Outdoor Design provided exceptional customer service before, during and after the project was completed. Mr. Beck assisted us in creating a simple, functional deck plan for our lifestyle. Outdoor Design built for us a 16 X 22 ft. deck, and it is absolutely beautiful; and it was built with care, quality, and attention to detail. The lead carpenter on our project was Ron and he answered all of our questions, updated us on the project status daily, and educated us on the proper methods to care for our investment. Thank you so much for work you did for us; we have received several compliments from neighbors and visitors on how beautiful our deck is.

Responsive, reasonably priced and high quality work. Had a measurement wrong but fixed the error quickly. We love the new deck, it's much better than the old one. Easy to work with deck company.

This is the second deck that Outdoor Design has built for us. Once again we are very pleased with the service. Workers are highly professional and skilled. If you need a new deck you should consider this company there is a reason they have high scores on this list!

Outdoor Design found the job to not be the size job they would normally do, so they had their lead carpenter Rob Palmer to install to do the job. He installed steps and hand rail leading from the garage to the house. What made this job special was they had to be steps for my handicapped Mother-in-law. She has had a stroke and found it difficult to climb the steps to get into her home. He installed oversized steps that would allow her to easily navigate the steps. We told them that we needed the job completed quickly and they showed up the next day to complete it. And did a great job!!!!!!

Very well. The contractor got the permits and finished the work (after inspection) in one day. Work appears to be well done.

We obtained 4 quotes for the work. Outdoor Design was 2nd highest in value. But as the saying goes "Cheap can be awfully expensive." During the past 3 years we have remodeled our basement, added a 3 season room, exterior lighting and had extensive landscaping done to our home. With all of the different contractors we have dealt with Outdoor Design are by far the best! They set the original schedule per our agreement but then were able to come a week earlier. Once on site the craftsmen showed up at the beginning of the day and worked a full day cleaning up before leaving each night. They remained focused on the job and completed it much earlier than I expected but in line with their estimates. The group as a whole was excellent to deal with. Praise from this household does not come easy...see my pointed observations about the lighting and landscape contractors. Silly us... we expected them to perform like Outdoor Design. Thanks to Dottie, Bob and crew for taking care of us.

The work was completed as planned and on time. We are extremely pleased with the personal touch provided by Bob and Dottie and the high quality of the work. We have recommended them to our daughter and son-in-law and other neighbors.

They responded promptly to my request for an estimate and answered all questions. They were able to get to the work earlier than expected but checked with me to be sure this was OK. The work itself was excellently done; very professional and competent. The workmen were courteous and helpful and did a fine job of cleaning up afterwards.

The Outdoor Design group worked well as a company. From Dottie who was delightful for the first contact and scheduling the sales call, to Bob the salesman and Doug the crew foreman, all took pride in their job and the results warrant the pride. They considered my design concepts and worked with me to develop a workable plan that passed the township's requirements. They arrived on time and completed the work within their stated timeframe. The final result demonstrates quality that has been noticed by neighbor and guests. Overall, a great experience.

Bob Beck was OK while giving estimate, reasonably friendly and courteous. After job was done, we realized that wood was cracked and of poor quality, many ugly knobs in awkward places, weakening railing posts and handrail. Two different types of railing had been used, one for the deck but for the stairs, the old type railing which we did not want or like had been used again. Many boards used for the deck and steps instantly cracked in several places. The handrail was not sanded, with huge amounts of splinters sticking out. Deck&stairs look unfinished, unattractive. We called several times to point this out, Mr. Beck came out, and was very upset at our concerns, used strong language, and yelled at us. Finally agreed to replacing 2 of the worst cracked boards only, but absolutely refused to address any other of our concerns - calling us ''picky''. A few days later 2 boards were replaced by Mr. Beck Jr. , and some sanding was done. We will hire another contractor to fix the rest.

