Robert is a high integrity man. He shared his knowledge of concrete with me to help me make an informed decision on using his company for our driveway replacement. His crew was professional and done a great job on our driveway. I would suggest Robert Barrett Concrete for all your concrete needs.

It started out just doing a driveway and ended up being a driveway, new sidewalk, walkway around the home, a pergola, a deck, patio and porch. Robert and his team were very good at communicating status. They were punctual and their work was excellent. I recommend this contractor very much and have great respect for the work that he did for us at a very fair price to boot!! Madison County and nearby, here’s an honest man!! Recommended highly!!

Robert was great to work with and the finished product was amazing. The only disappointments were that there were some unexpected charges due to what was beneath the existing porch and a significant delay in being able to pour the concrete. Both of these were outside Robert's control, as far as I could tell. Robert communicated throughout the project and, again, the finished work was very high quality and looks beautiful.

We are very pleased. We didn't have to wait long before the project began, it was done promptly, the site was left clean, all work people were pleasant and communication was clear and professional. The price was fair (and somewhat lower than 2 other bids received) and the driveway looks good--altogether an excellent experience.

They kept on schedule despite difficulty obtaining materials. The completed job is everything we wanted. They even went the extra mile and leveled dirt around the perimeter because they knew we were having a group of people over the next day. They truly want their customers happy.

Robert and the guys were here when they said they would be. The work is awesome. A lot of attention to detail. A good group of guys making a difference with the quality of work being done. If you want concrete done right these are the guys you want at your home.

Robert himself was here every day and kept us informed of the progress of the project. His crew was professional and cleaned up the construction area daily. We were able to make some changes to the sidewalk layout as the project was done. Robert offered suggestions and his opinion. Robert’s crew did the same work at the same time for my next door neighbor and we both got a discount because of the savings in travel and labor cost. He is trustworthy and easy to work with. I recommend him for your concrete projects.

Superb job! Excellent experience from beginning to end. Mr. Barrett was extremely responsive to phone calls and texts. He kept us updated throughout. Work went smoothly. Crew was great. Price was very competitive based on 6 or 7 estimates we got before proceeding. Driveway looks great and we hired them to apply a penetrating sealer to try to keep it looking that way.

Robert and his brother along with their crew did an amazing job on our concrete. I found Robert great to work with and always willing to address our questions. His prices were very competitive, but his customer service is what made us choose his company over the rest. He also provide a great reference list and jobs nearby that we could checkout.

I did the standard reach out to 3 companies. Robert was the only one that actually came to my house and explained everything to me. Not only that, but he then told me what to look for in all estimates and admitted he wasn't the cheapest option. I was very impressed with his honesty. Plus, he saw a noticable gap between the concrete front porch and the ground and recommended he fix the problem (which he did). If I did nothing, eventually the front porch would cave in. I was so blown away by his overwhelming professionalism and told him unless I see a video of him eating children, he was hired! His crew was equally excellent and more than happy to explain anything they did as they removed my old asphalt driveway of 26 years and created a new concrete driveway. A month later he came back to lay down a sealant that will protect the oustanding job he performed. The walkway to the front porch now connects, which never happened all 18 years I've lived in my home! He said he could make that happen, but I'm just so happy by everything he did! Plus, the 7+ inch gap between my driveway and garage is gone! No more shake, rattle and roll every time I drive my car in the garage! He said he could make it practically seamless and he did! I still smile everytime I back my car out of the garage! I just love the overall work and consider him the only option in concrete work in the fine city of Columbus!

Despite multiple unforeseen and uncontrollable (weather) issues, Robert and his crew worked incredibly hard to complete the work per the scope. The current driveway was not installed correctly when the house was built in 1993, so it took a great deal more time to remove and replace the correct way. The existing step from our front porch and slope of the sidewalk were out of code and a potential insurance nightmare. Again, Robert and his team made sure to communicate this to us and worked tirelessly to install the steps and walkway. Robert has great relationships with the local City and permit officials as well as subcontractors - this was incredibly important to our scope of work. We would recommend (and have recommended!) his company to anyone in the area and will consider him first in the future for any work.

5 years ago had an awful driveway experience and addressed all of my concerns with Robert. He professionally addressed each and every one and the job was done perfectly! Robert and his family owned company have restored my faith in the construction business.

Always on time, excellent crew and finished on time

The process was very smooth and they worked hard to complete the project as quickly as possible. We had a few revisions on the whole design and he was very flexible and accommodating with our requests. We could not be happier with the end result. He has an amazing team. They were always very punctual, friendly and cleaned up every day. We look forward to working with them on more projects in the near future.

Robert and his team did a great job on our driveway replacement. They were very prompt each day and efficient in their work. The new driveway looks wonderful and has cured nicely. The crawl space floor which was poured (price was separate) looks very nice and helps to clean up the basement. Great job!!

They were competitive about price, and they were very good about returning calls. I thought they did really good work when they came out and they stayed in touch with us throughout the process. They were very easy to work with when they came out to our home.

Robert's was not the lowest price but we had seen his work all over the hills and were very impressed. I loved that his concrete cures white, and looks perfect. He is a perfectionist about checking weather and other items to be sure everything is just done with the least exposure to problems. He also assisted me with getting my curb patched by my township to protect my investment . When any decisions needed to be made, he contacted me - explained the options and got my choice. He is very knowledgeable about concrete and answered any questions I had. He always tried to present options if there were options for me to choose, such as - penetrating sealer versus surface sealer, flare at the end of the sidewalk. He even helped me ask the right questions of the wrought iron vendor to ensure I got a proper installation with no risk to the new concrete.

Robert was very honest, admitting he misquoted me 3 years ago. He provided a new quote that was about the same as others that I had contacted. Once he looked at the job, he also did some minor design work which made the drive even better. And finally, he patched a hole in the front porch. His team was very professional and arrived on time. It was clear they have worked together for quite some time.

Robert and his loyal crew did a great job replacing our city street sidewalk as well as tearing out our asphalt driveway and pouring a new concrete driveway. They were very efficient and knowledgable. Working with Robert was a pleasure and we would'nt hesitate to hire him again.

Robert, his son, and his crew were polite, professional, and did a great job. They explained things when asked, they were willing to make changes to the original plans on the go, and there was a lot of contact kept throughout both projects. At the completion of the second job we requested an estimate for a new roof. Once they looked at it they were honest in their assessment that a new roof was not needed in the near future. Robert provided references and made it possible to view his work performed for other customers prior to signing any contract and we have received many compliments on the work performed from neighbors who have nightmare stories about their contractors. I would definitely do business with them again.

The driveway looks great and Bob and his company were great. Spending money on a concrete drive isn't the most exciting household project. I'd much rather spend the money on a vacation or the world's largest TV. However, I have received compliments on the drive. The appearance (saw cutting etc.) does show a high level of craftsmanship. Bob kept me informed as to when the project would start (and end). The crew that worked on the drive were very professional. (I should also note that we have irrigation heads near the driveway and those made it through undamaged.) If I ever need concrete work done again, I'd definitely contact Bob. A+

Robert was very responsive to my needs and budget and worked with me to achieve my objectives. He stayed in touch over the winter and scheduled me promptly when the weather permitted.
