The website had great examples of fence styles and exactly what we were looking for in a fence. Got a quick response on the initial inquiry call and appointment to come to the house and provided an immediate written estimate. Instructions were clear on what we needed to do prior to installation in terms of utility marking, scheduling and payment. Once scheduled the workers were polite and industrious, answered all my questions and clarified exactly where we wanted the fence and gates. Day 1 the fence post were installed set in cement. 2 days later they came back and installed the boards, wire and gates in 1/2 day, on a Sunday. There was no notice about the second day of work but it turned out fine for our schedule. This was not an easy job since the property is on a hillside and there are lots of rocks in the ground. The workers were even very careful to minimally disturb the flowers that were too close to where they were installing the posts.

We were worried about our neighbors feeling put off by us installing a privacy fence, but Wesley's friendly spirit had all of the neighbors out together and chatting during the installation, making it a nice community event! Aside from that, he did great work and clearly is skilled and experienced at the trade. A neighbor who shares one side of our new fence thought it looked so nice that he self-installed a matching piece on the other side of his own yard the very next day.

The job took a day or two longer than we hoped, but that was due to the complexity of the yard itself, not the work of the company. Overall it went well and we are very satisfied.
Description of Work: We needed our new back yard fenced in to contain our dogs. Gina was very responsive to our needs and timetable, and Wesley worked long and hard to ensure the fencing both looked good and would keep our dogs in. Our yard has a very steep grade and ancient stone walls in places so this was not a simple job. We are very satisfied with the results, however our dogs wish otherwise. :-)

It was fine. We are very happy with the fence. They actually had to cut into a tree to put the fence in so they cut a big giant dent in a tree instead of asking if they could cut the tree down or move the fence. We didn't like that but other than that we were happy with the work. We only got one other quote. We weren’t here when they did the work .

Quoting process was easy with Gina. She was punctual, and walked the desired fence route with us, giving suggestions and answering questions appropriately. The estimate was in hand within 12 hours, and once signed, work was scheduled and materials were delivered within a couple of days. Wesley was our project manager - very detailed oriented with 20+ years of experience. Total install time was about 8 days, with some short days due to weather. The fence is exactly what we were looking for - thank you Fence Co!

Gina responded to my request for a quotation immediately. She arrived on time and was very efficient. Told me what my options would be and gave me her professional recommendations. She measured my yard and emailed me a proposal that afternoon. She also gave me sound advice regarding logistics, i.e. the building permit from Wyoming, recommended a very good surveyor, etc. She was also patient when I modified the design a few times and sent me the revised quotes. I felt she had my best interests in mind and wanted me to be happy. Wesley arrived with a few helpers as scheduled to install the fence. I do not think I have ever seen anyone work so diligently and meticulously. He took great care making sure all the posts were spaced evenly and in the correct positions. He checked with me to see if I had a preference about a few posts, the location of gates, and let me know what he thought would work and look the best. He also made sure it was "puppy tight" all around for our golden retriever. He was so nice, showing me how the gates work and how to lock them. The end result is we now have a very pretty fence in our back yard. I am so happy with it. Even my neighbors have commented on how nice it looks and told me they could not believe what a great job Wes did. So refreshing to find a nice company do an excellent job with no surprises!

When we decided to have a fence installed, we got 3 quotes - The Fence company was in the middle - I decided not to go with the cheapest because typically you get what you pay for. The other company quoted almost $2000 higher than Gina - When i initially called, Gina returned my message right away - we set an appt for that week - she arrived on time and was very upfront and professional. Her installers came as promised on a Thursday, and as promised finished the next day. The crew was very very nice, and when they arrived they got right to work - when they wrapped up, they cleaned up the mess nicely and here we are left with a GREAT fence and couldn't be happier :))) I would recommend them highly.

