Description of Work: We had Robert design and build a custom deck to go over our present concrete patio which needed to either be removed and replaced or be replaced by a deck. The deck not only made for a larger enjoyable area for relaxing and entertaining, but also brought that level up to the level of the patio sliding door. The best part of the deck is that Robert worked very hard to design and construct an ADA quality ramp which our daughter who has MS and is in an electric wheelchair could use. The ramp is not only beautifully designed to fit into the landscape, but is very practical and is enjoyed by one and all as it unobtrusively angles and connects to the driveway between two pine trees. With the wet conditions of last year, the wood did not dry out enough to stain before fall, so Robert came back this year to stain and treat the deck for us. Robert is proud of his work and says it is definitely the most intricate deck he has built for anyone.

Description of Work: WE LOVE OUR NEW PORCH!!! Robert gave us a quote in January 2013. We did not contact him for 4 months. He honored the original quote and started work the next week. He kept us informed of progress and his team was very respectful of our property. We would use him again for other projects. Very personable, always on time, offered suggestions!

+ -1 moreCalled Mr. Barrett. He came out a few days later to give me an estimate for power washing and sealing. He was able to work us in so that he could do the work while we were on vacation. He spent several hours power washing the driveway and then came back the same day (after it dried) to seal the driveway. It looks great. Our neighbors have all commented on how the driveway looks brand new!

He wanted to make sure we were aware that a portion of our irrigation system would need to be moved, etc. The project is on hold for us at this time. However, when we elect to move forward, Robert will be at the top of our list. I would highly recommend contacting him.
Description of Work: We are interested in possibly expanding our driveway to accommodate an additional vehicle.

+ -1 moreExcellent. When I first called he set up an appointment to meet and was right on time. He offered suggestions on how to save money and how to improve the project. He prepared a written estimate and written contract that was easy to understand. No hidden cost or charges. After they tore out the old driveway they loaded truck with what was left of the old pavement. My wife asked one of the workers if she could throw an old fence post (with a concrete ball) on the truck so that we could get it out of the garage. His response was, "Sure...What else would you like to get rid of." The attitude of the whole crew was what can we do for you. Great guys. The job was well done, on time, and on budget. Great company.

Description of Work: Robert came out the day after I called him to give us an estimate on 2,639 sq. ft of concrete for our driveway and a set of exposed aggregate steps. He was very knowledgeable and returned with a quote within 2 days. We decided to wait on the project until the fall or next spring due to our money situation.

+ -1 moreThe patio that came with the home we recently purchased was a mess. It was no longer level and looked awful. Bob Barrett removed it and replaced it with a new exposed aggregate patio that is beautiful. His work is very high quality. He used more gravel and prepared the area much more thoroughly than another concrete contractor we had recently used. He carefully sloped it from our house and included a conduit for telephone and cable wires. The area where we will put our hot tub was reinforced with re-bar. Bob was easy to work with, answered all of our questions, and provided us with helpful suggestions. His price was reasonable. When he left, the area was clean and neat and there was no damage to our yard. We would definitely use his service again and would recommend him highly.

Description of Work: Tear out and replace concrete approach on driveway (about 22 feet by 2 1/2 feet); same for city walk (18 feet by 4 feet); patch asphalt at end of driveway; and reseal asphalt on remaining driveway (65 feet by 18 feet).

+ 0 moreIf the ''grading scale'' allowed for an A+ .. I would score Robert Barrett and his crew an A+ in every catagory. They arrived early each morning, worked hard all day and used care and common sense in their work so as not to damage or disturb any unnecessary areas (lawn/shrubs). It was obvious that they were experienced in their field and I especially admired the ''team work''. I felt very comfortable in having these people at my property. All were very polite and considerate. Mr. Barrett made certain that he totally understood exactly what I wanted to have done. The final product is beautiful. This was a very large job, requiring a lot of materials. I truly feel that the price was excellent. I would have no reservations in recommending this company. I am pleased with every aspect of their work. As the customer it is very satisfying to feel you chose the ''right contractor'', paid a fair price and admire the work that was done!

WE PRICED ABOUT 5 OTHER COMPANIES AND FIRST, NONE OF THEM MENTIONED AN AGGREGATE PATIO, AND SECOND ALL OF THEM WERE SO MUCH HIGHER IN THEIR PRICE. THE QUALITY THAT ROBERT DELIVERED WAS A+ AND COULDN'T GET ANY BETTER. OTHER COMPANIES MENTIONED THAT THEY WOULD BRING IN A BOBCAT TO DO A JOB THIS SIZE, WHICH WOULD HAVE TORE UP MY YARD. MY YARD WAS PERFECT UPON COMPLETION. THERE WERE NO COMPLAINTS WITH ROBERT AND HIS CREW. I WAS LUCKY THAT I PICKED HIM IN GETTING AN ESTIMATE, BECAUSE I COULDN'T ASK FOR ANYONE BETTER.
