The initial replacement of the foundation footer drain system went well considering I had to dig up newly landscaped plants, etc prior to the start of the project and a totally destroyed front, side, and rear lawn with the use of a back hoe and bobcat. That I can accept. The damage done to my entire driveway and the lack of concern by the owner and his project manager is another thing. Attempts made by myself and a company I have hired to assist me to get the owner to take responsibility of the damages has been fruitless.
Description of Work: I hired NEM Construction in Sept 2017 to replace a failed foundation footer drain system in the amount of $16,000. While I am quite satisfied with the footer work his project manager had 100 tons of #1 & 2 limestone dumped on my unprotected driveway using a quad tandem dump truck without my initial knowledge and my approval. The stone was moved from my driveway to the areas around my house foundation using a bobcat. Once all of the stone was removed I saw that my driveway was left damaged at every seam section plus broken corners of certain concrete sections. And now I have a section of driveway that has sunk leaving about an inch to trip over. Attempts have been made with the owner to correct the problem his work crew created to no satisfaction. The project manager laughed at me when I pointed out the damage done to my driveway and stated "it was like that before we began work". Not true..my driveway was in excellent condition. When he and the crew were preparing to leave, once again I was laughed at and the project manager stated, "if you need a new driveway, give us a call". This company came highly recommended, however, I am disappointed with the response or lack thereof regarding the damage done to my driveway. I now am stressed with the financial burden to replace what was once in excellent condition and that until it is done I've lost value in my home. In the long run, Don did not save me money. His unwillingness to deal with my concerns is completely unprofessional. While performing good work on my initial project yet leaving me with damaged and ruined driveway was not part of the initial and agreed upon verbally or by the written contract. My suggestion, look elsewhere.

They did a great job with the concrete and the driveway looks great. However I did have problem with how the team treated my yard overall. There were cigarette butts everywhere but most importantly, the construction team removed an excessive amount of dirt and grass surrounding the driveway. I would have been more understanding of that, but when I asked to have some dirt replaced I did not get any help from Don. We had to spend close to $300 in dirt just to replace what was removed. It just would have been nice to at least been asked if we wanted to keep the dirt. Oh, and they left a big patch of mixed cement in the middle of the front grass that we also had to replace.
Description of Work: Replaced half driveway and front sidewalk

I feel everything went well. The workers were kind to me when I would ask questions. They worked very hard and tool pride in their work. Mr. Nemeth was on the jobsite almost daily. I appreciated that. The cost was overwhelming at first but later when I saw how well everything turned out I had relief that now I HAVE A SOUND BASEMENT AND HOUSE. KUDOS TO NEM CONSTRUCTION!
Description of Work: They weren't the cheapest company (I had 3 estimates) but they did more than the other companies. The project took 2 weeks ending around April 30th. There was a lot of work to be done.

I have a beautiful Japanese red maple, as tall as the house. I didn't want to lose it but they were able to move it and kept it watered everyday. I credit them alot for working hard to take off and reconstruct the existing porch, which was installed poorly by the original worker, so it was a challenge. I give them a gold star for that. Mr. Nemeth was always on-site supervising every day. He would help his crew with any work. He was there to answer all my questions. His workers were just exceptional, very nice and answered the many questions I always had for them. They were very tolerant of all my questions. They went above and beyond in their work and were very professional. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: I am in the process of having extensive basement waterproofing to the tune of $25,000. Although the project won't start until the week of April 8, 2012, in good faith I have given $1,000. Although Mr. Nemeth was the highest price I got from 4 others, he is going to do much more than the other contractors. I am confident he will do a good job. He fixed the basement of a house 3 houses from mine. That homeowner was very satisfied. I also talked to other people and they all said: "Oh, I know of a good company" And the answer was NEM CONSTRUCTION. I had already signed the contract so hearing these opinions gave me more faith in the contract I signed. The front wall was structurally unsound and had to be torn out, as well as my porch which was later reconstructed. A sump pump and drain pipe were installed. The main sewer line was installed. All of the gutters and downspouts were tied in. A new stoop was installed by the back door. I had (4) new glass block windows installed in the basement.

We've had this leak for many years, but in December after a rain water was coming in the wall. At some point we wish to sell the house, and we knew we had to get this fixed. We were worried that it was going to coust thousands of dollars. After joining Angie's list I called some contractors and told them my story. They all said the same thing and basically quoted me around the same price. Unfortunately, they did not want to do the job until spring when the weather we better. NEM Construction does this type of work year round. They came recommended by our plumber. After a few conversations with Dan we felt comfortable to go ahead with the job. It was done this week and we are very pleased with the work.
Description of Work: I had a crack in my basement wall with a small water leak. They came out hand dug out the area, sealed the wall and crack and filled the area with dirt and gravel. Retarred the wall and put up visquine on the wall. They gave us a 20 year warranty that is transferable to new owners if house is sold.