Gina was responsive when I called to get an estimate and was right on time. She was professional and very nice. she was able to schedule my installation within a few days. On the day of installation her crew got stuck in traffic and she called to let me know they would be a little late. Her team was courteous and was willing to rework things when we found out our HOA rules meant we had to change the fence a bit. They cleaned up after themselves and were pleasant and polite. They gave us instruction about the cement and setting time. They finished the work on the second day and in fact finished earlier than they thought. the fence is wonderful and just what we wanted. It was worth the money and I would use them again in a second

The fence was installed during a very rainy period in April 2011, and the main installer was ill the week prior, so the work was delayed somewhat, as would be expected. Once begun, however, the work was completed in a little over 2 days, as I had been told it would. We had one communication hitch: I would have appreciated a call from Gina the day before the work was to begin, since we knew we were "on hold." Instead, Wesley (the installer) called the morning of arrival, and the phone message he left was inaudible. So I couldn't call him back, and I was in class, so I didn't get the message until later in the day and the work was well underway. This was a problem mainly because we were planning to go out of town that evening for a funeral (unexpectedly), so I was really worried about our backyard being unfenced during our absence (2 nights). However, thankfully, Wesley helped to secure everything so that yard stuff would not be stolen during our absence, including moving the gas grill into the kitchen (!!!) and locking down our small shed. A few relatively minor or cosmetic concerns: a couple boards have small gaps between them, one board is chipped at the base, the coloration is not even on all the boards, and the rear edge is not really level across the top (from the kitchen window, we can now see that our property is not level, as the fence follows the ground). The fence looks rustic, because it is unstained; fortunately, all of that is okay with us. A more fussy/upscale customer might not like the appearance. Also, we agreed on an impromptu solution regarding a hackberry tree (a volunteer) that was in the way at one corner of our property -- it was not feasible to dig a hole for a post, as the corner of the yard was root-filled and had cement and stone under the roots. So we agreed for the installer to have the fence bypass the tree, making a corner with 2 angles instead of one--a bit unconventional. We have a VERY small yard, so we were disappointed to "lose" a little corner of the yard, but it seemed a reasonable solution, given the problem. Now the shed does not fit up against that corner of the fence, but it's not a major concern. Clean-up after the job was reasonably good; we have a dachshund, so I was concerned about some temporary spaces at the base of the fence where she might crawl out. Wesley used a shovel to fill those spots before leaving. The installers worked very hard and efficiently, and with good humor in spite of nasty weather. They removed the chainlink fence, and all the honeysuckle that was in the way, before installing the fence; other companies who gave us quotes were not willing to do all that, so this was a positive factor in the decision of who to hire. I did ask if the metal fencing material would be recycled, but I couldn't get a clear answer on where the discarded fence goes (eco-angst). One problem I noticed after they left--I was told they were going to use some cement to fill the holes in the sidewalk by the front, where the posts for the chain-link were cut off; but they did not fill them. We decided after we signed the quote to have a privacy fence/gate installed near the front of the house. We are really glad we did add that; and we are also glad that the gate is wider than we expected (with only 3 posts, not 2). The landscapers were happy about this, because it makes their job easier for installing a patio. Wesley is very friendly and talkative, Gina is very pleasant. I felt like I learned quite a bit from each of them. The fact that they continue to operate their company after being divorced for so long says a lot about their ability to "work well with others." Some people might be put off by Wesley's personable manner, but I found him kind and (mostly) entertaining. I also liked that Gina expressed some warmth when she came for the estimate/measuring. I did not get to meet her father, but having cared for my mother at the end of her life and being a fan of multi-generational living, I was impressed that she brings her father with her. I was delighted to find a company like this operated by a woman, and that was a significant factor in deciding to hire them. I would hire them again and recommend them to friends.
Description of Work: Dog-eared privacy fence installed in very small, urban backyard. Chain-link fence was removed and hauled away. Brush was cleared to make room for the new fence. Initial estimate was lower, based on only the fence in the rear. We later added a request for a gate/fence toward the front of the house. We explained this was not our dream house and we didn't want to spend a fortune; but we wanted the job done right. We felt we received a fair quote, as compared to the others received.

The fence was installed during a very rainy period in April. The installer did have some shorter days while installing the posts as the rain was making ponds in the area, but did work in the rain installing the wire mesh to the posts until finished. Clean-up after the job was very good. The installer is very experienced in installing fences so there really weren't any issues with the fence installation.
Description of Work: The Fence Co. installed 3 Board Kentucky fencing with 2 gates enclosing the backyard. A wire mesh was included to keep the dogs in the yard. I'm very pleased with the fence. It looks great & seems well built! The back line of the property had some challenges, but the installer did a great job working the fence in. The top of the fence & all the boards run in straight, smooth lines. The quality of the lumber used was very good. I was pleasantly surprised that the boards for the side pieces were thicker than expected & had very few blemishes. The installer also put effort into keeping the mesh near the ground so that the dogs can't easily dig & get out. Overall satisfaction is very pleased with the appearance & with being a very sturdy fence.

