Oasis Turf & Tree

This is our third year with Oasis. They are a good company. They alert you before they come and they do a good job when they come. We like that they have more organic choices and not just chemicals. However, given our preference for non-chemical use we are surprised every year when Jeff tries to sell us on spraying for mosquitos. Because we get basic lawn services we feel Oasis tries every year to expand the services with grub control, overseeding, aeration or mosquito spraying all of which are more expensive services and ones we either do not require or do not require every year. There is never heavy pressure to purchase and Jeff is fairly low key. The company is responsive and professional. They check in from time to time throughout the year and the office staff is very friendly. By the way our lawn really does look better than when we did it ourselves! That is the best testimony.

Very poor quality job done for something that should be so simple. Did not aerate the back yard at all and would not have fertilized either had I not been home at the time to direct them to do so.

We will continue to use them.

One problem: Their aeration equipment was heavy and created ruts in our back yard on the bank that leads into a swail. I told them that I only wanted them to treat the front yard; but they would not reduce the aeration charges which I thought was unreasonable. They said we had to pay the minimum charge and would not reduce it.

In addition to regular lawn treatmnet, they do misquito treatment on our trees and shrubs.

They are very friendly and easy to work with. They don't hassle you. They do their job and leave the bill when they are done. They just show up and do the job.

I had them before; my next door neighbor and I used to share them but I switched to another company but am thinking about going back to Oasis. I may use them again in the future.

The service is good. My lawn for the most part was very green. They however are far from my home and I feel rather cater to a much higher income residence than mine. It was obvious that I was always last on the list to get finished. My initial spring service never happened until at least two weeks later than it should, meaning I always had crab grass. I set up automatic pay with them and it was always a mess getting the bugs worked out. They are simply over priced for the service and individual care they had for me as a paying customer.

We have been using them for about four years. We use them on a regular basis. They come out about five times a year. They are good in the sense that they come out on a regular basis. If we have a problem we can call them and they would come out and assess things. They are the best so far among a zillion lawn companies that we have gone through, but I won’t say they do a perfect job. Their price is a little high, but then we have used all these other companies and we don't use them anymore because they're not good. Oasis Turf & Tree are worth the high price, and we like them.

TERRIBLE!! I called Oasis, along with several other companies for an estimate to fertilize and provide weed control. I traded numerous voice mails with this office - they say they are open in the evening, but their phone turns over to voice mail at 5:00. In one voice mail I received, I was told my lawn was on the schedule and I would receive a bill in the mail. I hadn't even met with anyone! They had the nerve and bad business sense to assume I would just automatically want their services without ever speaking to someone or receiving an estimate. I was shocked and spent the better part of my lunch hour speaking to the front desk and salesman about this. My experience was terrible and I would definitely NOT recommend them.

The only thing I struggle with them is they send next years bill and annual contract like in Nov - Dec. It is too far away from actual service. It would be nice to receive in Feb - Mar when it is closer to the actual service date and we are ready to make a decision.

The bill is over $1,000 for the year but that is for everything; I got a discount for paying early. We had a different company for years but we weren’t seeing a big difference in our lawn so we tried Oasis. They came out with a good price so we’ve been using them for two or three years. I never see them because they come when I’m not here, but they call to warn me when they are coming out. I haven’t seen a big improvement yet but last summer was brutal so we’ll give them more time. They answer any questions that I have.

We use them all the time. They provide yearly lawn service, 5 or 6 times a year. It is $80 a time. They are okay. They don’t do work like lawn mowing and things like that. I don’t know if I would recommend them. We have been using them for two years now and we have gone through a whole lot of lawn services, it all just comes down to one issue – the nut sedge problem. Everyone always swears up and down to solve it but nobody ever does. What they are doing is fine. It is pricey. Out of all the ones we have used so far, I guess we are the happiest with them. I understand there are a few issues that are out of people’s control, like the weather for example. We are working with them. If we were truly unhappy we would not have. I would use them in the future. It is not like they are not responding. I guess they are doing the best they can do. They are not just up to what we would like.

We have a contract with them. I would recommend them to other members. They are conscientious and they come on time. Their prices are fair. They are very kind and considerate. I don’t have to be here when they come.

They were very professional. They knew a lot about lawns. They knew the issues that we were dealing with locally. I pointed out a concerns and they had seen them all before, understood, and had a plan to fix it.

We have been quite happy with them. Compared to our previous lawn service companies, they are doing as best as they can. Every time they come out, they charge us a set fee.

The workers at Oasis are very punctual. They are good. I have been very satisfied with them.

Their treatments work and our yard looks good. They follow up with us a couple times a year. In general they are very courteous and try and do a good job. They always call before they come. The price listed is what we spend per year. They are a little more expensive than others, but their quality is so much better. We will continue to use them in the future.

Not a good experience. Intiial quote was for way more sq ft than my yard has. We got that worked out. Oasis uses a small tractor to apply the treatments. My yard has several areas that limit the manuverablity for equipment like this. In areas where it was necessary to make difficult turns too much fertilizer was applied creating burnt out areas in a couple of places in the yard after a couple of the applications. The technicians seem to be hurried and did not seem to pay much attention to what they were doing.

We decided to go with a new company, and they just put down one fertilizer treatment so far. They were much cheaper than the other companies who we hired in the past, and I feel like I m getting more value for my money. They don't tell me when they are going to come, but they do call me and inform me a week in advance before they could come. Whenever they turn up, they leave a sign on the lawn after the job is completed. They explained things that they are doing. They feed the grubs, and they also have some formula that kills nut grass. My overall experience with them has been good.

The service went great. We have been pleased with the service. They are very responsive and their price is excellent. The cost is for application and the price is also determined by the square footage of the lawn they are fertilizing.

The 2007 drought left our organic lawn in pretty bad shape so we decided to find a lawn service that didn't apply whether it needed it or not. They've been easy to work with (they waited until we were ready on the aeration and overseed--it had to be delayed because of the 2008 drought) and they do thorough work when they apply. The lawn looks much better--most of the weeds are gone. The only thing that didn't seem to work was the treatment to get rid of moles.

I've had Oasis Turf and Tree manage my lawn for a little over two years now. From first contact they have always been professional, prompt, and courteous. While discussing my yard recently with Rob, the owner, I was impressed to learn how much thought has gone into everything from the materials they use through the equipment to do their work. He gave me an impromptu lesson on the pros and cons of different fertilizers, the type of grass and soil I have in my yard, tips on watering and seeding, etc. It was great to discover the passion he has for his work and how that has translated into an in-depth and practical knowledge about lawn care. His operations manager, Joel, seems to carry on that passion and level of knowledge as well. My lawn has certainly benefited from their skill. I give Oasis very high marks on all fronts -- they have a great product and wonderful execution. A+.

His motto is "I work for you". They are willing to take calls anytime. He gave me advice on watering times; "your grass should not go to bed with it's feet wet." Best watering time is early morning-5am. He also takes the whole staff to seminars on grass care and feeding at Ohio State. He will come back out if needed and has access to great information.

It went pretty good. They kept trying to add aeration on there, but I am pleased with the job they are doing. Overall I'm pleased with them.
