Eads Fence Co Inc

Stopped in their retail store in Loveland, OH and talked to Bernie Kruse about getting an estimate repairing gates and replacing rails on a split rail fence they installed a few years ago. I completed their information form and was assured they would be out within a week to give the estimate. No one ever came, no follow up communication. They also ignored/never responded to an online request for estimate submitted thru their website. If they can't be bothered to give an estimate as promised, no idea if they would actually show up and complete the job.

Job well done. Fast resposes, but overall communication of project timeline was a mess. Overall still pretty smooth and great work.

Well...we currently have chicken wire covering part of our fence opening and zip ties! Brian was our salesman. He came out to measure and give quote. We finally decided to go ahead with EADS. It took several emails each time I contacted him to get a response. I told him we wanted to schedule and after multiple emails he responded saying you're scheduled for Thursday. No offering days available to see what worked for us. Thursday comes and the installer shows up (he was great! Very nice and did a great job) and tells me that the gates we requested aren't available and Brian didn't inform him of that until that morning, so he would have to put chicken wire up to cover the opening until the gates were available which sometimes takes 4-5 weeks. I called and requested to speak to a manager because who schedules a job when they don't have all the materials to complete it. My husband owns a gutter company and he would never schedule a job and show up if he didn't have the materials to complete it. Sadly, I was told that Brian is the manager. That makes his lack of customer service skills even worse. The least Brian could've down is inform me that the parts aren't available and ask if we wanted to go ahead and have it partially completed or wait until all the materials were available. I sent him a lengthy email explaining our disappointment with the service and his response was very rude and unprofessional and the part that really turned me off was him stating "I don't know that us not having the gates makes us so evil!" He says he scheduled even though they didn't have all the materials because he thought I wanted it ASAP, which I did, but I expected it to be fully completed. It's unacceptable to send out an installer to do a job and not even inform the home owner that all the materials aren't available. Not to mention it should've been Brian making this call informing us, not putting it on his installer to deliver the bad news. I can only imagine how many times Brian has put his installers in crappy situations like this!

Everything went very well. Great crew they did very good work. Small issue with one gate... but it got resolved very quickly and that is what really counts. Thanks again for a great job

Guy who did the estimate was running behind getting out to our house and there was some miscommunication that lead to the job getting started a couple days later than what they told us. Other than that, the fence itself is nice and they did a good job on it.

Wonderful. I gave them an F PREVIOUSLY but they made up for it. Great job.

I bought an iron rod gate from MacKenzie Child and the gate late was about two inches too small to be able to close the gate. I took pictures and measurements to Eads Fencing and their blacksmith, Tracy, made a special gate latch for me that works perfectly! They were very nice, professional, and accommodating to what I needed. I used them several years ago to install the fence in our backyard and I would definitely use them again.

Eads installed a fence for us in 2014. While it usually took a couple of calls for them to respond the work was satisfactory. The problem came when, two weeks ago, after a storm, a tree fell and knocked out two sections of our fence. I called Eads repeatedly, 4-5 times and left messages. We have two dogs who run when not contained so we really needed to have the fence repaired. Finally someone answered the phone (on a Friday) and assured me that we were in the list to be called on Monday. When they did not call on Monday I waited until Wednesday and left another message. We happened to have a landscaper, Marvins Organic Gardens, on our property doing some work. They mentioned that they would be happy to do the repair. It was completed within two days of our conversation. I still have not heard back from Eads.

Called 3 times to get an estimate. Was continually told that my info was in the system and a salesman would contact me. I was never contacted. Apparently they don't want my business.

Worst case of failed customer service in the history of fence companies! Stay away from these guys. They will be out of business very soon, if they aren't already.

I tried to get a quote and they never called me back. I called 4 different times, and each time they said a salesperson would call. They never did. They check all of my contact information the last time, which was correct, but the guy still never called. If they are this unresponsive before having the contract, it makes you wonder how they would be once they have the signed contract.

I called Eads to set up inspection, and two days later, Barney reached back to set up inspection during the weekend. The Inspection went well overall. Barney was knowledgeable and patient with questions. A written estimate is given and he also agreed to send me an email copy with pictures of proposed fence. But he did not send me that email until I contacted him several times asking for it, therefore I gave them a B for responsiveness. I negotiated the price with them a little bit since another company is offering a better price, and Barney did lower the price very quickly. The installation went fine. Eddie was the only guy working on the project, and he is not very punctual. He is very professional on the job, and is very friendly as well. He was very careful when handling the trees and bushes near the fence, and put away the old fence in an organized way. However, he did forget to spread the dirt evenly after digging them out. I am overall satisfied with Eads.

