They don't always give the right answer; we have to follow up with somebody else, or they need to consult a secondary source or something for the issue. It takes them just about a half an hour. I like the guys they're twin brothers.

Just as usual, Ray arrives and makes the repair in a timely manner and explains everything to us for our own knowledge. Honestly, I am writing this review because I also read and rely on reviews for repair sevice. We have used Patterson plumbing for many years and I just feel very grateful to have such a great plumber. I highly recommend their service and we have referred them to many people. + -1 moreOur family has been using them for 50 years, my husbands mom and dad and then when we moved back to the area we started using them. It looks like a big mole goes through your yard. It went from the street, around the tree and into the side of our house. That was a big one. They were excellent. They got it done. They are very professional, get in and get it done. I have always been pleased with their service, they are great.

+ 2 moreThe Pattersons are EXCEPTIONAL!!! I have used them for over 15 years. They have addressed almost all my plumbing issues. They have replaced my water heater, inspected a new home purchase - completely, replaced backup sump pumps, removed and fixed toilets, you name it I trust them to do it. They are TOTALLY TRUSTWORTHY, never talk down to a woman, never overcharge, always tell me how to do things reasonably, and respond to any emergency! I actually go to them for recommendations for other maintenance items. All their work is done efficiently and cleanup is perfect. I have used both Ron and Ray and could not recommend anyone higher. They have cleaned up plumbing problems that were done poorly under a home warranty that forced me to use another plumbing group. Simply put: HONEST! TRUSTWORTHY! FABULOUS!

+ 0 moreMy nominations for "Serviceman of the Decade"--Ron Patterson! We returned home on a Sunday from several weeks away to find our basement laundry area flooded--the hot water heater had leaked all the water out. After the mess was cleaned up, we called Patterson Plumbing and left a message. On Monday morning, Ron showed up, and diagnosed the problem. The tank was full of lime from our very hard Loveland water and had to be replaced. He gave me two options, and I picked the longer warranty (although it would cost more and take another day to get the heater) because I felt it would be more energy efficient and had a better chance of outliving the warranty by a couple years. The next morning Ron replaced the old heater along with a small safety tank (mandatory) , cleaned up the area, and then checked out a couple other problems (shower not working, but now it did) and a horrible noise in the disposal. He persisted with the disposal and finally located a tiny screw that had fallen down into the unit. He removed the screw and the disposal worked beautifully. He also discussed a problem I was having with the dishwasher (a solid film was being left on the glasses) as being due to the lime build-up in the hot water heater and said it should be OK now (he was right!). It's great to know Patterson Plumbing is there when you need them!
Description of Work: Our hot water heater was replaced along with a small holding tank. He also removed the old tank from the premises. The downstairs shower wasn't working--he checked the shower to see why it wasn't working. He said it was because the hot water was turned off at the tank and it would work again when the new tank was online (he was right). The disposal wasn't working and was making a terrible grinding noise. He found a tiny screw had dropped into the disposal and he extracted it, fixing the problem. The dishwasher had been leaving a very hard, crusty film on the dishes. He checked the dishwasher, said it was working properly, and that it was from the lime in the hot water and would be OK once the heater was replaced. It was.

Description of Work: About a year ago we contacted them for a drain cleanout. They came and everything seemed fine. I had used them in the past and I was really happy. Small town, hometown family run business. I loved supporting them. Referred to a friend and it took them days to respond to her. She was not impressed. Next contact was made this past January 2011 for a hot water heater. It was an emergency situation as we had NO hot water. Three days and three calls left on their voicemail (the only way to contact them) and we have yet to hear back. No return call whatsoever. I thought I was a regular and appreciated customer. What happened? I had always paid on time etc. Then this month, March 2011, I contacted them again to clean out our drain off (rental property). After 2 days they called back and referred me to the sewer district. Sewer district came and referred me back to a plumber. So, one week later and after all of this back and forth, we find out from a new plumber that the pipe is broken and sewage had been leaking into the yard. It's going to run us about $2500 for repair and clean-up. I tried to be patient and appreciate the fact they are a local family run business, but clearly, they do not need my business. I am not so sure they accurately diagnosed the problem the first few times they came and cleaned it out. I won't use them anymore. Time to move on.
