I initially contacted Eads in March 2014 for a quote. The sales guy came a few days later to measure the property and sent me an estimate within a couple of days. He asked if I was ready to schedule the fence construction. I told him I'd need to contact my irrigation maintenance guy first to ensure the irrigation lines didn't fall on the proposed fence line. A few weeks later, after my irrigation guy came out to expose the lines on the left side of my property, I called Eads to schedule the fence construction. I was told they were 4-6 weeks out. I'm not certain why I wasn't told this from the beginning or I would have proceeded with scheduling the fence construction and then had my irrigation guy come out later. The fence was finally constructed in late April/early May. In the meantime, the holes my irrigation guy had dug up had filled in with water and mud. I had to clean up about a dozen holes so the fence construction crew could see the irrigation lines and not hit them with the auger. The lead guy told me not to worry about cleaning them out, but somehow I knew he would hit the lines with the auger if I didn't (as he did on the right side of my property when I discovered that one of the irrigation lines happened to be where one of the fence posts was dug). Here's a rundown of the results: I had asked the sales guy about spacing of the fence posts because my irrigation guy came out in advance to expose the irrigation lines. Together, he and I very carefully spaced out along the left side of the property where he would dig (and hence where the fence posts would go). The sales guy assured me that the construction crew would measure the property lines and evenly space the other posts. Well, that didn't happen. There was no measuring whatsoever. The posts are not evenly spaced at all along the back and the right side of the yard. It's so apparent that it looks ridiculous. I guess the silver lining is that the left side looks great!!!!! (thanks to me and the irrigation guy for actually measuring). I had also asked the sales guy about the dirt that would be dug up from the holes. He said the dirt would be spread back out around the fence posts and would eventually settle in. HAHAHAHA. What a joke. There was so much dirt that there is no way it would have settled. Regardless, the dirt was left in piles about a foot away from the fence posts. There was no attempt to spread anything. Plus I was never told there was an option to have that dirt hauled away. I spent the next week, every evening after work, hauling that dirt back to the woods with a shovel and wheelbarrow because the dirt was killing my grass (which is absolutely beautiful, by the way). As for the cement, there was way too much cement poured into each hold that it was flowing over. In fact, there was cement powder spread across the grass surrounding almost every fence post. I shoveled that up with the dirt because I certainly didn't want that hardening on my grass to create an eyesore. I called the sales guy weeks later to complain about all of this. There wasn't much sympathy. Finally, there are the latches on the gates (I had 3 installed). Latches of this type are supposed to automatically latch down when the gate is closed. These don't do anything. I have to physically hold the gate and push the latch down. I would assume this is because the latch bolts are too tight. Also, there is a locking mechanism on the latches. However, they do not work properly because either the latch hardware wasn't installed correctly or some of the fence board where the locking bolt slides in and out should have been chiseled out. I contacted the sales guy on June 12 to complain about this. He said he'd create a work order for someone to come out and fix it. Today is August 1 and my latches have still not been fixed. A few things are apparent: 1. Once Eads has their payment, they don't care about anything else 2. Once the job is completed and they've received payment, don't expect to hear from them again regarding maintenance or repairs issues. 3. The sales guy was incredibly friendly and responsive when I was considering Eads for my fencing needs. Once I had paid my bill in full and reached out 2 times to discuss issues (the dirt and the latches), his entire attitude changed. I was no longer a customer, but rather an imposition. In a nutshell, I should have worked with the other fence company in Loveland. I will never recommend Eads to anyone.

Their respone time was above average. The gentleman went over the exising fence line and made recommendations for replacement pieces and then offered suggestions on the section to be replaced with a privacy fence. The crew arrived on the appointed date and time and completed the repairs and installation within a lesser time period then was initially estimated. Eads Fence had installed the original fence line back in the spring of 1996 and I have only had to have service twice since that original installation.

See above. Never received the estimate.
Description of Work: Made an appointment for fence replacement estimate. Replacing a little more than 400 feet of old fence. Estimator/salesman came out and walked down the job and we discussed the scope of work, but then never heard back from him and never got my estimate. It's been almost 2 weeks since he came out. Guess they don't need the work, but he didn't have to waste my time.

