Ted Davis

Ted did an excellent job with this repair. Specifically: - he quickly returned my initial call to set up a time to give me an estimate - he was on time when he came to provide the estimate - he was honest about what he would do and the cost - he was able to match the paint so we couldn't tell where the repair was made - his final cost was exactly what he estimated Overall, Ted was professional, courteous, and honest throughout the entire job. I will definately use Ted Davis Painting in the future for my painting needs.

Price was good. Per friends painter was thorough and reputable. Painter gave estimate in June, 2011, but did not perform work until 10/11. Painter appeared to do v good job. He applied two coats primer and finish coat to box gutters after sanding and cleaning. Painter was finished in about three days. Finished work appeared to be v good. Painter gave in writing a three year warranty. In September, 2012 I noticed on the front gutter some peeling and cracking of the paint. Thinking this was an isolated case I sanded and applied some paint. I informed the painter who responded to let him know if there were further problems. In October, 2012, when I cleaned the gutters, I notices numerous places were the paint was peeling and/or cracking. I again notified the painter. In November, 2012, the painter stated he would stop and look at the problems when the weather was good. I did not bother the painter further due to the winter season and the holidays. On March 23, 2013, the painter inspeacted the gutters and agreed there was a problem. I asked that he repaint the peeling sections of the gutters and he agreed. I told him any time was good for me except the first week in May when I would be gone. he agreed. I did not hear from him so I contacted him again. I did not get a response. I then phoned him in early June and he said he was v busy but would get to me. He told me he would be out either June 20 or June 21. I canceled an out of town trip to be home when he came. He did not show by 10:00 a.m. on June 21. When I phoned him, he stated he would not be out today. When I asked when he would be out, he stated tomorrow, Saturday, June 22, 2013. He stated he would be there by 9:00 a.m. He did come out all day Saturday, 6/22 and Sunday, 6/23. He sanded, and repainted the peeling sections. Although there communication issues during the past 5 months, in the end the painter kept his word and fixed the problem. He explained the problem was not his paint job, but the many layers of paint on the box gutters which were causing the cracking and peeling. While I understand his explanation I am not totally certain that I agree totally. Regardless, I respect his work ethic, integrity, and response although delayed. Would I use him again, yes but not for my box gutters. I probably will have him bid on painting my house next year. he has an excellent reputation from my friend.