Outdoor Design did an excellent job and everything worked out perfectly. The company responded immediately to my request for a estimate and visited the site within a few days. I was given the estimate the same day as the visit. The price was competitive, but the responsiveness is what impressed me. The work crew also did an excellent job. They showed up when scheduled, worked efficiently, and the deck was built in the time frame they stated. The landscape company had started earlier than planned requiring Outdoor Design to adjust their schedules, which they did to accommodate the rest of the project. The crew stayed out of the new landscaping as much as possible and left everything in great shape. The Outdoor Design crew returned to the project after an aluminum fence was added to adjust the deck railing to meet the fence line, which was done promptly and without issue. I would highly recommend Outdoor Design for any deck projects!!!

Bob was prompt with his estimate, others took several days. He was also patient with us as we took a long time to make up our minds. We originally had a quote to rebuild 2 decks but changed our minds to only one deck to see how well of a job they did. The workers did an excellent job and my husband and I are very happy with our new deck. High quality deck for a reasonable price. Very friendly staff and hardworking during the cold weather. I will definitely have this company build our other deck.

Bob quoted to the project to buy and build material. They purchased material that going out of stock (..no longer manufactured). The material had starches and color defect. Also the nail gun they used had was set too strong and cause issues in the nails. I notified Outdoor Design they indicated they would take care of it. After many months, I got a letter from the manufacturer of the material, they indicated the in the material DID have material Defects!! And I would get material credit, ONLY (Approximately $1,700). As for the issues with they Nail gun being too strong....Dottie informed me that would be corrected when we PAID somebody to replace the defective material!!!

The company was very responsive to our request for an estimate and Bob even came over on a Saturday right after returning from vacation. He was very nice and seemed very experienced, but he had difficulty understanding what we wanted. We were unsure of an exact type of design and had trouble expressing our design ideas, but Bob was not able to offer many new ideas. We were looking for something exciting and creative, so were not enthused by the proposal. We also hoped to get a precise design, preferably done by computer, but only got to see a rough, hand drawing which was not satisfactory.

Company started when promised and stayed on the job until it was completed;did not jump from job to job. Workmanship was topnotch, accurate and skillfull, especially considering this was a custom job. Work area was always cleaned up at end of each day. Work crew was courteous and polite. All workers took pride in the job they were doing.

First of all I'd like to say these are the absolute "NICEST" group of people that you will ever work with. From Dottie showing understanding in when we wanted the deck built. Bob coming out and personally showing up to inspect the quality of workmanship of his men, to Rob making sure every detail was perfect. (I still don't think I have seen a line of nails that straight in my life!) They did an incredible job, built the deck exactly as we had agreed upon, and VERY hard workers. These guys are perfectionists! Rob and Billy had real ownership and pride in the deck, and they wanted to make sure we got everything we wanted. Even put some finishing touches that were not expected. These guys are "A" grade all the way.

Rob and Billy were very prompt, and very good at what they do. They took the time to explain to me all the steps, and went above and beyond on the quality.

Everyone was very helpful, to include Bob who walked us through all of the options for our deck, and guided us on decisions that ended up saving us 100's if not 1000's of dollars. Customer service was great, they were very busy but still kept us informed of every step. They walked through all the steps for the necessary permits and inspections--so we were sure the deck was approved and no issues would come up.

Bob was wonderful to work with, he was attentive to what I wanted and bent over backwards. I have a friend of the family who will be able to perform work for me, however, I would recommend Bob to anyone who asked.

We were extremely pleased with Bob and his great team. We felt the price was totally in line with what was done. Doug checked on the project before, making sure of everything we wanted versus what was on paper. At that point we were able to make some changes. Rob and Billy were always cordial, friendly, and wanted to make sure things were right. They were also very good about keeping the gate shut so our dogs could go in and out. The finished project is beyond our expectations and we definitely would hire them again!

They did a fantastic job for us. They did everything very well. It's always difficult to come in and repair someone else's bad work, but they did such a great job.

Very easy to work with & very responsive. Worked hard, on time, trustworthy & solved problems we had with structure. Reasonably priced.