The service was fine. They actually did not cleanup very well. My husband mowed the grass and he had a piece of fence go through his foot. The fence was fine, but the cleanup was not. Their punctuality and responsiveness was fine. The price was reasonable. We would possibly use them again in the future.

Apparently they had to much business to do to be bothered to amend their quote for the work we wanted, must be nice! Good thing it happened before we made a decision, no one needs to deal with unprofessional companies.

In the late summer of 2014 I contacted multiple companies asking for an approximate cost of 100 ft. of 5' high metal fencing. All pushed to have a representative (salesperson) come to look, measure, etc. I kept trying to stress that all I wanted was a ballpark figure to decide if the cost was even viable for us. Also, that I didn't need installation until early 2015. Bernie Kruse with Eads was the only person who respected this simple request AND did not show exasperation about not coming to actually measure and quote (and give me the hard-sell). So, for this reason, we proceeded with Eads. Again, Bernie Kruse worked patiently with us and our landscaper to achieve the look and function that we wanted. So over 1/2 year later, following snow and near-zero temperatures, our fence is finally in! It is SO incredibly classy and once the landscaping is finished will be the envy of the neighborhood. Bernie has been consistently professional, took extreme care to ensure that we got what we wanted, and then that the measurements were accurate. The installers were absolutely great! Friendly, well-mannered, and meticulous! Their experience, skill and knowledge about what they were doing were immediately obvious. All players met multiple times to pull this together for a satisfactory conclusion. We are SO happy with this fence and how enhances the appearance of our property. This company, and Bernie Kruse, are top-notch at what they do!

This firm responded very quickly. They gave a quick price estimate with recommended options. After I selected them, they started the construction very quickly, probably because of the time of year. The crew arrived early and worked long days. They kept me informed of their plans. The jobs was completed in 2 days and looks great.

The fence is beauiteful. The work was done efficiently and professionally. I highly recommend them.

From the sales side, to scheduling, to installation, everyone from Eads was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Our initial estimate was for a split-rail fence, but they were quick to return a new estimate when we decided on aluminum instead. We knew the timeline for installation from the beginning, and were made aware that the seemingly non-stop rainy weather might cause delays. In fact, when rescheduling occurred, we were notified well in advance, and they were more than willing to work with my schedule. On the day of installation, the installer told us a graded gate would be necessary on one side, and he made a quick call to the office and the gate was ordered, and at an extremely reasonable price. In the meantime, he has placed a temporary fence panel that is tied in so that we can use the yard for our pups, and to be honest, from the street, you cannot tell it's a temporary. We should have the new gate installed in about three weeks, give or take, and the 99% of the fence that is finished looks fantastic.

I liked their reviews and that they were responsive to my initial phone call. It took them 2 days to put up the fence.

The guys showed up on time and put in the posts...They returned the next day and finished the fence...helped to secure an ajoining fence that wasn't as secure as I needed it to be with two dogs...the neighbors has three dogs and I was worried about the gaps. The workers took care of if for me...with all the fencing that went up, I was worried about extra nails in the grass and the dogs...I took a large magnet I have that we used to find roofing nails and I was astonished that the magnet hardly picked up any nails...found some really old nails but none from this crew...They were awesome!

Overall I had a great experience. The quality of work was what I expected. I was satisfied.

Requested online a quote & received a call back from Justin in 48 hrs with a ballpark idea on pricing. A week later Justin came to our home for an accurate estimate. When he saw the property & where/how we wanted the fence installed he was honest & did not recommend due to the construction, & space. He was concerned that we would not be happy after completed. He wanted a happy customer & quality work. I cannot express our appreciation for the honesty & not just pushing product to make a sale. Although we did not get a fence I HIGHLY recommend EADS & Justin.

Extremely pleased with the work. The posts are sturdier now, and the new location of the gate is perfect. The installers came back to change a couple things on the gate. They were very polite and did excellent work. The company went out of their way to make sure I was happy, including finding a new latch for the gate that works so much better. Thanks to everyone involved with the job. I look forward to working with you again.
