Camargo Kitchen & Bath Remodeling

Description of Work: This is a recommendation that is four years overdue! Greg Dodson of Action Installers was recommended to us by a co-worker, who had completely redone her kitchen and was extremely satisfied with his work. When I was looking for a contractor, I called Greg and two large kitchen “rehab” companies. Having a large, but long and narrow kitchen, my only “plan” was to remove our cooktop island, which was really in the way i.e. if the refrigerator door was open, I needed to go around the island to get to the pantry; if the dishwasher was open, I had to go around the island to the oven or refrigerator, etc. Both of the large companies came to me – apparently without listening – and presented plans with an island anyway. Greg designed a plan that removed the island and gave us a two-tiered peninsula, with more counterspace and open floor space than we had before! We ordered all of our appliances, semi-custom cabinets, floor and wall tile, faucets, etc. and everything was here when Greg got the job started. Greg has one assistant, and they gutted everything …. Floor to ceiling. The job moved quickly and efficiently and cleanly (we joked about it when Greg even vacuumed our garage floor each night, but he does a great of cleaning up each day!). If Greg wasn’t satisfied with something, he’d tear it out and start again. Our only issue was one cabinet that was too large, making our microwave hang too low over our stovetop. Greg took responsibility for not looking at the cabinet order more closely and “ate” that charge. It was our only glitch. He seems to have a great set of sub-contractors—plumber, electrician, painters – and all showed up and did a great job on the day they were needed. Naturally, after the beautiful job was done in our kitchen, and with the confidence we have in Greg, we have since remodeled our master bath, powder room (to match the kitchen) and now our kids’ bath (in June, 2011). Greg is friendly, a perfectionist, professional, and listens to what his clients are looking for. We have recommended him to many, many other people, including my husband's clients and have never heard a bad report from them either. The only disadvantage to using Greg is that, being a two-man business and sometimes being in demand, you might have to wait a little longer for him to start your job – but he’s worth it!