I must say that Gina showed great professionalism and patients with me! The first time she came out to give me an estimate, I was so clueless, I didn't have a survey. I am a first time home buyer, was going through a painful divorce and and was clueless about most stuff. All I knew is that I wanted my dogs to move in with me ASAP, and I needed a fence in order to do that safely. Gina drove all the way from Loveland for nothing; which was really a great teaching moment for me! She took the time to tell me what I needed to do prior to getting a fence, including talking to my new neighbors. Which turned out to be very vauleable advice. My neighbors were very upset that I was messing up the "park like setting of their back yards to suit my own needs". This didn't change my mind, but it needed up being important to my neighbors that I took the time to share with them my intent and to consider their feelings in my fencing options. When I got everything done, that needed to be handled prior to the fence estimate I feared calling her back for another estimate. I felt so stupid the first time I had her come out! As fate has it, I accidently phoned her from a list I had made (from Angie's). While describing my situation she said "Is this Jodi?". After laughing about the situation, we made arrangements for her to come back out. While talking it became clear that Gina too, is a dog lover and understood my urgency to have them with me. Gina assisted me in picking out a fence that would add to the beauty of the "park like setting", contain my dogs and something I could afford! Gina took everything into consideration, including that I was stressed out, overwhelmed and clueless. Gina treated me with respect and dignity throughout this whole process. She even met me to sign the contract and give her my deposit. I was able to talk with her Father again, who I enjoyed every much! I went to closing and 12 hours later, Wess and his crew was there at the break of day! I met them at the house, showed them what I knew (that took seconds) and took off to meet the movers! Crazy day! I needed Wess to be independent and trust worthly...he and his guys were that and so much more!!!!!!! By the end of the next day I had a beautiful fence!!!!!!!! They came out the following day to add the decorative corners in the front yard. I should also add that Wess cleaned out poison ivy, vines, parts of a prior fence and cut down tree limbs. Wess talked, answered questions and delt with a difficult neighbor for me; while I was dealing with movers. He took the time to show me things about my house I didn't know! You would think that the most important thing he did was build a beautiful fence, which he did....No my friends, in the middle of all of this Duke Energy shows up to cut wires to the house, which left them hanging in the front! While Duke and I were fighting in the front, Wess comes out to see what was going on and assisted me with not only dealing with Duke, but he tied up the wires so they wouldn't be a eye sore and instucted me on what I needed to do to fix the situation. Beyond kindness! Gina and Wess are God-sends to me! They not only put up with me but assisted me in powerful ways!!!!! You may want to know that everyone that comes to my house raves about my fence!!!!!! My neighbors even love it and my difficult neighbor....she still ask me about my nice fence guy! I don't know what Wess said to Miss. Pearl that day....but God bless him!

