Precision Glass Block

Scott and his crew are outstanding. We had 2 small blocks replaced for our home and decided to replace our garage window using glass block. Great communications, received call backs, timely responses and quotes, very well cleaned up afterwards, A professional installation from top to bottom. You will not be disappointed. Chris was the installer. Did a very through job. After installation he notice 1 square block was cracked. Mentioned to me that they would be back to replace it. Followed up on that and did what he said he would do.

On time, and did a great job. cleaned up and were all done in approximately 3 hours. This included removing the old sash type basement windows.

They were just great. The price was great. I would use them again. They cleaned up after themselves. Our basement window had flooded. Our house is very old. They came in an put in the glass block window. It has worked beautifully. It was a small job but they really did a great job.

We called and they set an appointment to come out for the installation date. They were right on time and explained everything. He was professional and answered all of our question and gave us a good price. They were done quickly and cleaned up everything then they were gone.

We were very pleased with the service. The sales person who visited to prepare the quote was punctual, professional, thoroughly explained the installation process, and satisfactorily answered all of my questions. Upon our acceptance of the bid, an installation date was scheduled. The installer arrived on time with two sets of 3 windows each in his truck. When asked, he explained that he had some doubts about the accuracy of the measurements taken by the sales person, and he brought two complete window sets of different size in order to be sure of a proper fit. Indeed, there had been a small error in the original measurement, but thanks to the careful preparation of the installer, the correct windows were installed as scheduled. The installer had to work in a tight space around some exterior shrubbery, but the installation was very neat with perfectly finished mortar joints on both the interior and the exterior of the windows. The mortar was even color-matched to our painted block walls. The installer warned us that upon drying we would observe some very small hairline cracks in the surface of the mortar, but that these cracks would not compromise the structural integrity of the installation. Indeed we did find a few small cracks, but as an engineer by profession I have no concerns with the integrity or the appearance of the mortar joints. This was a very well-done job by Precision Glass Block. We would hire them again and would recommend to others.

We found the company at the Home and Garden Show. They called and set up an appointment for an estimate very quickly. The window we had replaced was HUGE. We received $60 off for the window (it is considered 2 windows due to size) and also $10 off a vent for signing up at the Home and Garden Show. They were professional and curteous and had also done our basement windows for the previous owner. The glass blocks are American made and they use mortar not silicon when installing them. This is improtant as silicon widows are very easy to pull out where as with mortar, you would need a baseball bat. We are very please and would suggesst a vent to anyone considering these windows. Lots of light and privacy - no need for window coverings.
