They're always outstanding. He replaced my HVAC maybe 5 years ago and it's run really well since then. He does his service periodically. I can always count on him. I would use him again every time.

Upon initial inspection, it seemed a new fan was needed. However, rather than going away to order a new fan for later installation, the tech investigated further and determined the noise was from fan rubbing against a (now dead) bird. Bird removed ... fan spins at proper speed... and without noise. PROBLEM SOLVED in one visit, no need for a new fan .... service call at minimal expense. GREAT, HONEST WORK.

They have not had to come out since. They do good too, always done a nice job, given us breaks where we were such frequent customers over the years.

I called him on 11/21/13 asking the cost to replace the draft induction motor. He called me back and said that the total cost, parts and labor would be $420. He said he could come by the next day, and would call me in the morning with a time. He did, and all went well. The only reason I did not give an A for Quality in the rating is because he was going to come back the next day or so to replace a spring clamp on the combustion drain that is leaking and has not come back yet. This is a non-performance issue.

Came the first time for diagnosis and quick repair of one of the two leaks. Came back exactly as scheduled to repair the second. All went well and quickly.

We had a noise in the furnace and had another furnace company come out and they wanted to replace the formats. However, Darrin from Rick Ogden Heating & Cooling came out and he found a dead mouse in the furnace. He took the mouse out and the furnace was fine. He also checked and cleaned the air conditioner and said there is nothing wrong with it.

I had a great experience with Rick and his crew. I got quotes from most all of the top rated Angies list HVAC contractors and had a pretty good idea of the issues related to replacing my system. Rick was very knowledgeble about all the issues raised by other contractors. Rick did a heat load calculation, which many of the contractors did not do. This is critical because getting the right size equipment helps ensure comfort levels and system durability. Rick sells Comfortmaker brand equipment, which is just re-branded Carrier. Carrier purchased ICP (International Comfort Products) which sells the Comfortmaker brand, and has since assimilated the product lines. If you compare specs line by line for the different products you will see that they are essentially identical with the exception of the top of the line equipment from Carrier which has some more sophisticated electronic controls. Rick's son Darrin and another technician Zach do most of the installtion work. They are both very courteous and did a great job installing my equipment. I had them replace all of the AC lines (copper pipes) and re-configure some of the ductwork around the furnace to better accomodate filters. I was extremely happy with the packaging and finished look of the system. The Comfortmaker products are very well made, not cheap builder grade equipment. Their consumer website ( http://www.comfortmaker.com/) is outdated and not very helpful, but the contractor website ( http://www.gocomfortmaker.com/go/index.asp) has all the information you could ask for if you're a detail oriented consumer. I recommend checking out equipment details if you're particular about certain features. I had a "G9MVE" furnace installed which includes the following: - 96% efficiency - Lifetime heat exchanger warranty - 10 year no hassle replacement warranty - Two stage heat - Variable speed blower I had a "CXA6" air condition installed which includes the following: - 16 SEER - "ENA4X" heat exchanger - 5 Year no hassle replacement warranty

Called Sunday on the non-emergency line because our AC was not cooling. Received a call from Rick at 8am Monday morning with a technician here by 9:15am. Technician was professional and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the AC.

I spoke to Rick on a Thursday explaining that I was ready to purchase a new air conditioner as it was no longer working. He went to look at it that day and had his crew installing the new one that Saturday morning. Another company I had called for a quote earlier that week set an appointment for the following week to discuss. Rick is always great to work with. This time he was a lifesaver as we had a birthday party for one of my kids at the house that Saturday.

The AC went out on Saturday and we left a non-emergency message with the provider. Repairman Darrin called first thing Monday morning and came out that same day to do the repair. He fixed the motor and a fan blade, and installed a hard starter on the compressor to help the unit start up more easily. He was professional and thorough. I would recommend this company and use them again.

We called in the morning, he was there by noon. He did an excellent job, and we will use his company again.

They were able to come over the same day fix the problem and did not try to upsell us. They were honest and fixed what needed to be fixed.

AC was not working. Called the office number and was sent to voicemail. The VM gave me a pager number to call. I called and got an immediate call back from Rick Ogden. He came within 2 hours and replaced a capacitor that had gone bad. We used him last year for the same part. It was within the warranty period so the part was no charge today. I will use them again in the future and like to support family owned businesses that do good quality work. Thanks!

He came on a short notice and was efficient. He found the problem very quickly and he was nice to talk to. It was kind of embarrassing we forgot to turn a fuse back on after we installed a garbage disposal.
