Description of Work: I paid $100 for something that I could have gotten for free. They don't charge homeowners for a basement inspection, only real estate agents or home inspectors. I couldn't apply the $750 towards any repairs either, because I wasn't having a sump pump repaired. I feel taken and I totally paid $100 for nothing in return.

Description of Work: Clean and respectful of house but work was very sloppy and resolutions were weak or non existent.

Description of Work: We called the Basement Doctor due to a cracked basement window and recent water that had come through the walls. They recommended glass block windows and a new sump pump. The window work was performed by a subcontractor and they did a very nice job!! The Basement Doctor's technicians replaced the sump pump a few weeks later and also were very thorough in their work. We would use them again and appreciate the guidance they provided.

Description of Work: I was very impressed with their service. No one likes to have foundation issues, but they took care of it expertly and professionally and alleviated the concerns I had about the foundation with their work.

Description of Work: They provided an estimate and installed a waterproofing system to solve leaks in the basement walls and floor. The work was done efficiently in less than 3 days and has resolved our water problems (it has rained heavily several times since it was completed). There was a minor problem with the plumbing when they reinstalled the laundry sink, but they came promptly to repair the problem. We are very satisfied with the service and results the Basement Doctor provided.

Description of Work: I had this work done some time ago and thought I had already submitted a review then but I keep getting asked so here it goes. I had them install a perimeter drain due to water issues coming in to the basement. I had 2 other basement providers all make suggestions but none addressed the water issue coming in to the basement, they just wanted to put something in side the house to pump out water. They installed the drain, and put in a very deep dry well that when full would channel the water to the curb. Since then, never had a single issue with water even in downpours. Now we can sleep at night not having to worry about water in the basement. I'd use these guys in a heartbeat and have recommended them to many of my friends.

Description of Work: Our basement wall had developed a crack that basically ran the length of the wall, and had worsened after the exceptionally cold winter of 2014 - we were suspect a deeper frost line increased the outside wall pressure - and we could get the tip of our pinky finger inserted into the crack at the worst spot. I received bids on addressing the job from companies through Angie's List, and The Basement Doctor came in with the best price, while offering to perform the same level of work prescribed by the other companies. |I can't say enough about how professional these folks are. The job was to install carbon fiber strapping along the length of the wall, and secure the straps with additional anchors where the house met the foundation wall. The work crew arrived promptly on our scheduled date, and immediately began protection measures of our home - starting from the outside and running to the actual work site. The job is a very messy/dust-creating job as a great deal of sanding of the concrete wall and cutting of drywall is required. The crew had the work area draped off with heavy plastic to contain the mess, and additionally protected items in the vicinity of the project with additional covering. Except for the missing pieces of dry-wall that had to be cut out to access the foundation wall, you'd never know we had that level of work performed in the basement in a 5-6 hour period. They left the area exceptionally clean, and we're very pleased with the look and guarantee offered with the job. |I would recommend these folks to anyone needing to address foundation structure failure, and we plan on having them back to correct some outside concrete drive/walkway work that is showing signs of sinking. |The Basement Doctor is going to the top of my "go-to" list of companies I trust to do a great job at a great price.
