They did a great job. He came and did an estimate, and although it took me awhile to get back to him, he was able to come back out and do a great job at the estimated price. They were very professional and left no mess at all. I would recommend them to others.

After struggling throgh attempts to fix a persistently leaky skylight, I called Bob at Skylights Plus to check it out. Given the fact that previous attempts to repair the flashing/roofing around the skylight didn't work, he recommended a full replacement. Even though the weather dealt a number of setbacks to the schedule, Bob stayed in contact until we were able to find a good time to replace it. To avoid having to use a crane to get the skylight up to the 5th floor (couldn't get a new skylight up through the existing hole), Bob came up with an idea which ultimately saved costs and complexity. We opted to split a single skylight into two, and put a wood bar across the middle to match the ceiling. It looked great when finished, and saved a good deal of money. I appreciated the fact that he thought outside of the box and didn't focus on making the job bigger and more expensive.

Bob scheduled the delivery of the new skylight thru the local Distributor in MB and had it held for him until he arrived. We agreed on a price and I even offered some gas money for Bob and his family for doing this favor for us. The job went off without a hitch even though we are on the top floor of a 4 story bldg., Bob was careful with the debris according to our Property Mgr. on site and installed the new Velux and even trimmed out the interior with new paintable trim. Bob offered his expertise every step of the way and the result is a beautiful new skylight that floods our condo with sunlight. I will use Skylights plus every chance I get and would recommend them highly!

The work was completed but the necessary follow up was not done and the service and professionalism are the worst we have ever dealt with.

We have had services performed by this vendor in the past and it was completely satisfactory. We have been calling ever since the weather cleared this spring and have not received an answer. I have not spoken with him only his answering machine.

Called Bob for an estimate, he came out the next day. Very professional and knowledgeable. His price was excellent; we have a steeply pitched roof, and the skylights are difficult to access. He handled the job readily. We scheduled the work, he came out on time, took care of business. No fuss, no muss; one of the best vendors we've ever had at the house. Bob is a real pro; his workmanship and price are tops.

Called to schedule an estimate last fall. Bob came out the next day, provided the estimate, and gave us some very helpful advice on how to proceed. We were set to begin three weeks later when Mother Nature intervened with a snow storm. Then another. Then another. Consequently, we had to wait until late March for the installation. On the agreed upon day, Bob arrived at exactly the appointed time and immediately got to work. First day involved penetrating the roof and installing the skylights. Second day involved cutting out the ceiling. Third and fourth days were finishing work. Bob was very careful to protect the furnishings in the family room and conscientious about cleaning up when the job was finished. After he was done you'd never know he had been there...except for the fact that our family room now looks like something out of a magazine. Working with Bob was an easy, satisfying experience. I would highly recommend Skylights Plus to anyone thinking about installing skylights in their home.

Glazed and repaird a gap under skylight

Good experence. Bob explained in detail what he was doing along each step of the process. Also did outstanding job of clean up. He uses a very well know product brand. Bob is very professional.

We had just moved into this house and it had many dark areas and we needed to get light into the house. I called Skylights Plus and Bob came out and gave us an estimate. We needed a 2 X 4 foot skylight in the kitchen, and two sun tubes in a dark hallway. Bob and Kyle came out and did the roof work on the day and time they said they would. They came back the next day and started working on the light shaft for the skylight and put both sun tubes in the same day. Then when Bob came back to spackle the light shaft we had decided we liked the first two sun tubes so we ordered another one for a bathroom. Bob made three trips to get the light shaft done. He dry walled the shaft , put in insulation in and when he was done painted it and installed the third sun tube. There was never a mess and they always cleaned up after each days work. It was a pleasure to have it done in a short period of time while always showing concern and care or our house. We love the results and I would highly recommend using Skylights Plus their professionalism and workmanship was exceptional.

If you're interested in getting a skylight, Bob can be trusted to freely give you the best advice about your options. Once you've made your selection, he'll provide a contract for the work. Half of the cost is paid upon acceptance of the contract, and the remainder is paid when the job is complete. I have always been completely satisfied with Bob's masterful work and professional manner. Consider that installing skylights is by necessity seasonal work: obviously, roof work cannot be performed in wet, snowy, or icy conditions. If you're thinking of having a skylight or sun tunnel installed, take care to arrange for it sooner rather than later. For example, in order to have your skylight installed in Spring 2014, you'd probably need to arrange for it soon. Bob must order your skylight from Velux in Europe, then good weather is required for the work to be done, and finally bear in mind that he has other eager customers zealously awaiting their skylights too! When your skylight or sun tunnel is installed, you can expect immediate gratification. Indeed, I've always found Bob's work even better than I'd expected. Furthermore, there is ongoing pleasure in witnessing the infinite variety of subtle light effects resulting from your new sky portal. In fact, even at night your skylight or sun tunnel will surprise you with unexpected illumination from the moon and the stars. In urban areas, you'll even perceive reflected light glowing from low cloud cover! A skylight or sun tunnel is the best way to open your home to the beauty of the skies above us, and likewise to celebrate the glory of sunlight!

We had a skylight installed approximately 1 year ago (Nov 2012). The installation went fine. Recently, a piece of wood from the frame around the skylight fell off. My wife called about this and was told they would come out to look at it. Never showed, said that he got detained. OK. She had to call back and received an apology and told he'd come out Saturday morning. Never showed, no phone call. She had to call again, another apology and said he dropped the ball on it. OK. Said he'd come out today (Wed). Never showed, no phone call. I'm willing to excuse once, even twice with at least a call but three times and no call to say "I"m sorry, I can't make it" just isn't professional.

