Paramount Lawn + Landscape Services

We had to have them come back to re-do the front retaining wall because we weren’t happy with some of the stones and the way they had pieced some of the pieces together. Also, the side, we weren’t happy with the step and they were really responsive and fixed it to our specifications. They were friendly and nice. They gave us an estimate and they worked around our schedule to get the work done.

They were incredible. They were just wonderful. We were very pleased.

They have been great. They are reliable I think it’s a reasonable price.

It’s been fine. The service is adequate.

It was ok. We changed services because last year, they changed the guy that applied the treatments out here and we felt like we didn’t have any personal contact with anyone. The lawn looked like they weren't interested in detail. In the years before, they were pretty good because we had personal care. After last year we chose to go with someone else.

I couldn't be more pleased with Paramount's timing, professionalism, and the final product! They got here a few minutes before 9am and started right away. One guy started on the landscape lighting (which they have an awesome LED lighting portfolio on their website), while the other two guys worked around my yard cleaning up debris and touched up on my mulch beds. I remember looking out to see the progress around 12pm and noticed how neat and organized they all were. Needless to say, they finished by 2pm (keep in mind I have 2 acres and 4 good size mulch beds all over my yard). Chris, came to my door, gave me a quick run down of what they did and showed me how the moonlighting in my tree would look. My mulch beds look 10x better now and the lighting, I just couldn't wait to check it out! And by 6pm ALL lights were on in front and back of my house. It all looked absolutely beautiful! I give Paramount an "A" for making me happy I went with no one else but the best in town. Thank you Paramount Lawn and Landscape! ***They also installed a sprinkler system in my mulch beds 6 years ago. Haven't had one issue with that either***

Paramount installed a new sprinkler system and did an awesome job!! They left "NO" marks in the yard, you couldn't even tell they were there. The guys went over everything with me before leaving. My system is locked into a satellite system which tells it when to water the yard and how much water it needs, cool stuff!! I now have the best and greenest yard in the neighborhood. I've been standing in my yard on the weekends with my chest puffed out! GREAT JOB PARAMOUNT LANDSCAPING!

I got three quotes for this job, and Paramount was the middle price. The salesman was friendly, and knowledgable. He asked me many questions and made certain that we were on the same page. I really did appreciate the high level of communication. That was key. The job started on time, and was finished early. I liked that. The crew of three were very professional, and curteous, and very skilled. They were very detail oriented. This job required the use of a BobCat to position the 14 stones. A few of them were 1,000 pounds! They were careful not to cut or damage the underground cable wires! It simply looks amazing, like a project that you would see in a magazine, or on HGTV "Curb Appeal" show! This is not the only work that Paramount has performed for me. I also get injection root feeding for my tree's, and I'm on a year-round program. I live in Torrey Place, and their MIGHT be one other house in the entire neighborhood that has a thicker greener lawn than me, but the rest of the lawns do not compare to mine. My grass is greener LOL!

Paramount was servicing my neighbor's lawn, when I asked if they could start on mine, which, due to last summer's dry conditions, weeds were flourishing, and had started to become more than I could control myself. A quick call was made to their office by the lawn technician, who then immediately applied treatment, and I signed up for treatments for the rest of the year. I was very pleased with everything. My lawn started out with bare spots, had been overrun with weeds, and within a couple of weeks weeds were gone completely, and soon grass was replacing bare spots. The lawn was also now a nice even green color instead of the yellowish green it was before they started treatments. I was very pleased overall with the service. Signs were posted after each application, and I was left a statement showing what treatments were done after each one.

