EASTGATE SOD

Attempted several times to contact Eastgate Sod. The phone rings, a recorded message by a woman talking over a poor phone connection speaks a scratchy greeting, and the phone disconnects mid-message. There's no backup number to call or an email address. Sorta frustrating.

It was 2 weeks before Mr. Ward returned my phone call and came out for an estimate. When I met him at my house, the first thing he tried to do was sell me lawn maintenance services. After I received the quote, I requested that he write the contract so he could perform the work. That was the last I heard from him.

Eastgate sodded my front yard. They were very punctual with their estimate and came in 50% less than the other quote that I received. One company I'd called didn't bother showing up at all. I went with Eastgate BEFORE checking them out on Angie's List which wasn't very smart. I was a little concerned when I did look them up that they only had B's and I was looking for A's. As it turned out my concerns were unwarrented because they did a bangup job. Communication with Debbie was great by phone as well as email. Installation went off without a hitch-except they were a few yards short at the end. However a truck arrived within the hour with enough sod to complete the job. I was billed the amount of the estimate. I can't tell you the number of compliments I've received from passersby and I love coming home and seeing my beautiful green grass!
