+ -1 moreThey are very professional, they did a really nice job, and there were no problems. He was very professional right down to coming out in the evenings to make sure everything was going on right, and we were happy with the cost and contacts through emails. The top of the deck was 10 x12 and the other one was 20 x 15. He had built it in a week. We did one of the plastic decks. The price was definitely reasonable for the materials we got and the estimates that we were getting.
Description of Work: We used Stellar Construction to do our deck. They put a brand new two tier deck on our house for us.

Description of Work: Kevin built a privacy fence on our deck that surrounds one side of our hot tub.

+ -1 moreThe contractor I hired is due to install our deck in 2 weeks, hopefully with Kevin's advice on materials and building, we will know what to look for and make sure our deck is safe.
Description of Work: Kevin Deckard came out to give us a bid for a pool deck installation. He was very professional, explained to me how a deck should be built and once I gave him our budget, he said our scope of work was just too lofty. So, he and I came up with a much smaller deck to fit into my budget. Imagine my surprise when his bid returned approximately 30% over our budget! His advice did help extraordinarily in ruling out one contractor and hiring another. Kevin told us we should use hot dipped 1/2 shank nails, and our railing posts should be blocked in as opposed to our current deck--which were unstable due to lack of blocking and installation of posts attached to side of deck. If he used a top choice lumber as opposed to Kiln dried, maybe that would have made the difference in price???? I got three bids and his bid was MUCH higher. He seemed to really know his stuff, if it weren't for the outrageous price, I think I would have enjoyed working with him

+ -1 moreWe had a large 2-tiered deck built by another contractor in July, 2011 and it turned into a complete disaster. It was structurallly unsound and so poorly constructed, it was an embarassment. We were left with a mess and a lawsuit from this contractor. Decks Limited (Kevin Deckerd) came to our rescue. He completely tore down the other contractor's (idea of a proper deck) and rebuilt it perfectly. He takes great pride in his work, he is a perfectionist, and a gentleman. I have never met a contractor like him--his work is superb. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone for any project--I plan to use his services again and again......
Description of Work: Decks Limited --(Kevin Deckerd) is amazing. He saved us from a complete deck disaster. We hired another contractor before him to rebuild a 25 year old deck and it was a total disaster. Mr. Deckerd came to our rescue and completely tore down the other contractor's (idea of a deck) and rebuilt it perfectly. He takes great pride in his work, he is a perfectionist, and a gentleman. I have never met a contractor like him----his work is superb. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone for any project. I plan to use his services again and again............