I called the salesman and the main office. I was told that they were busy and someone would call in a few days - no one returned my calls. If you have Eads do your installation, you better not need any follow-up service. I had a tree fall and do damage in 2011. They eventually came out, but it took forever.

We contacted Eads to go with a local Loveland company, the sales Rep was late for the appointment but that was understandable for busy time of season. Rep was courteous said the quote would be emailed in a few days took over a week to get it. The fence requirements were wrong on the quote emailed twice and talked to rep on phone to get it corrected, said he would. After a week and no response called Eads and was promised sales manager would call me. No call from sales manager but a few days later got a new quote which was still incorrect. Responded to email that the quote was still not correct, no response. Gave Eads several chances to make it right but failed each time. Perhaps this job was not large enough to be a priority, but I will have a larger fence project in the future that Eads will not get the opportunity to quote on. We have signed a deal with another company who responds to phone calls and emails.

EADS Fence company performed an outstanding service. From the time of the initial consultation and quote and the fence was completed, EADS provided an outstanding service for a fair price. I received friendly reminders as to when the date of the installation would be. They showed up on time. A big plus with today's active lifestyles. The installers were polite and worked hard to get the fence installed while I would be at home. The follow up to make sure that I was pleased and that work was completed to my satisfaction was also very professional. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends.

I called this company because of thier high rating as well as the number of customer reviews they had. This method has proven in the past to be effective in finding someone reputable. One Note, I usually don't post unless service was performed because in my mind you don't know if they were good or not unless they performed the service. With that said I contacted the company around 10 April 2014 and asked that someone come out and provide an estimeate. I further explained that I was in a crunch because my insurance company was going to drop my coverage if I did not have railing in place by the end of the month. they said they will have someone out next week. almost a week and half later I called back and was told a guy named Chris was suppose to contact me. Well two days later Chris calls me to confirm what it was I was trying to do. He informed me that he would send me an email with an estimate. I provided two email addresses and recieved ZERO responses (estimates). I am sure they were at one time a great fence company and may do decent work. Their lack of responsiveness to customers will be the nail in thier coffin. If they are getting too much business then they should partner with another fence company and filter some excess work to them. I would not hire someone who in the begining of a business relationship you can't trust them to do what they said they will do. I would just as soon go with another provider who stands by thier word.

This is the fourth time I have used the Eads Fence Co. I highly recommend them. They arrived the day and time they said they would be at my home. We walked the yard and recommendations that were made proved excellent. There were no surprises, the black vinyl fence looks great, and the price and product were exactly as the Eads salesman said they would be. The men who installed the fence were courteous and friendly. When the installation was complete, they called me to inspect their work before they left the job. All the employees that I dealt with were honest, reliable, and skilled from the salesman and secretary to the men who installed the fence.
Description of Work: Consulted about fence to put in the back yard. Explained that I needed a survey, probably a permit, and how to go about getting each. Very helpful, professional, punctual, and knowledgeable.

We had a rough plan on what we wanted to do with a split rail fence but once the contractors were on site our plan needed to be adjusted. The people at Eads were very accommodating and fair in pricing and changes. We were able to get the fence we wanted and once they started they were finished fencing in our .5 acre lot within 2 days. Very impressed.

The workmanship was excellent, they were very attentive to detail regarding what I wanted and how I wanted it to look. In terms of the fence itself I could not be happier. They even helped arrange the fence to allow for a large tree on the property line to be included in the construction without damaging the tree iteself nor allowing any gaps between the fence and the tree. This was not an easy task, but they were up to it and did it well. The problem I had with Eads was timing. I signed the contract in May 2013, but construction did not start until August. I can understand that things came up, including a wet summer which would have slowed their installations elsewhere, but I did not hear from them once until they were ready to install. Then, after the installation was done, there were some minor tweaks which needed to be done. They guarantee their work so there was no question on their part that they would do it. However, it took many attempts to contact them, leaving several messages, to get them to respond at all in order to set up any work. Then, even after the head of the maintenance group came out to look at and assess the work needed, even he forgot for over a month. As such, the final work was not done until just before Christmas. If asked if I would recommend them, yes for their work, but I would keep on top of them if you need something done quickly.