Bob gave us the best bid for the tubular skylight and we are pleased with how the installation went. The work was done with care to minimize dust and cleanup required. The soffit vents were installed and look good. The insulation company that came the day after Bob and his crew were here said that the vents were appropriate and installed well. The solar fan is in place and seems to be working as designed. The work we had Bob do on the chimneys might be a bit outside of what he normally does, but we asked him to do the capping of the unused flues and the installation of the weather cap on the functioning flue since he was going to be up on the roof anyway. The work was done as agreed and we are pleased with the result.

!From start to finish, this was one of the best home projects we have ever experienced. Bob was helpful as we made decisions on what size skylight to install, he explained the process, timing etc. so we knew exactly what we were getting into. There were a couple of unforeseen issues with a vent and some electrical wires, and a few days of rain but all were unpreventable and only slightly delayed the project. We ended up adding an electric blind to our order for which we will be getting a tax credit. Glad we did it. Bob is great to work with and we would highly recommend his services!

We decided to have two skylights installed in our sun room and got estimates from two providers on Angie's List.. Bob from Skylights Plus was great! He was always concerned that we get exactly what we wanted and would do whatever was necessary to make us happy. He obviously knew his products thoroughly and gave us all of the information to make a decision on what to install. We were very pleasantly surprised at the resulting price quote from Skylights Plus as it was much less than the competition. The skylights we had installed look great and really transformed the room. Bob's "customer first" approach was really nice to see and he was easy to work with throughout the process. I really appreciate working with a professional like Bob who is proud of his work and wants to get the job done right. We hired Bob after receiving several quotes from installers that provide Velux brand skylights. Our job included 2 skylights in our family room and one in our master bathroom. Bob was very quick to respond to my estimate request and came out to the house as scheduled. He has great knowledge about the products he installs and provided us with a literature book as reference. Our original request was to replace the exisiting models with identical replacements. Bob said he would get back to me in a day or two with the quote. After he left, I began reviewing the documents he left and became intrigued by the new Solar Powered Fresh air skylights that happen to be eligible for a Tax credit. All of our current skylights are fixed and do not open. After I got the first quote, I called Bob to get an opinion on what he thougt of this new product. He told me they were brand new as of March 2013 and from what he had read, the solar technology they incorporated was very similar to the current technology available on Velux's solar shades. He said the shades had been on the market for about 6 years and have been very reliable. He then provided a new quote for the new skylights. It was a no hassle quote, no hard sales pitch, it was very professional and he told me to think about it and let him know what we liked. Our family room skylights are enclosed in Oak and the window well is quiet weathered from all of the years of sunlight. I called Bob back to discuss what he thought about the area and he told me he could order a stain grade skylight, put up scaffolding in our family room and match and recondition the area around the skylight to match He said he would do that as part of the original quote. I was sold. He really went the extra distance on this to make sure that I would be happy with the finished look. It took about 2 months to get the skylights ordered (new product at velux, demand had exceeded supply) and Bob kept us in the loop as we awaited the product. He came out with the prestained windows and installed them in one day. He came back a few days later with a helper and finished off the inside window wells and we couldn't be happier with the results. He did a fantastic job. He trained us on the remote feature and answered all of our questions. That night, we went to close the skylights and found an issue with one of them. It was throwing an error stating it was blocked. I left Bob a message and he came out the very next day which happened to be a Saturday. He took a look and confirmed their appeared to be a calibration issue but Velux support wasn't open on the weekends. He was honest, apologetic and very accountable in explaining to us that with it being a new product, he hadn't learned all of the tricks yet. Monday morning, he was on the phone first thing with technical support and had the window operating normally that afternoon. Bob is a true professional. He is honest, accountable, reliable and proud of his products and his business. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend him to all of my friends and family. His price was excellent and we truly feel Bob went above and beyond in helping stain match our situation, something that some of the other installers said we would have to sub contract out. A+ for Bob, he's great to work with. Thanks for the great job!!!

It went great. From the time they came out to do the initial estimate to the work that was performed. Skylights Plus was very professional and courteous. I have even recommended them to my neighbors and he has done some work for them as well.

From my very first call, Bob was responsive. He listened to the problem (skylight mysteriously cracked), made a time to come out an inspect it, called with the news that it needed to be removed and a new one put in; set a time to come back, installed it and left me a bill. I did not need to be home - the work was done cleanly and efficiently. The brand - Velux - is what I wanted. All this in one week's time with no interruptions to my schedule.

Initial contact was in late December, 2012. Water was leaking in through one of the large skylights and causing interior damage. Bob (the owner) came out right away and inspected the damage; apparently the three skylights had been an incorrect size and never completely fit their openings, causing prior leakage. Work couldn't be performed until close to the middle of April, due to either rain or snow throughout the winter. I had a deadline and Bob met that with days to spare! Now I have skylights that fit - with shades - and the ceiling area that had been inexpertly patched in prior years was fixed so that it is impossible to tell there had been a leak. Had a minor problem with the hooks on the two large skylights but Bob suggested a fix over the phone and assured me he'd come back out if necessary.