The company is owned by a divorced couple, Gina and Wes. Gina does the proposals and Wes does the installation. The problems my husband and I encountered with the company were based on our lack of experience in purchasing a fence. First, let me say that Wes was a very pleasant man to work with and after a small amount of work he and his assistant had completed, I felt I would have a well-constructed fence. I have to admit I had many sleepless nights before I meet Wes. We walked the yard and I expressed every concern and he assured me that he could handle every issue. He also built an excellent fence and put on a beautiful lock. He knew the fence was for our new puppy and I felt he sincerely wanted to build a fence that would protect him. Let me say the fence was built in accordance with the contract. However, as a result of our lack of understanding in the beginning and not wanting to start back at step one; we elected to have the fence installed per the contract but it isn’t the fence we had envisioned. When we were shown photos by Gina to select the wood, we saw a photo of brown wood. In our ignorance, we thought this was what our fence was going to look like. However, our fence is raw wood which is not brown. We learned too late that we had contracted to have a raw wood fence installed. To look like what we want the wood must be stained. We were also told by either Gina or Wes that the wood cannot be stained for six months. I contacted a lumber company who told me that yes there is a six month waiting period between when the wood is treated and when it is stained but that the lumber sits for so long after being treated that your contractor can purchase lumber that has already sat for six month. The lumber company said to simply go to any expensive new neighborhood and you see stained fences not raw wood. On the day the fence was being installed my husband asked Wes if the wood was stained before or after the wire was added and Wes said that our fence wasn’t going to be stained. We were both so upset. I cannot even express our horror (but later my husband decided to make the best of it and because the fence was well constructed he called Wes and left a message that Sami (our 3 month old puppy) was happy with the fence. Gina took this to mean my husband and I are happy with the fence but there is a bit of a difference!) The other problem we encountered was the first proposal. Initially, when I called Gina I told her we were considering just a dog run. She told me that for such a small job I should call a company closer to my home. Because her company had so many A reports on Angie’s List, I wanted to use their company so I explained that our home was not an unreasonable distance from the location of her company (Loveland) and that I had actually lived in Loveland so was very familiar with the distance. She agreed to come out. Gina, my husband and I went to the back yard and discussed options. After looking at our deck, we realized the small dog run that she had given me a price for over the phone wouldn’t work so she worked up the price for a larger area. My husband suggested getting a price for the entire yard. My husband and I waited by the deck while Gina measured. That was my mistake. I assumed that Gina was measuring out from the house all the way to the woods at the back of our house and back down and around to the other side of the house. We went into the house and Gina gave us the proposal. Gina made the point that if we ever sold the house an entire fence would be much more appealing to a potential buyer than a dog run that went around our deck. We told her we would give her our decision the next day. We decided to fence the larger area and I immediately gave her my credit card so she could charge the required 50% deposit. She told us they were very busy and it would be several weeks. During that course of time, we did have second thoughts and Gina did agree to not charge my credit card which she certainly had the right to do. I think if we didn’t have to wait so many weeks the issue with my nerves wouldn’t have come up but they only have 3 installers (and they need at least 2 installers for each job) so if you want them you do have to wait. After studying the proposal, I began to have questions. I called Gina and learned that she had measured flush with our house. In other words, there was 5ft of our property on the right side that is not fenced and 10ft on the left side and I realized the fence wasn’t going to reach the woods. It was also 5ft short. What she had done was simply measure 60ft up, across and down. I still don’t understand why she would have measured in this manner but her reply was that my husband and I were out there assuming I suppose that we should have been watching her. Knowing that adding more fencing was going to increase the price my husband and I decided to go along with the sides but my husband wasn’t going to cut grass between the fence and the woods so we needed Gina to come back out and re-measure and give us the new proposal. We also let our neighbors know that we were putting up something of an unconventional fence and we would continue to maintain the grass outside the fence. On the morning Gina came to re-measure, I answered the door promptly. As I went to step out, I turned to make sure the puppy wasn’t following me and she said “I’m in a hurry. I have four other appointments.” I definitely felt she was unhappy she had to return but the contract as it was currently written wasn’t acceptable. I had offered to simply have the installers add the additional fencing on the day of installation so she didn’t have to come back out but she refused that option. Then, after being so rushed, she stopped to pet our neighbor’s dogs and even claimed she would like to take them when I told her they were outside dogs and only brought inside in severe weather. I had to wonder why her other four appointments suddenly weren’t so important because she could take the time to pet the dogs. I didn't feel like a valued customer. However, I was confident about where the fence would be because she brought spray paint. That relieved my worries about the location. The other thing that bothered her was I do not have a printer so she could e-mail me quotes, proposals etc. but I couldn’t print the contract. On the last day of installation, Wes gave me a copy of the contract which I thought was fine. When I opened my e-mails that evening, I had an e-mail from Gina saying that she was sending the contract with Wes because she wasn’t inclined to spend money on the stamps. I would have been happy to give her the 4 or 5 stamps our job cost her company. That was just a petty, unnecessary remark. We had had the unfortunate misunderstanding about the staining but I was never rude to Gina and I thanked Wes for the excellent job done by him and his assistant.

Wes and I would like to thank you again for your business. We do not feel that being a divorced couple working together has anything to do with the quality of our work and our professional work ethics. In my presentation portfolio and on our web site we do not show any Kentucky Board fences that sre stained. We do offer the service of staining fences however that discussed with you before your fence was installed. We are happy to hear that your are pleased with the quality of the installation. Thanks again.