Justin arrived on time and we went over the details of what I had requested. As he walked the property line with me, he was able to advise on the best locations for gates and the best way to join our fence with the neighbor's. He ended up spending an hour with us to explain all of our fencing options, as well as the pros and cons of each. We have not made a final selection for what type of fence we want but see no reason not to make Eads our first call.

I called early last week for a quote of a new residential fence. A day later I received a call asking for more details about the fence from a guy at Eads called Matt. So far so good. He stated he would give me a call on Thursday morning to figure out a time to meet on Friday at the property to get a quote. Great. However, I never received a call on Thursday. I should have been done with the company then, but I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt as things do tend to happen. I texted Matt (he seemed to be more responsive that way), on Friday asking when he wanted to meet, as I too have a busy schedule. I never received a call or text. Again, after given them another chance to redeem themselves, I texted Matt letting him know we are getting another quote from a competitor, but we wanted to work with them. He finally responded saying he could come out on Monday. Again, I received no follow-up, and on Monday morning (today) I text him and asked for a final time. He said he would be there between 11am and 12pm. After waiting for over an hour I got a text saying he was on his way. After waiting for another half hour, , I simply left the property. Waiting 1.5 hours is ridiculous. How am I to trust the company's quality and service if they can't even be reliable enough to get a quote??? If they are too big for residential work, just say that, heck, just say you don't want my business. I can handle that. But don't say you are going to do something and then not do it. More importantly, if the client follows up with you multiple times and you still don't care, expect a negative review. Definitely go somewhere else, there are too many good companies that actually want your business and customers who will pay for it.

I had to make two calls to the company before I received a return call for the estimate. To me, a customer shouldn't have to beg for services to be rendered. I (probably wrongly, on my part) disclosed that this would be a small job, when I made the initial contact. I wanted an addition to the size of my current chain link fence. Their seeming lack of interest made me feel as though there wasn't much money to be made so it wasn't worth their time to even respond. I already had an estimate from EME, who installed my current fence about 20 years ago. I haven't yet had the work done but will be going with EME to complete the project, Not Eads!!

We had bought a fence from Eads so our dogs could use the yard. We were very satisfied. Our dogs died and we got a 50 pound dog and then a 12 pound dog who could get through our fence. We called Eads for help. We were told that chicken wire would work. They sent out a worker quickly who was very slow. Even though he was told and saw our 50 pound dog, he did not use enough fasteners to prevent our dog from knocking down the chicken wire. We told them and they sent another worker who used more ties. It did not keep the fence up and I contacted Eads for other ideas. They never called me back. I have since had someone else put in a different kind of materials that is holding up.

My appointment with the rep was scheduled within 10 days of my call. The rep provided a very detailed quote with price details for different fence options including aluminum for entire perimeter or aluminum in front with wooden railing around the back and sides. He also included full details of the pricing for all work to be completed with the install. This comprehensive detail made it very easy to make the selections required and understand the full price for the job. I was disappointed to have to wait nearly 2 months for my install - but I am very pleased with the end product. The installation was completed in 1 day by a very hard-working, professional crew.

We had 4 companies come out to quote this job, and Eads was far and away the most professional and knowledgeable. Their sales guys were top notch--not pushy at all, but really knew their stuff and even told me what types of things to make sure we get were we to go with another provider. They were also the only company we had out that does the electrical work for automatic hookup. Everyone else asked that we bring in our own electrician. Price-wise, they were not the lowest or the highest, but pricing on automatic gates is much higher than we thought it would be and we've decided to hold off on the purchase for now. Because of the professionalism of the staff and the thoroughness of the quite (with drawings and everything), when we do decide to go for it, we'll be hiring Eads.
Description of Work: Eads came out to quote us for installation of an automatic gate to cross over our driveway. We have not yet had services performed.