I found Paramount through www.retainingwallexpert.com. I received quotes from Paramount and 3 other companies, and found their prices were about average. I chose them because I liked that Terry was responsive and because they referred me to a local engineer to consult regarding my sloped yard. Terry also provided a nice visual graphic, which helped us confirm the desired design. During the course of the project, I developed several concerns about the quality of their work, most of which can be attributed to too much improvisation without enough planning. First, the engineer made a somewhat unusual recommendation for the gravel foundation, but Paramount was skeptical to implement it and they ended up improvising with a plan that was in between the engineer's recommendation and their standard methods. Unfortunately, they did not adapt the drainage pipe for the modified foundation, which resulted in water eroding foundation dirt during the first rainstorm. After first denying there was a problem, they eventually tried to fix it, but the final solution was somewhat rigged and will never be as good as a properly installed drain pipe. In other examples of poor improvisation... they had to redo a couple sections of wall which were not located where I had marked, and they did not carefully follow Allan Block's recommended installation techniques for block pattern, layers of Geogrid reinforcement, compaction behind the wall, and of course drainage. The final product looks good, but I am left uncertain of its longevity due to the above reasons. On a more positive note... Terry was responsive throughout the project and visited several times to hear my concerns. His 3 man crew worked very hard every day for two weeks, and willingly corrected any problems I was there to spot. Though they didn't always follow Allan Block's guidelines, the crew chief did have his own technique which he meticulously implemented to ensure the wall was level and aesthetically pleasing. I ultimately concluded that this is company has good intentions but their technical competence was questionable. I might hire them again for a basic project, but not for anything critical that requires careful planning and execution.

Was quoted a start date, which came and went. Called and requested someone call me back to discuss. Not only did it take multiple calls from me, including a call to the owner himself, to receive a response, but when I did I was told the larger jobs they had were just taking longer than expected. (Apparently the few thousand dollars I was spending with the company wasn't enough to make my job any kind of priority - even just a return call) The landscaping looked decent upon completion, but its easy to tell already that they skimped on mulch, and the trimming and edging was performed more and more poorly each time they arrived. I will not use the company again, and would not recommend them. My contract with Paramount is complete, and I've already hired another company who has been a delight to work with.

The job turned out fantastic. They were fast and good at what they did. They had work ethics. They listened to me and we negotiated back and forth between their expertise and what I wanted. We would be hiring them back again for some work.

The problem with them was they didn't handle the situation very well. They had five people close together on the street and they sent just one man in the end. The reason I was dissatisfied because they just sent one man to cut off the five lawns. He was still cutting my lawn at 6'o clock in the night, disturbing me from my dinner. I didn't like the way; they were doing the edging toward the end either.

Great consultation, they didn't try to get us to do more work than we really needed. The price was awesome, so much better than the other places I called. The edging wasn't always great, but they fixed everything that we pointed out. Very nice people and easy to work with.

They do a fine job. They are reliable. They come out 3 or 4 times in a month. They remove the debris if there is any. They clean up after themselves. They come when I am not at home so I haven’t had a lot of interaction with them. I have always been happy with their job.

They contract people and are never the same people who come out to do the lawn work. The quality of their work is bad. They did not listen when I gave them instructions not to cover up the access to my sprinkler system and I had to call them up again to do it again. They have also run over one of my bushes in my back yard with a lawn mower. They are also not punctual and don’t show up on time. My lawn looks terrible and is almost dead.

The work they did was fine but we continually had billing issues.

They are local, did a good job, and we plan to use them again.

They are reliable and the lawn looks great.

They did what they said regarding treating my lawn and it turned out really good. I also set up lawn mowing through them, but they subcontracted the work out to another company. They didn't do what I asked them to do and I wasn't pleased with that work overall. I would use them again for lawn treatments.

I think everything was fine. We did have some mechanical problems and they did have to come out three or four times to get things right. But they always did come. I m not too sure about the quality of the materials they used. I had problems with the sprinklers, the control panel and the sensors. But everything is working fine now. They responded quickly with no additional charge. They were great and friendly. I just think they needed to check into the material they were using. I will continue to use there service.

My only regret is that we didn't have an HGTV film crew do a segment for television on the curb appeal before and after! It really looks amazing, and the price was very fair. The Paramount people were very friendly, and took pride in their work. The project took three days to complete, and the job-site was clean and clear of debris. I didn't feel confident about the quotes that I got from two other companies. I just knew that I could trust Paramount from start to finish.

It went great. Estimate was clear and understandable, work was done quickly, no issues.

It's been over a year and I still get people stopping by my house saying how nice the landscaping looks. I went from an average yard on the street to by far the best looking yard on the street. In the beginning I had an idea of what I wanted, upon sharing that with my paramount designer they returned with a site plan and renderings of what the finished product would look like. After a few modifications we started construction. The work took a few weeks, but Paramount moved quickly and kept disturbances to a minimum.

Excellent. There where no issues and the system works great.
