had an unrelated issue with water in the basement that we discovered the next day. I called Ray very early the following morning to ask if he had any insight into this issue. Although he didn't and it had nothing to do with him, he called me back later in the day to make sure that we had it all worked out. As a professional in the area, Ray has a strong network of providers and was willing to share his recommendations (I am new to the area). Ray was a great service provider and I highly recommend him for your deep cleaning needs.

I have an old farm house with an outside-access cellar door (like in the Wizard of Oz) so Ray and the crew were able to utilize that entrance rather than use the regular entrance door. The process went very well. The preparation was a lot of work because I had promised to have everything removed from the basement. Having all of the items removed helped to quicken the process...no time wasted moving stuff around.. The guys on the crew (I believe that there were 4 or 5) had all been introduced to me, and were very focused and conscientious. The basement was incredibly clean. All I had to do was to run fans along with the AC in order to help it dry. Then I was able to replace the items that I had removed in an organized fashion which helped me purge the items I no longer used or needed. I would definitely hire this company again.

They're excellent. They made it look liveable. What's really neat is that they clean and they put the water that's on the floor that they cleaned up, they don't pour it down the drain. They go all the way upstairs and outside and they pour it out there. They said that they don't want to put all the debris down to the drain hole and clog it up. I thought that was awesome. For the estimate, they come right out. They come when they say they're going to come. I like them. They made it look better than it did before the water damage.

I'm not leaving a price that we paid because his price depends on size, number of rooms, etc. When we received his estimate, he broke it down so it was easy to see what we were paying for.

If provider is unable to take jobs, don't schedule with customers. Know your schedule! Response to provider update - Again, Ray came to see my home 2 times and provided an estimate and date and then cancelled last minute which was a huge headache and unprofessional. I do not have the incorrect provider. Provider needs better tracking of schedule for now he does not even claim to have seen me. I received an estimate for clean out from Ohio Junk Force (see Angie's list reviews) who did an awesome job and for half the cost of Ray's. Its not worth the potential hassle - just my advice as an honest Angie's List Reviewer....

There was a stark contrast to how the unit looked once Ray's team completed the job. They were there the entire day. They were kind enough to also fix some damaged things at no additional cost that I would have hired someone to do. Ray was very accommodating and fitted me in since I was from out of town and needed to get the work finished on a tight timeline. It was a relief to have had Ray's team do the job.

They did most of the work, but not quite to the level I would have liked. think it was underbid and under resourced so they didn't have enough help

My experience with Ray's Cleaning Service was excellent. It was a very big job and they did a wonderful job. He is very particular. He is on site so he supervises his crew. I just had a very good experience with him. I would give him an 'A' on all of them.

They were excellent. They were very meticulous and did everything. They went back and double check to make sure that everything was done the way I wanted. They were very professional. I was very happy with them, they did everything I wanted them to do and they weren't cheap. They were on time and they did it in the time they said they would.

They were very prompt and efficient. The work was done quickly and I was quite happy with the results.

I called Ray to get an estimate on his services. I didn't have time to give him a walk through of the property so all estimates are over the phone. Ray's cleaning crew did a great job with an unbelievably filthy apartment. His team specifically focused on bathrooms, kitchen's, baseboards, and walls since I was replacing the carpeting and kitchen flooring anyway. His team did a great job in a faster than estimated amount of time. Additionally, Ray is a very trustworthy person and I felt confident that I could rely on him even though I am a remote landlord. I felt the pricing was reasonable - not low enough to make me feel like I got a great deal but low enough that I would describe it as fair price. I would certainly use him again because a trustworthy cleaning service for a remote landlord is very hard to find and well worth the price I paid.

Ray and his crew were prompt, professional and did an amazing job on the heaviest spring cleaning this 26 year-old house has ever experienced. They were able to remove smoke and grime from the walls and ceilings in all areas of the house. I highly recommend Ray and his team. I knew there was a great deal of deep cleaning that this house needed, but after working 10 hour days, I just couldn't get the energy up to dig in and do it. In less than one day, Ray and his team got the house spotless and now it's just a matter of maintenance on my part! I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend their service for everyone and anyone who is looking for a top-knotch cleaning service!