Gina, the owner, returned my calls promptly and emailed me an estimate the day after we met. However, when she came to the house she seemed to be in a hurry. She did a quick measurement of the yard (with not enough care, it seemed to me) and left me a brochure. She had a relative waiting in her car and didn't take much time with me. I decided to go with Eads Fence Company. I think Eads does most of the fencing in my subdivision and the price was a bit less. Also, the Eads salesperson spent a lot of time with me and seemed eager for my business.

I appologize that you felt I was in a hurry. I was in no hurry and made the appointment with you in hopes of doing business with you. I walked the installation site with you taking the measurements of the fence layout you requested, showed a sample of the product and presented you with the brochure. Also as you mentioned I promptly sent the proposal. I am in question of what was unprofessional? Also, I am sorry that you were apparently offended that my 89 year old father spends his days riding with me to my appointments. It brings us both alot of pleasure to spend that time together.

It was an overall excellent experience which I expected as I had another smaller fence installed by them last year. I called and made an appointment with Gina, and she came out and walked the area with me and my new puppy and discussed what I wanted. She emailed me an estimate within two days which I accepted. I mailed 1/2 of the amount with a signed contract, and they came out about one week later to do the work. It took three days (which I expected), and Wesley and his crew of Justin and James were wonderful to work with. I honestly cannot say enough good things about them.
Description of Work: The Fence Co. tore down and hauled away approximately 335 feet and a double gate of an old, existing split rail fence, removed brush and small tree limbs that were in the way, and installed 335 feet of new split rail fence with a double gate. They hauled away the old fencing and put the brush and limbs in an area that I asked them to.

They sent out one guy named Wesley, who got sick from the heat on Wednesday, and they came back out of Friday and got it done by 7 that evening. When they left, they knew I was upset because the fence was 6' short of covering the chain link fence. They told me that it was my problem, and that I ordered 92', and that's what they installed. They said that they could have it ordered on Monday, and it would take several weeks to arrive. I gave Wesley a check for $2,000, 2/3 of the cost, which I thought was fair because I thought she would be reasonable with me and rectify the problem. I know nothing about measuring for fences, and I assumed that when she measured, she was competent enough to cover the existing chain link fence. I was perturbed by the length of the fence at first, but then, afterwords, I did some investigating and found that the fence was not installed up to warranty regulations per the manufacturer, and there is no concrete base. The fence is beautiful, we like it, but we want it to be installed properly. We simply don't want it to be damaged by wind or other storm damage. We called the manufacturer who told us the warranty would be void if the installation was not done properly. I talked to Paul Smith about this. All we want is the fence to be installed according to industry standards. From there, I will be happy to pay the rest of my debt to the Fence Co. I also want the additional six feet to be proportionately priced and cover the existing chain link fence that is uncovered, which is what I was under the assumption was covered in the 92'.

I was contracted by her to install 93' of 72' Illusions Beige Vinyl Fence Style #456008. Unfortunately, I went against my own company policy and sent my installer Wesley out to the job without receiving a signed contract and deposit in advance. She requested the work be completed by August 7, as she was having a party. She contacted me via email and assured me that the contract and deposit were in the mail. She was out of town and was not returning until late the night before we were do to arrive. Needless to say, the contract and check did not arrive. I was hoping she was a lady with integrity and sent the crew out. We completed the installation according to the contract with the post set with cement. The installation was done according industry standard with no void in warranty issues on April 6, 2010. She called that morning and was very complimentary regarding the fence and the installer. She called me again that afternoon and said she would need to purchase the installation of an additional section of fence and post. I told her that would be $400.00 and that we could come out the next week, not several weeks later. She approved that price. The installation was finished shortly after that call and Wes was collecting the amount due upon completion of the installation on our contract with her. She gave him a check for $2000.00 and said she was going to teach his boss a lesson for trying to gouge her for additional fencing. For the record, a few days later she put a stop payment on the $2000.00 check. My attorney has since filed for a mechanic lien and a suit in small claims court to collect the $2900.00 and legal fees. Please review the letter she sent to the BBB as her story continues to change. I am considering filing a suit for defamation of character as we work very hard to provide honest professional service to all of our customers.
